Lycan Versus Diego; battle for Kohani

The pale stud wasted no time in getting to the battle grounds. His blood was hot with the prospect of fighting for a mare he had yearned for for years, and he would keep on fighting until he won. Whether he would have to send allies after her or if he would win her today, Kohani would belong to him. His eyes took in his surroundings and he placed himself on a flat, sturdy ledge where he had the most potential to have a height advantage over the slightly taller and more robust stallion. His ears were pinned into a mass of white mane that was still slightly damp from sea water as he dug a hoof into the firm ground behind him. Good. He had a strong base from which he could launch himself if need be. He had inherited the classic Lipizzaner grace from his father and had learned how to fight from the old white stallion. He would not go down easily. His long legs may seem gangly and unseemly but they were quick and dangerous.

"Come now, Diego, lets get this over with. I want Kohani to see her new home." His voice was not venomous or cocky, but very stern and matter of fact. His tail flicked around his hocks like a whip as his eyes continued to explore his surroundings, his nares taking in the scent of blood both fresh and stale, and taking in the rot of desecrated carcasses. All of it thrilled him. This was his first official battle, though it would be a mistake to think him unpracticed. His pelt was littered with scars from large cats, wolves, and numerous encounters with devilish creatures. He knew how to survive. "Come out come out wherever you are...." He wanted to finish this battle and win it. He wanted the pretty white mare for himself. And no one would stop him.

Better be ready for Revenge because I have unleashed the gates of hell.
The dappled buckskin stallion cantered slowly into the homless grounds seething with a cool ferocity that even surprised him a little. How dare a punny little stallion think enough of himself that he could just come in and challenge him for his Queen. Though they may have had their rough patches Diego and Kohani had worked pretty well together and Diego had no intention of ever letting her go. Ever. Diego's thickly muscled form was surprisingly nimble and quick thanks to his heritage. He had a way of moving with such ease and fluidness that it seemed like if every movement was a bit lazy with grace. Diego navy blue colored eyes burned with fierceness and intensity that would scorch a hole through you if looks could kill. Diego's muscles bunched and flexed fluidly under his buckskin hide. Blue eyes scanned his surroundings searching for the poor wretch that dared try to steal his queen. When Diego finally found him, he did not immediately show himself and lucky for him the wind and the weather was in his favor so the other male would not know he had arrived. He heard the stallion speak tell him to show himself. Diego laughed a cruel bitter laugh but remained hidden in beyond the tree line. His opponent stood on top of a gradual incline giving him a slight advantage on highter ground but Diego was already a few inches taller than the brute so the advantage was slim if any.

Diego emerged silently from the brush and stood just a few feet from his opponent. Diego's hoof falls were silent and he said nothing just studying the poor creature who would soon be bleeding and injured on the ground, if Diego had anything to do about it. Diego blinked and began speaking, "I do pity you, you must like to feel pain because you will leave here bleeding and wounded with the knowledge that you were stupidly foolish to try and claim one of my mares, especially my Queen. Since you were foolish enough I guess I will let you know something if I win you will leave with out another word about her, if you by some miracle happen to pull out a victory you may have Kohani but the foal she is carrying will stay with me when it is born." Diego's face was icy calm and composed but there was something in his voice that sent chills down the spines of many a brave stallion. "Let me warn you, If you happen to win, I will never rest. I have made her mine and forever mine she will be." The possessive tone of his voice was edged with a hint of insanity, letting his opponent know that he would never stop fighting for her ever. Whether or not his bluntly stated threats came to fruition only time would tell, but diego would not loose his Queen with out some serious fight.

Diego turned around and walked slowly to his place and the lower end of the gradual incline, giving the other stallion his back, giving him the option to attack luring him in. Diego smiled a little bit insanely before he turned to face his opponent, adrenaline shot through his veins and everything came into focus he developed an awareness for the landscape around him and he waited patiently for the stallion to begin his foolish attack.

He didn't smell the buckskin stud as he approached but his uncontrolled laughter gave him away the moment it reached the pale stallion's ears. Coward. Hiding in the trees., he thought to himself. The concept of sneaking and lurking about like a snake left a bitter taste in Lycan's mouth and he spat on the ground. He rolled his eyes as the other stallion studied him, trying to assess the pale brute. He suppressed a soft chuckle as Diego spouted colorful words, no doubt trying to shake the grey's focus, but it merely made the Lipizzaner hybrid slightly amused. The idea of this brute continuing to pester him, however, was far less humorous. Lycan narrowed his eyes slightly as he spoke. "You have a choice, Diego. Keep the child after it's birth, and swear on the child's life never to challenge for Kohani, or I keep both Kohani and the foal and you can fight as much as you wish. Both of these options are non negotiable. If I lose, I will never challenge you again." His words were steely and venomous, and even such a thick headed brute as the hybrid before him would acknowledge that Lycan wasn't about to leave this territory empty handed.

Attack One

Lycan most certainly wasn't an idiot. Not by any means. He wasn't about to get tricked into charging the larger stallion and getting kicked in the head or the face. He hadn't come here to die. He had come her to win. He was aware that he may have to give up his advantage of the higher ground, but it was worth the risk. He stood still for a moment, calculating his next move, trying to find the maximum amount of damage he could do without walking right into a trap. He arched his neck as he made his decision and moved off to the side of the buckskin brute. Lycan's legs were longer and more agile than the thick heavy ones of his opponent and he would use that to his advantage. In one swift movement Lycan spun around and kicked back, aiming for Diego's soft belly, particularly the tender area of his genitals. If he could damage his equipment somehow, the other stallion would be useless as a lead, unable to produce children again. He was sure he felt his hard, sharp hooves connect with the other stallion's flesh and did his best to quickly get a short distance away. He lifted his forelegs as he whirled around, using a classic move of the Lipizzaner breed. His elegant, thin neck was arched as his brown eyes watched his opponent with what appeared to be a look of disinterest, however each move the buckskin made, Lycan's clever mind was making plans to counteract any possible attack, and looking for ways to worsen any injuries he may have already caused.

Diego watched the other stallion carefully and his dark blue eyes narrowed with distaste, obviously this stallion did not understand what he was saying. "The Child is mine and their for it will stay with me." Diego was digging in his heels there is no way the Buckskin brute would give his pale opponent the chance to corrupt one of his children. "My terms stand as is." Diego was just as stubborn as the pale brute and would not give an inch.

Defense / Damage #1
The pale stallion was not baited into attacking Diego while his back was turned. Though not surprising, Diego was none the less a little disappointed. He very much wanted to give his pale opponent a kick in the face for even thinking to challenge him for his Queen. The Buckskin stallion turned to face his opponent and was ready for the first attack, so when the pale opponent charged at him he saw it coming. Diego had just enough time to move back a step before the iron hooves of his opponent met with Diego side. The blinding pain and flash of red across his vision was enough of an indicator to Diego that something was very wrong. His step back avoided potential damage to his precious stallion hood, but did not prevent the pale brutes hooves from connecting forcefully with the ribs, breaking the last two or three of them. Breathing was agony but Diego would not let Lycan derive satisfaction from the immense pain he had caused him, so he schooled his features till they showed none of the agony. Diego’s assessment took little more than a few seconds before he put himself on the offence for his first attack.

Attack #1
Diego's recovery had only taken a few seconds, his ribs were screaming in pain but the buckskin forced himself to concentrate. Only seconds after Lycan had broken the bottom two or three ribs in his chest the stallion launched himself at the pale stallion. Teeth bared and snapping. Diego aimed to take a chunk out of the back of his opponent’s flank, right where the tendon was. Diego's idea was to cripple the horse enough that they were on a more even fighting field. Diego did not quiet have the same amount of agility that this horse seemed to posses, but he did have fire power and lots of it. His quarter horse mother had given him his thick muscling and stamina. Diego backed out of his attack eyes trained on the stallion. The buckskin brute thought he had hit the tendon spot on, but there was absolutely no way to tell if his attack had even hit Lycan at all.

Sorry Zephyr, but in this situation, no. In order to be able to extend a battle date, you have to post ooc before the time limit or otherwise let someone officially know. You're welcome to rechallenge after one week however.
