Corvo stepped boldly into the Battle Grounds. His solid, large hooves pawed at the dust-choked, crusty earth as the scent of blood reached his nostrils. His ears swiveled as he listened for his opponent. The grey Unmol Horse was not at all afraid to fight. He was quite confident he would win, and therefore it would boost his pride. This was a win-win situation, Corvo was sure. He could not lose. The Unmol Horse walked near a muddy, mosquito-laden pond. The sickly trees that stood off in the distance were speckled with Autumn, and leaves continued to fall from the branches as a stiff wind brushed the land. Corvo ran his tongue against his weaponly teeth, anticipating a good and victorious battle. With a snort of confidence, the Unmol Horse waits eagerly for his opponent to arrive. |

Corvo smelled the stallion approach, and turned his head to him. At Devar's remark and laugh, Corvo snorted lightly. The stallion must have had a pretty... "uneventful" fight recently, so to speak. "Yes, of course I have decided to show up. Only a coward would hide from glorious battle." Corvo sneered. The Unmol Horse's lip twitched before he made his first move. Attack One: Corvo could see that he had some distance from the stallion; perhaps seven feet away. He would make sure he would use this advantage wisely. The grey Unmol Horse's muscles in his legs tense as he is mere moments away of making his first attack. His mind races as he tries to think up some attack plan, his hooves nearly quivering as he prepares to launch himself at the stallion. Corvo suddenly lunges, his legs moving him quickly and his muscles full of fire as they carry him. When he comes up to the stallion, Corvo halts and rears up, tucking his front legs to his chest and crouching on his strong back legs. He unfolds his front legs and shoots them at the stallion like they are bullets, batting his massive hooves wildly. Corvo quickly drops back down to four legs, hoping that he had struck something. Even though he had kept his gaze locked on the stallion, he found that he had no idea whether he inflicted injury or simply batted at the air like some pittiful weakling. Of course he hit the stallion - he could not have batted at nothing. It was not as if the Unmol Horse knew; his pride and confidence had taken over... long ago. There was only one way to tell whether he had done any damage. He looks at the stallion closely to see if he has done any damage, and then waits for the stallion's next move. |

-Defense&Damage 1 The palomino stallion sees the other stallion coming towards him, Devar is not really sure where to go but he did not want to run away. He saw the stallion rearing and Devar was going to defend him self but it did not work out quit like it was supposed to. Corvo had hit Devar in the back but Devar had taken a step away so the hit was not as hard as it would be if he had been closer. Devar could feel that bruises would come soon, he had a small cut but blood was not flooding from it. The stallion was a bit sore from the spot Corvo had hit him with his front hoofs. The palomino scratched the ground with his front hoof and the anger boiled inside him. - Attack 1 The stallion knew that his back would hurt if he would rear like the other stallion and aim for his back so he would have to let that go. He started galloping to Corvo and when he was close enough he reared just a bit from the ground and pushed all his weight towards the other stallion using his hind legs. Devar hoped that he would hit the stallion but now he was unsure if he would keep balance, Devar was able to stand on his legs but he had forgotten to think if he hit the other stallion or not. He trotted away, it had been hurtful for his back to do this but he hoped it had been worth it. |

Defense 1: Corvo eyed Devar's approach, and his heart began to race. Corvo let his heart guide his next move. When Devar came close, Corvo was almost caught off-guard when the stallion reared up... and threw all his weight at him. Corvo took a step back and reared up as fast as he could to avoid Devar's blow to his chest, but as he tucked his front legs up to his chest, he felt an excrutiatingly painful strike to his left knee. The Unmol Horse felt something snap, and he cried out in pain and hastily landed. The struck knee was locked in a bent position. Corvo winced, knowing that things were really turning ugly. Attack 2: Corvo knew that he could not do much with this damaged knee. He could probably pop it into place, but in the middle of battle that might take too long, or be too tricky, to do. The gray stallion tossed himself at Devar by lunging, baring his teeth and exposing his gums. He balanced himself on his right leg and then his two back legs as momentum aided his balance. His weak leg he kept limp, not daring to move that painful limb. He made it look as if he were aiming for Devar's throat, but when he came close he suddenly changed craned his neck and tilted his head to try and bite down on Devar's shoulder. Corvo pulled his jaws together, his teeth almost making a slicing sound, and then stepped back, almost loosing his balance as a result. The Unmol Horse managed to catch his balance, though, by painfully forcing his injured leg onto the ground. It was nauseating, the pain, and Corvo could feel himself almost becoming light-headed and loosing focus. With a quick few blinks, Corvo studied Devar to look if he had done any damage. |

-Defense&Damage 2 When Devar heard the stallion cry in pain then Devar felt lucky that he was hurt. That would make is enemy weaker and easier to defeat. Devar's back was still hurting from Corvo's attack. Devar wanted to be ready for his next attack but he was too late, the other stallion was already there and about to attack. Devar felt Corvo's teeth touching his shoulder skin. He felt the pain but he wasn't sure how bad the wound was. He whinnied angrily from the pain. He did not see or feel any blood coming from the wound but it felt like it was burning. He had gotten a pretty big scratch. -Attack 2 With his shoulder and back hurt next attack would be hard. Corvo seemed to have hurt his leg bad. The palomino stallion scanned the other stallion thinking how he could attack. He was going to release all the energy he had left, no matter how much the pain in his back or shoulder would try to disturb him, he had to finish this. He pushed him self at the stallion with his hind legs but his back and shoulder hurting him already. The pain Devar was going to block out would not be so easy as he thought it would be. When he came close he turned him self around and kicked with his hind legs as hard as his back allowed him towards the stallion. He tried to aim for the head but he wasn't sure if he succeeded or not. He kicked again but not as hard this time and it was nearly above the ground, Devar could not do more. He trotted quickly away from the other stallion, he looked at him to see if he had done any damage. The wound on his shoulder was bleeding now, it had opened up. |

Defense 2: Corvo was disappointed that he had only inflicted a scratch, but it did look like it was about to bleed. It was going to have to be good enough. He saw Devar's approach, the opponent spun around and kicked, and Corvo again tried his rearing technique, seeing that Devar was aiming high, probably for his jaw. Corvo felt two hooves land at the front of his neck, but the blow was not hard. It would probably only leave a couple of bruises. Corvo began to descend, thinking it was safe and that their fight was over, but when Devar kicked again the blow landed messily on his jaw. The blow was much harder than the first one, for Corvo had put himself in a vulnerable position by assuming it safe and descending to four legs. Nothing was dislocated, but he could feel that it was close. He would wear an ugly, swollen, near-bleeding bruise on his jaw as a souvenier for a while. The Unmol stallion was aching in so many places, and his knee felt like someone was constantly twisting it and stabbing it at the same time. Corvo panted heavily as sweat lined his forelock. |
