![]() In dreams he came, that voice which calls to me... With a distance gaze she moved one limb after the other, carrying her predominately ebonite figure across the land. The feeling, uneasiness and unfamiliarity was ironically all too familiar. It frightened her to death really, that Tyzin had become so close to her. It had been a hope that maybe he might want to be closer to her, but in Azrael's life, no dream ever came true. She wondered what kind of sick joke he might be playing on her. Yet, in an attempt to make the most of her awful luck she'd convinced herself that it was enough to have been noticed and important enough to want to break her heart like he did. She'd make the most of her time on Tyzin's good side, play it cool maybe he'd like who she really was. It took her only a second to realize that even she didn't know who she was. What was she like? What was Azrael's favourite colour? Her favourite thing to do? Was she loyal, or was she rebellious? Blue was nice, the colour of the sky, it was big and it was free. The sky had no owner, not like the Earth. Maybe she was just so desperate that the little positive attention Tyzin had showed her had blinded her, even to herself. Azrael was a bit rebellious, but she had rather enjoyed being a part of Diego's herd, and then at the same time she had wished to run away and be a family with Kailonee the moment she had arrived. She hadn't though, she'd remained loyal, and that was probably for the best, her life had depended on her loyalty like it would forever now. Chestnut eyes now swept the surface of Tyzin's land. What would he think of her now? How should she react to Diego sending her to him? Had he asked for her? Should she be flattered? She was honored indeed, and though Diego hadn't ever really been mean to her, he'd never been nice to her either and she was glad to be away from him. Azrael was terrified, her future was now the responsibility of Diego and Tyzin, if neither were concerned for her... She dreaded the thought, or maybe she was better off under their radar. Was Tyzin as cruel as some of the others? Or would he take care of her? Azrael shook her head and looked around once more. She was the quiet type, unsure of what to do now. Her body came to a complete stop, her tail whipped violently at her sides leaving a sting along where the deep ebony met the contrasting pale ivory hue that dripped down her rump. She wouldn't call to him, she didn't have the voice for it. Her own was a tired one, easily strained and her energy was easily drained by social interactions. With Tyzin she felt safe, she hoped this would not change that. Naturally Azrael's head lowered attempting to be smaller, less seen and less threatening. She managed little more than a nervous whisper "Tyzin?" She could not see him and he definitely would not hear her, but she didn't want to be there alone. She wanted to be there with Tyzin, that was Diego's deal, right? That she would come Tyzin and be free of that monster who took her home. Or her prison. Azrael hardly thought negatively of the Tin Chapel, but she had not been invited, she'd been held captive. So long as she obeyed she was treated nicely, a fair enough exchange though it left little joy in her heart. She'd never have left if given the chance, but she'd have liked it more if they had at least seemed happy to have her there. Would Tyzin be happy that she was there? She was glad that she was sent to Tyzin, she was familiar with him. He had been nice to her, she would be loyal and if either of them wished it, she'd return to Diego whenever they told her to. This was her conclusion as she stood beneath the cold overcast sky, the sound of the water lapping against the dead shore was both soothing and slightly eerie. There was a chill that hung around her, or maybe it was her own aura of death and sadness, it hung about her like a fog. It was all the hate and bitterness locked away within her seeping out and sticking to her. At least it didn't come out in violence, right? And speaks my name... The snow-capped mare entered the territory at a slow walk, her son dawdling behind her. With an impatient nicker she called to him, urging him to catch up. The colt hardly tried to run; so either he was lazy or there was something wrong with him. Iorum shook her head slightly. Rhône trotted for a few moments to arrive at his mothers side; he was an attractive little thing, a bay varnish roan appaloosa with extra spots. Iorum doted upon her first-born son. How would Tyzin react to him? Then the scent of another female crossed her nares; was this female a friend to be had? Iorum followed the scent of her until she found the other supposed mare. Something about her scent was too familiar. Iorum couldn't put her hoof on it. "Excuse me, do you know where Tyzin is? I'm Iorum; do we know each other? You seem familiar." Rhône simply looked at the other horse, no thoughts spoken of. |

![]() I don't know her but... The constant uneasiness was one she carried with her. Chestnut eyes flickering frantically searching for safety, whatever form it might have come to her in. Strands of ebony whipped up around her bringing a foreign scent to her. There wasn't much fear but instead curiosity. Her eyes searched continuously until she spotted a mare and her young foal. Her head twisted and tilted away shyly. The words that flowed from the young mare caused her own ears to flick back with irritation. If Azrael had known where Tyzin was she wouldn't be standing out here looking for him like a fool, now would she? But she could hardly blame the femme for trying. Her head shook in reply, the only sound she could off now was a soft quiet voice that twisted to make the sounds that formed her name."Azrael." She forced the sound forward, eyes now turning to look at the colt. A scared look came across her face before she turned away from him again. He said nothing, maybe he was quiet, like her? She cared little for their names, Iorum? Now what would she do with that? As often as she spoke she had little use for the names of strangers. They were more of a burden on her mind than anything else. However she was thankful that the colt didn't bother with such nonesense, chiming in after his mother. Maybe it was her guilt that made her search for any reason to dislike this pair, she should've been with Granite. She should have been with him now caring for him, assuring him that he would be ok without their mother. She worried, endlessly, where was he, was he ok now? And what on Earth would Diego do with him now? Perhaps Granite would be ok, and he like Tyzin would become successful under Diego. Tyzin was clearly not of Diego's own blood, but this was only wishful thinking. High hopes that could never truly be confirmed until Granite out lived Diego. I know that I need her. |

The way life should be

![]() Tyzin stepped into his land and after a few strides released a sigh of contentment, no stallion had appeared to even step foot in his home, which was more than he had expected. Tyzin unlike his adoptive father had a conscious, and when he smelled the scent of Iorum and his first foal he felt the slightest twinge of guilt for not being their to greet them and then a pang of guilt when he had remembered that he had left Azrael all alone, for a good sum of time, but he could have done nothing else his father needed him and so he had gone. Scanning the land as he loped through his home looking for the pair of mares and his first foal. He let out a soft call that carried all through his home and followed Iorums trail. Upon seeing them in the distance Tyzin picked up his pace and in a few minutes was slowing down as not to barrel through and frighten his first son. A small smile appeared on his face as he approached. "Hello Azreal, I am sorry I kept you all alone here for such a long time. My father needed me and It was my duty to go to him as a son and an ally." Tyzin then turned to Iorum and a small smile."I see you have brought me back a son, well done Iorum. Only time will tell if he will be made my heir." Tyzin then stepped back and looked at both of his mares, he was quiet content with his life at the current moment, though he knew that it would not last for long because, by his fathers word he was bound to Cian as an Ally and from what he had been told, the tensions growing between the 2 powerful darks were about to reach a breaking point. |

The Appaloosa-patterned mare watched the younger and nodded once she had spoken her name, but she spoke nothing mare. Iorum's black auds flicked backward in irritation. The least she could have said was that she didn't know where Tyzin was. But before the mare could retort, the stallion appeared. The varnish bay colt ducked under his barrel to appear at her other side, opposite of the larger male. When Tyzin spoke, he revealed his whereabouts: helping his fathe. Iorum nodded;; that wasn't such a big problem unless he had been gone for a few months. Then he turned and spoke to her, congratulating her in a way she guessed. Iorum knew nothing of the war, she only knew that her sister had mentioned going off to find her daughter. The snow-capped frowned, she knew Kailonee had mentioned the name of the filly. Iorum sighed to herself, she would have to do something about her confounded memory. "Tyzin, would you happen to know where Diego's land is? I'm afraid my sister may have been held up there. I need to know if she's alright." Iorum shifted her weight, suddenly getting sick feeling in her gut. Something had happened, and she didn't know what. The colt angled his head around under his dam's neck to look at his sire. He smiled childishly. "I'm Rhône." Iorum gave her son a small smile before plunging back into her thoughts. OOC: I'm going to post Granite in my next post. It was never said if Diego was raising him or not; so I'm assuming he followed Azrael, and that Iorum will nurse him for a short time. |

![]() I'm broken abandoned... Mention of Tyzin's father only caused her heart more pain. Her once empty chestnut eyes glazed over with interest. She stretched her neck reaching her nose for Tyzin, she wasn't sure why but she felt she needed to be closer if only for a moment. He had showed her so much kindness and understanding she only wished he'd give her this last piece of comfort. However this made her feel out of place and quickly her chin curled back to her chest and her gaze once more became blank. She waited patiently for Iorum and 'Rhone' to finish speaking though her 'excitement' almost couldn't be contained."Tyzin, my apologies but was Granite there? Was he well? I thought that he might come here, but I don't wish impose upon your rule with my own issues of family."She was half hearted on this whole thing. She hadn't wanted to leave the colt, he was all she had left of her family. Mostly of her mother. There was little time to have formed a bond but the love for her brother seemed almost instant. She only wished that he be safe and that Tyzin be happy and not feel threatened by a colt that was not his own. Azrael herself knew that she didn't have the means to care for the foal on her own. She was no mother, and she had a rather poor example to follow, but she was not heartless. To leave her brother as her mother had left them both seemed cruel, and the worst part was that Kailonee seemed genuine in her attempt to be a family. She had actually planned to, for the first time, care for this foal as she always should've done. Granite would never get that now, not even the comfort of knowing that his mother had planned to care for him. The thoughts were saddening, but Azrael was helpless and she felt it. Useless even. But you are an Angel. Edited by Duvessa, Nov 28 2011, 10:58 PM.

The way life should be

T y z i n The bay stallion looked at both his mares who both seemed to have something on there minds so he stayed quiet for the time being. Attention flicking towards the mare who called herself Iorum he listened quietly, his eyes narrowed in suspicion for a brief moment before the emotion left completely. She was concerned for her sister... Kailonee. Ahhh shit. He thought to himself. He hated tangling with sobbing mares and damsels in distress it just was not the kind of stallion he was. "Did your sister happen to be named Kailonee? She was killed a week or two ago for unreasonable behavior and failure to do as told by my father." As he was talking out of the corner of his eye he saw Azrael reach out for him, for some comfort and he desperately wanted to give it to her. He turned his attention to Azrael but she had already returned to her regular position. "Granite followed you to my lands if I remember the plan correctly, have you not seen him, I swore I crossed his scent trail while returning through my lands..." he said somewhat pensively. "Hello Rhone, It is very nice to meet you I am Tyzin." He inhaled his sons scent and stepped back waiting for the mares to respond. |

![]() Sometimes love is not enough and ... The way he spoke of her mother caused her ears to flatten against her head, it was true yes, but did he have to be so cruel? It didn't matter now, she couldn't blame him for not being sympathetic. Azrael couldn't deny her love for Kailonee, it was an unconditional one, her mother might not have been the smartest or prone to reacting without thinking. Wasn't that how she died after all? In any case the loss of her mother was not Tyzin's fault it was Kailonee's alone and even she could not be blamed this time. When he addressed her question, she felt an emptiness. It should've been joy but now more then ever she worried about him. He was out there all alone looking for her? How could she have been so selfish, not waiting for him? In that moment her eyes fixed on Tyzin filled with frantic hope. "You would allow him to stay here then?" She turned her head to look at Iorum momentarily, having let the previous words indicating that this mare was her aunt slip her mind completely. She didn't even allow herself to think on it, instead moving away from the idea completely. She'd not bothered to make the connection that Iorum referred to Kailonee as a sister, as far as Azrael knew her grandmother was dead and had been since as long as she could remember. This mare was about Azrael's age, it simply didn't add up here so she brushed it off. In the back of her mind however, the thought was there. Perhaps later she would revisit the whole situation. The road gets tough, I don't know why. |
