We have nothing to fear but human stupidity and the squirrels.
She was eager. Eager to have this foal out and on the ground. She was tired of carrying this burden. She had wanted a foal but the pregnancy part was something she wasn't a fan of. But it was neccessary. But still. A kick made her dark ears flatten against her skull. Reaching around her swollen barrel she nips at her side. Blasted little bugger she thinks to herself. Motioning her black socked legs forward the Arabian hybrid looks around for a spot to give birth.

Finding a little cave like structure some ways from the border she settles to grazing as the first contractions begin. Her black tail flicks across her rump. Sighing she lies upon the mossy floor. The coolness feels good against her buckskin body. She looks out at the meadow watching the various creatures running about. Contractions become more frequent. She begins to pant and sweat covers her body. Rolling onto her side she begins to push. Raising her head a few times the pushing continues. It seems to take forever. But finally the last of her foal slips free from her. She lies there for a few moments before rolling onto her belly to look back at her new baby. A reddish thing is squirming about. She rises to her feet to clean off her new baby. A loving nicker comes from her throat. Licking the thing she discovers she has a filly. A beautiful little daughter to bring home to Breaker. Hopefully he would be happy to have a filly. Zelda was happy about having a filly.

The filly soon begins to make attempts at standing. She makes it in only a few tries. Looking around she walks towards her mother to find the milk source. Zelda smiles as her daughter begins to drink. Her daughter is soon finished and settles on the mossy cave floor to sleep.

They stayed in the cave for a few days before Zelda decides to return home. "Come along Abigail. Yes Abigail shall be your name." And they returned home.
