The painted mare looked at the place that would be her new home. A strange feeling crept into the back of her throat. She wasn't sure about this. This was strange to say the least. Seeing as this was her first new home in five years was it? It had been so long. So long she had followed Shetan to the ends of the earth only to have him disappear. Sighing she looks back to her two year old daughter who is following close behind. She hated uprooting her daughter. But the mare knew she could no longer linger alone in the empty land.

Flaring her nostrils she took in the scents that came to her. Not many. But at least one mare. She was eager to have another mare to talk to. Willow is a kind mare and loves meeting new faces. Despite having been the lead she didn't let that go to her head. She wasn't one to throw her rank around. She treated everyone the same. Her father had taught her well. And well having to endure her younger years with a mute mother...one learns a lot about kindness and patience. Sighing she looks around for Shieryon.

Coming to a stop in the middle of the territory she felt a light breeze wind its way across the land. Smiling she looks at her daughter who had wandered a little ways off. The filly was drinking from a stream and slapping flies with her black tail. Willow wasn't worrried. Her daughter was old enough now to care for herself. Lowering her own head to the ground the mare nibbles at the grass to await the stallion.

Azalea finishes her drink and looks at her mother. She nickers to her and then does a bucking gallop over to her. Stopping a few feet away the black and white mare lowers her head and grazes beside her mother.

Desire was grazing in the southern end of the territory with her Daughter Rhea, when a new and unfamiliar scent reached her. It must be the new mare Shieryon had told them was coming. Wickering to her daughter to tell her to come along Desire and Rhea cantered until they found the new pair. The Foal was much older than Rhea but that did not stop the little filly from calling out to the elder one. Desire spoke to the other mare who seemed to be much her senior."Hello my name is Desire, and this is my daughter Rhea. You must be the new mare Shieryon was telling us was coming." Desire told her in a friendly voice.

The black and white Vanner male had been patrolling the western borders of the Towers for the better part of the afternoon before he came to a stop. He had seen little of his sons since the meeting with their mother. Part of this realization disturbed him; he wanted as much time with his sons before they became of age. The Vanner stallion smirked slightly; he barely remembered the day that he had turned three. He had spent that day alone, looking for a land to call his own. The Vanner had thought that he had found it, but, alas, Asch had come and challenged him for it. And Shieryon had lost. Black Cavern had been a somewhat dangerous land anyway, the Vanner had sought to leave its borders for a few weeks when Asch had come along. Shieryon shook his head slightly, silky white tresses falling against the curvature of his black-splashed neck. Enough of that. The stallion inhaled deeply, flaring his alabaster nostrils as he did so. His eyes shot open as his lips pulled up in a smile. Willow and Azalea had arrived. He had been wondering if they would decide to live with him; and he was glad that they had come even if, perhaps, Sheikra had not. As he began his trek towards their location, he noticed the scents of Desire and Rhea. His black auds buried somewhat into his mane. He, alone, was supposed to approach new-comers. For all she knew it could have been a Rogue who wished to do her harm. He would have to approach Desire about this in private.

Coming towards the four females, Shieryon inclines his head aristocratically, appearing to be the Alpha male he knows that he is. His black-splashed coat is sleek in the throes of summer, which was due to arrive any day. The Vanner stallion dips his head respectfully to Willow and Azalea alike before turning to Desire and their daughter Rhea. The stallion's brown eyes gaze Desire a meaningful look, hoping she knew that he had to talk to her about rules. He knew that he would have to get some in place before any other new-comers arrived. The stallion wasn't fond of the idea of an enemy coming into the land and having all of his mares and precious children flocking to him unknowingly, not suspecting any danger. Turning his chocolate eyes back to Willow, his tones are warm and welcoming, "Hello, Willow; I'm glad that you and Azalea have made it here safely." He touched his duo-colored muzzle to hers before touching Azalea's shoulder. He smiled again, his confidence in himself and his mares and children was shining proud. "I see that you have met Desire and little Rhea." The Vanner turns his head to Desire and welcomes the sight of her; he touches her muzzle and traces the contours of her neck affectionately, speaking to her low and private-like. "Hello, darling." He inhales her scent deeply, memorizing it again. Then, Shieryon turns to Willow again, speaking for the four of them to hear. "I'm sure Fearless and my boys will be along soon enough." The Vanner smiled to his mares and the fillies warmly; he was glad his family was coming together.

The painted mare swished her tail against her white flank. Her daughter was grazing quietly a few feet away. She eyed her. Her daughter looked so much like her father. Her black coat with a few white interruptions was shiny in the late sun. Sighing she raises her head a little. Still no movement from the denizens of this land. Did she find herself in another empty land? Hoping not she resumes grazing.

Its a few moments before she hears light hoof beats against the grassy land. Raising her head she spies a mare and young foal. Raising her head to meet eyes with the mare. The filly nickers to Azalea. Willow smiles to the pair. Happy to not be alone with the prospect of a friend. Not being an ambitious power hungry mare Willow was just content to meet new faces. The mare introduced herself and her daughter. Looking at her daughter for a second Willow turns to the mare. "Its nice to meet you Desire. I am Willow and this is my daughter Azalea." Azalea was standing beside her mother...standing tall. She gave away her little bit of Arabian breeding. Willow knew her daughter would make a stallion very happy very soon.

Its not long before a masculine scent reaches her nostrils. Shieryon has finally made it. He looks at Desire and Rhea. She isn't sure of the look he gives the other mare. She senses the other mare may have not supposed to have greeted her and Azalea without a lead doing so first. Shetan hadn't been quite so strict...but then he wasn't around much. Her ears dart forward when the stallion speaks. Willow nods. He touches her muzzle and then touches Azalea. Willow tenses only slightly. But she gets over it quickly. "Thank you. It was a nice journey. Wouldn't you say Azalea?" The filly merely nodded to her mother. He spoke again and Willow nodded.

Azalea watches as he acknowledges his daughter. Azalea smiles slightly. Remembering her father doing the same. She sighs. She misses her father right now. Wishing the stallion hadn't left taking her older brother with him. The filly knows this hurt her mother something fierce. Azalea promised herself that she would find a stallion that would never do that. They both look up when he speaks again. Azalea looks at Rhea. "Hello Rhea."

Willow smiles as her daughter interacts with the younger one. She looks around to see if any of the others are arriving. Hoping. More friends would be great.

Desire was happy to make new friends and her filly was not object to the idea either. Rhea was bouncing around like the little endless ball of energy she was always looking for a game of tag, especially when her sire was around. For some reason or another she idolized him and saw him as the best fun she'd ever had in her small life. But since he was not here, this other filly would have to do. Rhea stretched out her muzzle and bumped Azalea in the shoulder Hi Azalea, your it! she squeeled before careening away. Desire chuckled a little at the sight of her rambunctious filly. "They have so much energy at this age" she told the other mare, while smiling brightly. "Well it is very nice to meet you Willow and I must say your daughter is beautiful." Desire was not lying she thought that Willows daughter was indeed pretty. She is going to make a stallion happy someday.

In all the excitement of having a new mare to talk to and having her daughter a new playmate the thought just donned on her that Sheiryon was not even here. He was not here. Meaning that she had greeted a complete stranger with out any protection. Not that she needed it she was a strong and stubborn mare but some stallions do not like there mares greeting potential threats first. Then forgetting her worries as a new more familiar scent reached her nares. Shieryon. She nickered to him as he approached but stopped halfway through because of the look he gave her. Her fears confirmed she lowered her head and gave Shieryon a look of apology. She knew she had done wrong, but she felt better when he called her darling and traced the contours of her neck. hello, Sher, I am sorry. she muttered tenderly to the black and white stallion. All the suddenly Rhea who had been happily absorbed in her game of tag sees her sire and books it towards him. "Daddy!" she cries as she slows to a stop beside her sire. "Can we please play tag? please daddy?" she put on her little innocent Rhea face which not many people fell for anymore but cute none the less. She was a daddy's girl no doubt about it.

Ariston walked briskly, his muscles bunching and stretchign with each movement. He was starting to fill out handsomely. Though he was shorter than his brother, Arisen, he was heavier built. They were also twins, however that was hard to discern as they had different coat colors, different personalities, and different builds. However, their strong, unbreakable bond that not many siblings had made it apparent they were twins, and their uncanny abilities to read each other without a thought. This is what the young paint ponders as he nears a small group. He scents newcomers, and his head raises, nostrils flare. He doesn't recognize them from anywhere, so he continues.

He starts to wonder if Judas will ever come knocking, asking for his old alliance or for help in his little band. He is sure the older male wouldn't recognize him very much, but scents are hardly forgotten, and he does not want to have to leave his family-growing family- at that. Ribcage expands as he lets loose a heavy sigh, hoping his mother was close behind. He knew she had already reached the borders, but the filly travelled slow as she was merely days old. Fearless had carried the foal longer than usual, and she was anxious to return to Shieryon so she didn't upset him. The colt kicked his stride into a gentle lope, nickering to the party ahead.

He sees his younger sister, Rhea, and smiles brightly. They had a strangely close bond already. He stops, his presence teaming with grace and magnificence for a two year old. He held his head proud and high, but not in a superior way. He would be one very strong and elegant stallion someday. He tips his broad head to the new mare and foal. Greetings. I would be Ariston, son of Shieryon and Fearless. He said, his voice radiating the confidence he carried. He looked to his father coolly. The foal refused to be born for the longest of time, but I am happy and relieved to announce she is within the borders and heading our way. He concluded, satisfied with his report.

No sooner had he finished speaking that a strong, regal neigh echoed from where he had appeared a minute before. Fearless came, with her painted daughter in tow. The filly had napped at the border, and was bubbling with energy, giving off squeaks and squeals that had absolutely no structure or words in them. Fearless watched her daughter with love-filled eyes, but she knew if Shieryon chose her to be lead, that she would have to erase that and become the lead mare she had been with Charlie. Strong, ambitious, and resilient as well as a few others. She only hoped her lead stallion would be satisfied with their new daughter.

She watched as the foal caught sight of the other horses. Instead of darting between her mother's legs like she had before at the sight of the other horses outside of the Quarry, she squealed and made a beeline straight for them. Her young mind soon made the connection of recognition upon seeing Ariston, and she veered to go straight for him, but this horse was much bigger than she remembered Ariston being. The familiar masculine voice called out for her to slow, so she looked to see Ariston-the real one- whipping around and heading her way. She didn't connect the worry on his face as she was too young, but she suddenly collided with soemthing and her legs tangled within themselves.

Ariston swiftly tugged her mane and crest, then nudging the filly to stand. The poor thing was huffing and puffing, her legs tired and heart bursting. Fearless soon came, but Ariston didn't allow her to see her own foal, trying to get her into shade. She instead collapsed underneath him, where shade was plenty, and fell asleep immediately. Fearless sighed and left her foal to Ariston's charge. She turned to the others, giving a graceful bow. Hello, everyone. I am Fearless, and this is my daughter, Xyla. She nudged Shieryon affectionately, then to Desire. She smiled brightly at her friend before going to the newcomers. She extended her muzzle out to the filly. You are a gorgeous thing, little one. It is a good thing Shieryon is a big stallion to keep the others off of you. You will make a fine mare indeed. What is your name? Fearless's voice was gentle yet firm, knowing not many horses liked a sappy horse.

Shiekra

The bay mare walked into the land called the Weeping Towers. She had taken longer than expected to get here, and hoped that Willow would not be angry. Seeing some horses in the distance, she trotted over. Coming up beside Willow, she spoke softly to the mare. I am so sorry that I took so long to get here. But I said I would travel with you and I will. Smiling at Azalea, she looked over at Shieryon and spoke. Hello, Shieryon. It is nice to see you again. Then, looking at the others she spoke to them. Hello. I'm Shiekra. It is nice to meet you. Smiling, she awaited a reply.

Daphne

The palamino mare walked into her new home, thankful that she had gotten her vision back before she entered the land. sniffing the air, she found Shieryon and a few other horses' scents on the breeze. Trotting towards them, she came up beside Sheiryon and spoke. Hello, Sheiryon. How have you been sinse I last saw you in the homeless? The miniature horse looked around at the other horses and smiled at them, awaiting a reply.

The Vanner stallion smiled as Desire and Willow interacted; Rhea's playful antics with Azalea made a low chuckle rumble in his throat. When the little filly asked if she and he could play tag, Shieryon laughed and nuzzled her cheek lovingly. "Perhaps a little later, love. We have to make sure to gather everyone and say hello." The black paint raised his head and smiled as he noticed Ariston making his way towards them. The stallion touched his muzzle to the colt's shoulder; it was good to see him. He loved his children very much, but Arisén had yet to show up to the gathering. A sense of excitement and calm washed over Shieryon as Fearless' neigh echoed to them. Shieryon's dark eyes searched for the pair eagerly, and he smiled broadly as a young filly charged towards them. Colliding with Ariston, the stallion's ears pricked forward and his face almost screamed of concern, but the filly fell asleep, and the stallion nodded to himself.

Fearless' touch sent a buzzing through his body, how he loved her. Shieryon's dark muzzle lingered on her withers ad neck before turning to greet Shiekra and Daphne. He smiled warmly, "Shiekra, I'm so glad that you decided to come here. And Daphne, I have fared well since then; my young children bring me much happiness." The Vanner looked over at Xyla and smiled. For being a little new to running a herd, he was doing well: six mares if he could count Azalea and four children. He was very proud of himself, but now was the time for leadership. "Now that almost everyone is here, I will say a few things. I'm very happy to see you all, and I'm glad to see that the children are growing well. A new season will be upon us, and, if any of you desire, new children will be born. As a family, we need to stick together. I'd like to ask that any more new-comers shall be approached by myself only," -he glanced towards Desire- "This is to ensure your safety. I don't want any harm to come to you or the children."

Willow laughed as her daughter played with the younger filly. She had taught Azalea to be kind to others. She knew Azalea would never be the cantankerous type of mare to cause too much trouble. But she also knew Azalea would stand her ground if she needed to. She was a worthy daughter of Shetan. Willow sighed and looked at the ground. She missed the black stallion but needed to pull herself out of her past. Looking at Desire as she complemented Azalea. "Thank you. I believe she gets her looks from her father." She watched as the other mare spoke to the stallion of the herd.

Azalea watched the other filly greet her father. Speaking with enthusiasm. The nearly grown filly frowned. She had only seen her father a couple of times really. Willow noticed another approaching the group. This one appeared to be male for sure. Must be a son Shieryon. He definatly looked it. Her assumption was fulfilled when he spoke. Willow nodded to him. Another mare was making her way towards them with an happy foal running ahead. Willow almost longed for another. She was quite young yet in her prime. She couldn't wait around for Shetan to return. Willow smiled as the mare introduced herself. "Hello Fearless. Its nice to meet you. This is my daughter Azalea."

Her eyes widen at the sight of her friend Shiekra. Happy to see the other followed. A little guilty the other mare felt compelled to follow her. But she was happy nonetheless. "Its good to see you Shiekra." She smiled to her friend and allowed her to introduce herself to the rest of the herd. IT was quite the herd as yet another joined them.

She looked to their stallion as he began to speak. Remaining respectful she listened intently. She nodded as he finished. "I appreciate the welcome Shieryon. Thank you for having us in your herd. I do believe I would like to have a foal this season..." She paused. It felt weird to ask it of another stallion...but life has to move on.
