In a sense, the 'captial' of the Marredland, it is the area where the crack following the Great Split is narrowest, and the only place where one may cross to the Western half of the continent.

A mountain resting in a tilted position and jutting out over the sea, the ocean cuts inward beneath it. It is said that long ago the Council of Placidity met here in order to keep peace throughout the lands. This land encompasses both the mountain and the beach.

Located in the southern portion of the Marredland, this land is well named. The prevailing Kormadian winds seem to have a preference for directing hot ash from the Vaporous Eye downward and into the dry trees on the ridge. It is therefore very prone to wildfires, and Scarmakers enjoy wreaking havoc here.

Feared by most due to its reputation as the home of many restless spirits, this sector is not a pleasant place to live. Long ago a Necromancer lived here, but she too fell victim to the dead.

To reach this place, one must pass through an area of the South Codex. When mountains collapse, the loose fragments tend to slide into this territory, hence making it a rather dangerous place to call home.

A land surrounded by a range of active volcanoes, it is constantly changing due to new lava flows. It is the southern end of a land which takes the form of an ancient book.

This lake appeared shortly after the Vaporous Eye's eruption a few years back. While its water is safe to drink, the temperature is too warm at the surface, and too cold in the deepest parts, that aquatic life does not seem to exist here. Most edible plants are found a few hundred feet from shore, and whatever plants are found in the water do not seem to be able to survive. These dead plants form a thick, squishy marsh-like area along the entire shoreline of the lake.

A region considered to be a part of Ashen, in which the earth appears to have been twisted in all directions as a result of the Great Split.

The great volcano towards the Western end of the Marredland, few are capable of surviving its deadly temperament.

When viewed from above, one can only see about five feet down before darkness conceals the bottom of this gorge. A small stream runs through the territory just barely providing enough drinking water. No light reaches the gorge except for the occasional greenish fog. This land is well-named, for those who live here are apt to be pestered by haunts of the equine and non-equine nature.
