Major Turney and Captain Cooper watched the Danes roll out of the camp. Turney had got word they were off to help Bravo. His men were getting a bit restless. Here they were in the baking sun, and here they had been for a full month now. And yet they still hadn't been properly let out into the field. Whats the use in special forces if you aren't going to use them? He remembered his time in Afghanistan. There they went out almost daily and got stuck in- they didn't faff about with patrols.

He turned around and went into the op's tent. He was in charge of a hodge-podge of men from C and M squadrens. He had two Troops from C squadren totalling 22 men, plus another 15 who had been drafted in from M. The rest of C were either with the fleet, or off in Afghanistan. There was a bit of friendly rivalry between the squadran. M had just beat C at a game of footy- much to the dismay of C. Needless to say a few dirty tricks were played...

He opened up the map. Captain Cooper had just reported to him the details of his recon mission. A bit of suspicious activity towards the coast and the movement of some possible fighters towards the north. That was it. Hopefully intel were having better luck with their drones.

Kurten and Wiiper were here

Stewart walked towards his men in an upright manner, Visibly angry. “Now, Roswell, Harper and Smith. My well-trained Platoon leaders, have completely and utterly failed the training last night. We, out of all the companies out here should be one of the best. Since you have not met my expectations, I will happily volunteer you all to do guard and lateen duties. By the way, There’s a run later today.

Going back to my tent I started creating on a piece of paper what training scenarios I could run my troops in. Ambush, Roadside bomb, house to house fighting, and stuff like that. I had lost 6 men because of these attacks, one of them my former Platoon leader. I tried to lay down for a nap but it was just to hot. I walked out of the tent toward the main HQ and asked a guard if I could step in. when I stepped in I did something I rarely did, Salute. “Sir, I would like to volunteer my company for latrine and guard duty for whenever possible”

Major Rotsdam laughed out loud when he heard Major Stewart volunteer his company for latrine and guard duty whenever possible. In all his extensive military career, he had never heard that come from a company commander. From a sergeant in charge of a squad, sure. But from a major, never.

After Major Rotsdam stopped laughing, he straightened up and said,

"Well Major Steward, I have never heard that come from a company commander before. Congradulaitons, you just won first place in the catagory of 'My soldiers hate me the most'."

"But, now down to buisness." said Rotsdam. He turned and faced towards the company commander, Lt Colonel John Simpson.

"Sir, I do hope you have got my report on the increased level of AA weaponry in Somalia. Just three days ago, a NH90 of the Danish Military got shot down by what we suspect of intense RPG fire from the ground not 30 miles from Mogedishu. If those skinnies can swat my choppers from out under them, we'll just have a repeat of 'Black Hawk Down', sir."

Maj.Tanner Hudson
United States Army, assigned to UN task force
75th Ranger Regiment
Charlie Company
Camp Omaha,Somalia
11:33 hours

------------------------------------------------------------------

Coming out of the landing C-17 Globemaster aircraft on Camp Omaha was Major Tanner Hudson,Commander of 4 platoons in a company, assigned from the US Army 75th Ranger Regiment to the UN force, was sent to Camp Omaha,Somalia,in a time of chaos.Camp Omaha,at the time of his arrival, seemed familiar to an AFB where multiple Littlebrids and Black Hawks would take off and resupply. They would transport both Rangers and Deltas in the wolf's mouth. Some would come back,in one piece or in all pieces. But some would never come back.

He saw a deserted building just 250m from his LZ.He and his men went to check it out,as it was at the far end of the runway, and few would notice it.Perfect place for any smartass fighter to pay a visit.

He opened the door with ease.Entered the rooms with ease. That was, until he checked the living quarters.
That is when he began remebering things he thought his brain would forget.

He found many beds and furniture messed up,but one was still in order. One that had the name:"Sergeant Tanner Hudson"
That travelled his mind years back.

He checked the kitchen. He opened the switch for the lights, and was surprised that there still was electricity. He saw bees and spoiled food that stank everywhere.

He began searching the top floors. Not many things to remeber, and he thought that this house belonged to the Deltas.
That, until he entered the CO room.

The room itself caused sheer horror. It still has the US Army 75th Ranger Regiment inisgnia on the wall.It still has books and forgotten documents. It still has an unused Colt M1911 45. handgun. And it still had the desk.

The desk.He sat on a char behind it.But when he did,he felt sleepy and took a nap.He had a flashback.A flashback that travels his mind back to the Black Hawk Down incident and the failed attacks of US Rangers, during the US inetrvention in Somalia from 1993 to 1995.He was in Somalia before, but forgot what happened to his men and CO.He remebers however, that they died, and a friend of his died. The man, with whom Tanner had as a good friend of his,was the KIA Delta Force member and Medal of Honor Recipitant Randy Shugart. He cried for his friend.Still crying and his tears simply cleaned some of the dust.

The question was how his men in his squad were killed, and how did the CO who harassed him die. Now,his past shall unfold in his eyes.

The chair and desk were the starting point. He sat in the same desk before.Camp Omaha had history.A long history.Back then he was a sergeant.A man leading 4 other guys in conmbat. This was the desk where he had hard talks with his Major. This time, the major is Tanner, not an old man.The 44 old man has been substituted by the 35 year old Tanner.

The office he sat on was dirty.Filthy.Filthy not only on the outside, but on the inside. In the soul of Tanner,it was a reminder of hell. And hell was coming back.Sleeping next to the ashes, his men were exploring the house and its surrounding hangars,to prevent any terrorist from enetring the house.

And by that,he began his flashback....

Flashback #1:Bureaucratic SOBs

Captain Noah Rakken
3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division
Camp Omaha, Somalia

"FUCK MAN, WATCH FOR THE CREWMEN!"

Rakken turned his head to look at the commotion, his platoons Strykers were driving off the ramp of a transport plane. With the sun glare and all, the drivers had almost ran over one of the crewman that had been operating the ramp. Running over, Rakken said "Sorry about that corporal, we just got here from 'laxing at home, not used to sandboxes."

"Just don't kill me next time"

"Will do- er I mean, won't"

Rakken cracked a smile at the driver who had been in the Stryker and gave him a playful punch

"Our camp is somewhere around here" Rakken said looking at the open lots around him, "Ah, here it is! Start getting yourself settled, and NO harrasing the flight crewmen."
