Admiral Philippe de Chabot
Commander of Battle Fleet Antarctica
onboard the Charles de Gaulle

de Chabot lowered his head and sighed.
"This is the Charles de Gaulle to Fleet. Bismarck and Ambush will detach themselves from our current position to support a special mission. Queen Elizabeth will que back and join the fleet behind the Albion. I want wide dispersion. de Chabot out"

They were sitting ducks. Sure they had 2 strike carriers but de Chabot had lost his manouvering options. He had to stay within range of the returning choppers from argentina and then also be in range to support the support forces heading for san carlos. That gave him a small corridor to perform evasive manouvers. He had to set up his defences properly.

The Audacious was ordered to act as a screener between the mainland and the fleet, ready to warn of movement from above. Meanwhile de Chabot ordered the Absalon to the center of the formation as one of the weaker ships.

The Admiral then informed Asher that he was going to meet him in person and that better be now.
de Chabot had no interest in loosing his ships, and definetly not because they were supporting some few blunt headed grunts from the army. He wanted to know when the main invasion would take place, so he could start getting reports to where would be the best strike area around the falklands.

Sgt. Ryan Kidd
Rookery Point - San Carlos
-------------------------------------------

"What we do with the boat?" Jack asked dragging the small rubber craft on land

"errrr put it over.." Kidd looked around for a good place to store it "Just fucking stab it mate "

Jack stabbed the boat and it let out low wheezing sound like it'd just had its lung punctured, Ben dismantled the 125cc Honda engine and hid it in a small gap in the rocks

"Ok we good to go? Ocean this is Razor 3, Message Over" Kidd began walking up the beach slowly

"Razor 3, This is Ocean go ahead Over" The headset crackled

"We have arrived at point alpha moving to the observation point now Over" Kidd replied signalling for his team to return to him.

"Roger that maintain silence until OB, Ocean Out." Kidd had a quick look at his map and compass and the team headed towards the recce point.

A cold wind wiped up around the men’s ears as they slowly moved up the hill, The NV sights blocked all peripheral vision so the soldiers walked in a delta formation for moving your head side to side with NV's on blurs the image. A 30 minute walk and they made it to the OB.

"Ocean this is Razor 3, Message Over...."

General Asher
Prince of Wales
Awaiting an Angry Frenchman

-------------------------------------------------------------

"Well it appears our sense of un-originality has deceived the Argentines, and their about as worried about us landing at San Carlos as we are about them nuking our fleet. Oh well, at least my evening's going to be a peaceful one," Asher sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"Hate to ruin your evening sir, but Admiral de Chabot wishes to see you," said his aide, causing Asher to lean back so far he fell of his chair. He bolted up, straightening his uniform, trying not to blush at the glances of the Ops Room staff.

"Well when does he want to meet?"

The aide glanced at his watch.

"He should be landing on the flight deck now," he muttered.

"NOW! Oh for christs sake, why did no one warn me and why is it so urgent?"

"His staff just radioed in from his ship saying he would be arriving shortly. As for the nature of the meeting, I don't have the foggiest clue," the Aide said perplexedly.

"Well nothing for it, have him sent here and lets get this over with. I was hoping to get a good night's sleep tonight, but never mind, I suppose it was I that chose him," Asher admitted despairingly.

"Why did you do that sir?"

"Well at the moment I'm struggling to remember Charles, send him in anyway."

"Very good sir."

Asher began pacing about the room, giving himself something to do while he waited for the impertinent Frenchman to arrive. What did he want to talk about after all? The Navy hadn't been needed yet and their had been no casualties, so it wasn't that he felt they were being misused. Maybe he felt that they weren't being used enough. He didn't have much more time to consider as the Admiral walked through the door, snapped to a halt and saluted.

"General Asher, thankyou for agreeing to see me," he said curtly.

You cunning bastard, like you gave me a choice...

"The same to you Admiral. I am sorry this is the first time we have been able to have a proper chat since we set sail," Asher remarked.

"Well I didn't come here to have a chat. I came to speak about strategy," de Chabot replied without emotion.

"Well... errr no I imagine you didn't," Asher said. "Well let's crack on, I'm afraid I'm very short on time."

"Busy schedule General?"

"No but I want to get some sleep you see," Asher said in a falsely serious tone.

The Admiral simply raised an eyebrow clearly not impressed.

"A small joke Admiral. It's one of the few things a man keeps when he's at war; his sense of humor. Please continue," he assured the Frenchman.

"Yes. I am not happy with the amount of information I am receiving. To the point. If you do not tell me what is happening and when, then I cannot manouver my fleet accordingly. Thus by limiting this strategic information, you limit my ability to protect your men who are guests on this ship. If you do not supply me with times for landings and locations, how can i prepare for every eventuality?"

"Well Admiral, you understand that I can't tell you what we do until we decided on what we are going to do. I cannot tell you when we will land and at which locations, because it has not been decided. As soon as a plan is decided then you shall be informed," Asher tried to reason.

de Chabot was not impressed.

"Excuses General, but it is what I expect of the army. Typical lack of co-operation," he sniped.

"Now you listen to me Admiral, If-"

Before he could continue a radar officer shouted the words which silenced the room.

"Contact. Incoming Bogeys."

At that moment, the General's and Admiral's eyes locked.

Tactical officer and resident idiot. Little FTW!

Major Vaughn, 22nd SAS (Infiltration team.)
Argentinia
Cursing his luck

Winters crawled back into position next to Vaughn with a sense of urgency.

"well?" asked Vaughn.

"I don't know sir. 5 major threats. 3 BMP's near the main gate and 2 T-80's in the courtyard. The rest are in storage." sighed Winters.

"Any sign of the exosets?" asked Vaughn.

Winters shook his head sadly. Intelligence said that it was in the building to the far right of the compound.

"Alright. Let's go." whispered Vaughn.

The soldiers slowly crawled down the hill. But then the world lit up as multiple flares lit the night sky.

"Shit. Alpha! Charge!" screamed Vaughn.

The Spec ops charged down the hill firing as they went.
Vaughn dived into the building with the exosets, shortly followed by his team. The fighting outside slackened as the snipers took out key targets.

"Where the hell are the exosets?" whispered Blenner.

Vaughn walked over to a desk with a light switched on. It had a note on it.

Dear to whoever reads this
I'm afraid to say that all of this was a trick and that you came all this way for nothing. The exosets are in the Falklands. Before you die. I'd just like to say it was a pleasure tricking you. Goodbye my friends. See you in hell.

"shit." breathed Vaughn.

Winters was outside sniping when the building exploded. It went sky high. Lighting up the night sky like a beacon. Winters stood rooted to the spot. He then heard something over the radio.

+Get the hell out of here. *cough* This is MAjor Vaughn to all units. We've been betrayed. *cough* Get out of he.....+

"Fall back. Fall back!" Yelled Winters. "Get to the extraction chopper."

He looked around.

"you there. Get me a line with Commander Asher! ASAP!"

2 Para
Lieutenant Colonel O'Sullivan
On board the Castille
0500 hours

O'Sullivan woke with a start. It took him a few groggy seconds to realize where he was and what was going on. He looked around, red lights were flashing, sirens were blaring and men were running through the narrow walkways shouting.

"Bloody hell!!" said O'Sullivan aloud as he shot up and hurriedly put some clothes on.

Lt.Aldrin ran into the room. "Sir, we have incoming Argie's!!"

"You don't think I bloody know that?!" shouted O'Sullivan in reply.

He heard cries from the Spanish sailors outside, one of them stuck his head through the door and started shouting at him in Spanish before running off. O'Sullivan tried to think straight. They were sitting ducks here. What was normal procedure in these situations?

"Right, thats it! Get everyone up to their battle-stations where we can try and do what we can to fend off these Argies. At the very least we won't be trapped down here if this think sinks!"

Boats. He bloody hated boats. He didn't join the Para's so he could hang around on these floating death traps. He set off down the cramped corridor before running back to his room to grab his maroon beret. He would be damned if he forgot that. He set off again, nearly got trampled by a heard of Spanish sailors running in his direction. It was going to be a long day he thought to himself.

Capitain Luis Pascale
42nd Rafale Squadron
Ready to take off from the Charles De Gaulle Carrier
05:15 hours

Captain Luis Pascale on board the Charles De Gaulle was running straight for his Rafale on the flight deck.It wasnt any drill;it was the real thing he had been training for.

But it wouldnt be easy-the Argies had their hands on high tech Russian aircraft and the fact that the fleet was attacked by Argentines meant that he had no other choice but defend the skies.

Seconds later, upon he and his squadrons' eabrkings of their Rafales,a Hawkeye AWACS took off.

The Rafs took off.It was onl4 4 ralafes on the air, along with 4 F-35's flying CAP above South Georgia. The JSF's were on the way and 12 more Rafales were about to take off.

It was a dark evening and all were caught off guard.Radar conats are 32:
1 flight of SU-30's: 4 planes
1 squadron of Pucara: 16 planes
2 flights of Mig-29's: 8 planes
1 flight of Mirage's: 4 planes

It has then been ordered by Air Marshal Hammond that all planes to talke off immidiately.

Sgt. Ryan Kidd
San Carlos
----------------------------

RECCE DAY 2

"Ocean this is Razor 3 respond"

"Razor 3 this is Ocean, wait one" a short pause as through the radio Kidd could hear shouting he wasnt sure what was being said "Razor 3 stay low and in country we have a situation on ship. Contact at 23:00. Ocean Out"

The radio died out and Ryan shimmied up the soaking wet hill to the team.

"Lads we have a problem, Ocean cut contact they seem to be in a bit of a pickle according to the radio call we have to stay under the radar cause there is no chance of pickup." Ryan picked up the L115A1 and had a quick look at the argie positions "Oh we have movement 3 trucks 10 oclock.."

"I see 'em." Jack wispered looking through his bino's

The trucks stopped short of the beach and troops hopped out to pull somthing off the back of each of them.

"Looks like a D-30, Thats not gonna be fun when the landing craft try pull up" Ryan said pulling his eyes up from the scope and rubbed his eyes.

The rain had been hammering away for a good 3 hours and Ryan was getting a little fed up of it, Hopefully the ships would be alright he didnt fancy having to try find his way out of this damb island and not inside a body bag.

Lieutenant Henderson
Charlie Company .45 Commando
Stromness, South Georgia

Patrick Henderson was bored. Bored of spending his stays either patrolling the town or sleeping in the huts, at the arse-end of the world. Bored of being cold and numb from walking round in what could only be described as the arctic tundra-esque terrain of South Georgia. Bored of not having any enemy soldiers to shoot at. The only time he'd fired his rifle since the attack had been when a wolf had got too close to the town and he decided to shoot it, more out of boredom than fear. Then 4 Rifles had arrived earlier that evening and he'd been hoping that he would be able to go back to the Tonnerre with the main fleet, ready for the invasion.

Then the radios had come alive with urgent contact reports from sentry aircraft circling above the fleet. It seemed like there was some kind of air raid approaching the fleet and because of it the Bismarck and HMS Ambush had to be withdrawn back to the main fleet, leaving the transport ship with no escort. No escort meant it wasn't going to be leaving the harbor at South Georgia, any time soon and that meant .45 Commando were stuck on this rotten island. Henderson had the same thought continuously running through his mind:

Trust the Navy and Flyboys to fuck it up...
