*UAE invasion fleet attacks Madagascar.*

*Troops pour onto the island.*

*In response to being asked why the UAE was attacking Madagascar the answer was simple. "Nice beaches."*

Operation Pheonix is launched

Spanish Marines attack Corsica, backed up by one of Spain two carrier fleets.

1-3= Success. A secure beachhead is made and Ajaccio (along with much of the surrounding area) is captured
4-5= Semi-Success. Secure beachhead created and half of Ajaccio taken. Heavy casualties for both sides
6-7= Semi-Failure. Beachhead secured although casualties are heavy
8-10= After the first wave is almost completely killed or captured, the attack is called off

Finn has asked me to play as France for his war with them, I'll post all stuff i do with France in Blue

*The French Army launches a series of counterattacks into Northern Spain*

*The 9th Light Armoured Marine Brigade, supported by elements from the 6th Light Armoured Division land on the beaches of San Sebastian, hoping to secure the strategically important city*
Posted Image

*The 2nd Armoured Brigade makes a push towards Pamplona, hoping to smash the defences with brute strength.*
Posted Image

*The 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2 REP), which makes up most of the defence of Corsica along with support elements, attempts to drive off the last of the stragglers from the island*
Posted Image

1-3= Success. San Sebastian is captured and Corsica is free of any enemy troops. The 2nd Armoured Brigade, reach the outskirts of Pampalona with a stable foothold. Minimal Casualties.
4-5= Semi-Success. Most of San Sebastian is under French control, although the southern sector is still fiercely defended by enemy troops. Corsica is free of enemy troops, however the defences have been badly damaged, leaving the possibility of a second invasion open. The 2nd Armoured Brigade, reaches the outskirts of Pampalona, but their are many enemy forces on their Eastern flank. Moderate Casualties.
6-7= Semi-Failure. A beachead is secured at San Sebastian, but no real progress is made in the city. There are still pockets of resistance on Corsica and the defences are badly damaged, due to enemy sabotage. The 2nd Armoured Brigade are stopped around 5 miles from Pampalona, and are open to a counter-attack from Spanish forces. High Casualties.
8-10= Complete Failure. The landing at San sebastian fails, ending in a massacre, with the French landing fleet retreating from the coast, leaving the remaining troops on the beach alone. The remaining Spanish troops on Corsica do not give up and assisted by enemy bombers, they destroy the defences, and reduce the fighting strength of 2 REP. The 2nd Armoured Brigade's offensive grinds to a halt only a few miles into Spain, with enemy forces being much stronger than suspected, they are stuck in a stalemate. Extreme casualties with the 2nd Armoured Brigade suffering 25% casualties.

Following the disastrous French offensive, Spanish forces are prepared to launch a viscous counter-attack against the thinned French lines.

The other waves of Marines are put ashore in Corsica to assist the stranded marines who, although only a handful of them, have valiantly continued to fight on

Meanwhile, the Spanish Legion closes in on the French Marines at San Sebastian who are under constant air and artillery bombardment.

Spanish Airborne forces lead the counter-attack towards Toulouse, hoping to cut off any French forces in Spain. Spanish armoured divisions are ready to follow up the assault

1-3= Success. Stranded French Marines surrender without much more resistance, after being faced with deadly artillery and air fire. French forces near Pampalona are nearly cut off, with very few routes through the Pyrenees free for supplies to move through. Several miles are also gained towards Toulouse. Beachhead on Corsica is secured allowing supplies and reinforcements to move on shore.

4-5= Semi-Success. Stranded marines surrender, although not before a fierce fight. French forces in Spain are nearly cut off, but not that much land is gained in France itself. Marines in Corsica continue to push ashore allowing supplies to come through

6-7= Semi-Failure. Stranded marines continue to fight valiantly, although it doesn't look too good for them. French forces in Spain manage to keep a supply route
open, although supplies are still running low. Heavy casualties as Spain tries to move into France. Little ground gained on Corsica

8-10= Failure. Stranded Marines manage to make a safe evacuation, ready to fight another day. French forces in Spain fend off the counter-attacks and set up defensive positions to prepare for further attacks. Marines on Corsica are evacuated following heavy casualties.
