A World Without Rules The year is 2020. The world is a dangerous place. Superpowers are forming and war is looming. Alliances are made and friendships are broken. Nations who were once friends soon become fierce enemies. Much of Arabia and Iran is nuclear waste land and it will take decades to recover, oil supplies are dwindling. The North Atlantic has already broken down into what promises to be a long and bloody conflict. War in the Pacific is growing ever closer and even the once abandoned Africa looks like it could soon become a force to be reckoned with- threatening to turn into World War 3. This is Domination with a difference. The aim of this game is not to conquer the most land but to win the war. Some factions start off at war, others start off allied. Many factions already have several territories under their command. Factions: (Please only pick a faction if you know you will be quite active) USA (Orange)- Explosive W00kie Russia (Red)- The_Grim_Wiiper (GM) 1 strike European Federation (Blue)- Neilyboy92/TemplarCommander New Commonwealth (Green)- PathfinderGold (GM) China (Yellow)- DNA Pasific Union (Purple)- abacap India (Brown)- Andcus United African Republic (Grey)- Finn 1939 (GM) South American Coalition (Light Blue)- CiphertheCommandant Israel (Light Green)- Egypt (Turquoise)- MEA (Tan)- LIGHT GRAY=RADIOACTIVE/UNINHABITABLE AREAS Faction Descriptions: USA- At war with the EF and Russia, the US starts off with many powerful enemies. Not only this, war is looming for their allies- the Pacific Union and Israel. This may well drag the US into a Pacific conflict as well... Russia- Trying to regain the former glory of the USSR, the now democratic Russia has once again expanded. But this has made them enemies; they are now at war with both the US and the EF. However, they do have powerful friends. Russia, Egypt and China have strong relations; they could be a useful asset in the war..... EF- The EF formed a few years ago as a separate super power to rival Russia and the US. But now they face a war on two fronts in a battle to survive. They have a small amount of oil from the North Sea, but rely on much of their oil from Russia, to their disadvantage. They’re allies, the MEA, face war from the South from Russian-allied Egypt and US-allied Israel. Will they emerge as top dog.... NC- The NC spreads from all the corners of the earth and have so far remained neutral in the war of the Atlantic. It will be hard to remain this way and they may find themselves being dragged into it. Not only this, the growing powers of India and China may prove a threat in Asia. They will have to pick their friends carefully..... China- China has grown to super power status and may now face war in Asia. They have formed a Union with the Communist states of North Korea who hope to one day reunite Korea and Vietnam which may prove a good staging point for expansion into the South East. On top of this they have the support of Russia. However, they have a few things going against them. First, the US has formed an alliance with their Pacific neighbors and expansion this way may make this a World War. Plus, India is the rising super power of Asia who may want to topple China's position as leading power in this region. They are already at war with Pakistan and may be looking to expand...... India- The new superpower on the block. India has competition in the form of China, and has just finished a bloody war with Pakistan and Bangladesh. If India is hoping to become top dog it will have to sort out its internal problems in its newly conquered regions of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal and knock China out of its position of leading power in the region….. Pacific Union- The states of Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea joined together under a defense pact to counter the rising threat of Chinese expansion. A war with China will be bloody, but inevitable. However, they do have the support of their US allies and with the sale of the 5 old US Nimitz-class class carriers to them, the PU has one of the most highly advanced navies in the world…. South American Coalition- Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela joined together after seeing the rising power blocks in the rest of the world. Although they may be isolated, they have control of the key oil supply of Venezuela and a large military to go with it. They may wish to expand their membership and they may find themselves dragged into the problems outside of South America. Then again they could choose to remain isolated and thrive..... United African Republic- South Africa has shown itself to be the dominant African power. They also realized that for Africa to have a place on the world stage they will need to unite and sort out the internal problems of Africa. Some have joined willingly- some, such as Zimbabwe, may not be so quick to join. For Africa to become powerful they need to unite the African states, sort out the poverty, disease and civil wars, put down the communist guerrillas and other non-African influences and then they can choose to become involved with the rest of the world, or remain isolated in their united Africa. That is unless they are dragged into it prematurely…. Israel- Much of the Arabian Peninsula, Iran and some areas of surrounding territory are nuclear wasteland. The US backed Israel recently recovered from a war with EF backed Syria, Jordan and Lebanon over the Golan Heights. This greatly raised tensions in the Middle East and the war ended with the Syrian use of biological weaponry on the Israel counter attacking forces. Israel responded with massive air bombardments throughout Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, bringing the war to a bloody ceasefire with Israel occupying Lebanon and reoccupying the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Afterwards, Egypt sought protection from Russia, and soon after, war between the EF, Russia and US brought tensions in the area to breaking point. Another bloody war for Israel seems inevitable...... Egypt- Egypt has lived in peace with Israel for nearly 50 years. But recent actions by Israel in Syria and Lebanon led to Egypt seeking the protection of Russia, they’re old friends. With Russia now at war with the US (Who backs Israel), the MEA is making threats on both Israel and Egypt and the Middle East is on the brink of war. Not only this, the African Federation far to the south have promised to reunite Africa and turn it into a world power. Although the threat seems far of, it may need to be dealt with before it can grow too powerful. Whichever way Egypt chooses to turn, it seems they will be faced with war...... Middle East Alliance- After the unsuccessful war on Israel, Jordan and Syria joined together to create the Middle East Alliance. After the war, they sought protection and weaponry from the EF, who gladly gave the MEA training and weapons. Jordan and Syria have loudly proclaimed that Israel is an illegal state and they will destroy it. But with an unfriendly Egypt to the south, who knows what might happen if war breaks out once again in the Middle East…. Leaders: USA- President David Becerra Russia- President Vselovod Kapalkin EF- Nathalie Perreau NC- John Greaves China- Yao Shuin India- Anil Prashanth South American Coalition- Ricardo Falves United African Republic- Christian Mauluda Pacific Coalition- Manchuin Muan Egypt- Abdul Azim Israel- Yossi Beilin Middle East Alliance- Qasid Rifa’ah Combat: Combat is fought in much the same way as domination with dice rolls deciding the outcome of battles. If your faction has an advantage against another faction, you can show this in giving yourself a bigger possibility of winning the dice roll (Any abuse of this and that roll will be canceled) Amphibious Assault: If separated by a sea or ocean, can’t bring heavy armor to start with and only aircraft off an aircraft carrier or a nearby territory, however if you are connected by land then the usual units can be used. Faction Capital Country- This applies if you are attacking the country with the faction's capital in. So if you are Russia attacking France, then the dice rolls will be vastly against you, so that if it was to take control of the Capital Paris, then you would only have a 1 in 6 chance of being successful and any other results will mean some degree of casualties, including very heavy. Defending: Please do not just keep countering everything that someone who is invading you does. If someone has captured your capital, don't keep rolling to see if you can retake it again and again. As a base rule, 3 counterattacks against the same thing may be done, after that it would see you cannot retake it at the time. No Nuclear, Chemical or Biological Weapons (There may be a few exceptions just to spice things up- but you have to contact me or one of the mods and see if we deem it OK) Trade: -Can trade blueprints of weapons -Can buy certain number of vehicles. Eg 300 Tanks -If non aggression pacts or alliances are made, details have to be made public. But nothing unreasonable. Most nations are already allied with a superpower. Research: -Can adjust weapons with better sights, barrels etc… -Can only have planes and vehicles that are either in the pipeline or are current, but can upgrade as above. -Can’t come up with new weapons, vehicles etc. The game will start when the faction slots are filled and me or one of the mods gives the green light. Thanks goes to Finn and Path for the creation of this game. MAP:

New Commonwealth. I don't mind as when he first copied it he mentioned our names so I'm happy for him to use it now. And Wiiper I know I used to be your other GM for the EWDW games so I'll quite happily continue doing that once more. Also I can help out because I created the game so I could discuss with you some features that we never implemented on the first game. If you want. |
