Richardson and 3 Para had returned to the base a few miles south of Kaesong. It had been 4 days of hard-fighting on the Western flank of the JTF 2 Western flank. Richardson had been right to expect that 3 Para would end up on the shit end of the stick. However, Ich'on had been taken, and the Imjin river crossings were in UN hands. 3 Para had spent 3 days shivering in the cold and trying to hold onto 2 such crossing while the rest of the force attacks Ich'on and defended the crossing further North.

So here they were, bloody exhausted and looking forward to some rest. In the advance, 3 Para had lost another 21 men, 7 of whom had died. However, 33 soldiers had come up to replace 3 Paras casualties. Most were replacements, however 12 were some of the less badly injured Paras from previous exploits. That left 3 Para with 640 men.

Richardson heard that the Jaegers had left on some Operation near Seoul. He hoped they would be OK, he was fairly sure they would. They could look after themselves, and they had the SAS along for the ride. He also heard that JTF were finally on the advance. So far, they had fallen behind the other Task Force's who had advanced a bit more rapidly Northwards. JTF 3 had advanced as far as Kosan and were preparing to take Wosan, while JTF 2 had secured as far as the Imjin river. However, now the S.Koreans had finally arrived in Kaesong to take on occupation duties, JTF 3 could go back on the advance. It looked like 3 Para would be sitting out this one though, they had had a rough week.

"You know what Captain... I'm bloody tired of these commanders just being difficult for the sake of it," Asher sighed, scratching his neck. He was in the Ops Room, waiting for a casualty report from JTF 2 after their recent assault on one of the main enemy Army Bases in the area, rumor was they had taken quite a battering and were not going to be advancing much further in a hurry. This meant that the Supreme Commander was getting impatient for progress from JTF 1; even though he knew that the West Coast was the hardest spot in the whole country to make progress in. Then again Asher couldn't blame Cartwright, they were falling behind the other task forces and Asher was becoming impatient as well.

"Sir, what do you think we should do about it? Plan the assault yourself?"

"No Pratchard, I've got a better idea. The Para's are well rested after their mission with the other Task Force and Colonel Richardson has never let me down so far... Get a message to him... Tell him he will be the one who plans the assault on Maesan and he is to find a way to implement all the Task Force's firepower... Tell him I need something to impress the Supreme Commander... He won't let me down, I'm sure of it."

"Gentlemen. We've got Colonel Ruchardson planning the attack." said the Colonel.
The men started for a moment before erupting into argument. A infnatry commander in charge of a plan that involved tanks? That was unheard of (well for the lowly crewmen it was).
"Stamford send him our plan if you please. ( about 3 posts back)" oredered the Colonel. With that he left the room.

The An-2's flew low and approached Hyesan rapidly.
Jensen saw the lights from the city approaching slowly. It was amazing hos silent this aircraft was.
A man coughing could clearly be heard over the engine. It was the perfect stealth aircraft.
Jensen stood up and signalled for his men to do the same. Only a short matter of time before they were gonna jump.
But they were now also in range of Hyesans AA defences.

1-7: The An-2's arent discovered
8-10: The An-2 are spotted by the enemy radar as they are about to drop the Jægers

Jensen was the last to drop out of the aircraft.
He lost sight with the aircraft shortly after they had exited and they were now gone.
Total silence. The 60 Jægers dropped towards the ground.

Jensen landed soft.
"Nimrod-6 down and on the Move. All units report on DZ Tango"
It didnt take long until the men were gathered around the Major.
Words were exchanged along with pats on the back.
Okse took the H6 meanwhile Jensen took the C4.
"ok guys. Remember that we regroup before we hike to Russia. But if you think you are being followed or cant make it to the rally point, then just walk straight to Russia. You got your money an passports, if you arrive before D-day + 3 you will wait. But after +5 you just leave as soon as you arrive in the city. Good luck, and get home safe"

Then the Jægers split up into their 3 groups. Nielsø and Jensen heading to their respective parts of Hyesan, and Okse heading towards the dam.

Colonel Richardson was feeling the pressure. He had been put in charge of an entire operation. He had had plenty of experience from Afghanistan and Iraq, but the other commanders didn't trust him.

He sighed and looked back at his plans.

First, the Pathfinders would drop in and survey the base. They will then direct in precision guided missile attacks onto key targets.

The 7th Armoured and the Canadians would spearhead the attack from the East. The 7th Armoured would directly engage the enemy armoured column while the Canadians would take and hold the compounds to the south which would act as a forward HQ.

The Canadians would then spearhead the attack into town while the 7th Armoured circle the town Northwards and engage the second enemy armoured column.

While all this was happening, 3 Para will advance from the South West and ease the pressure off the main attack. After the town was secure, 3 Para will spearhead the attack on the main compound in North West, covered by the 7th Armoured.
Meanwhile, with the Anti-Air emplacements cleared across the rest of the town, reinforcements or medevacs could arrive in the South West in the Field HQ.

He finished reading over the plans, then sent them off to Field Marshall Asher.

"Sooooo. Did any of you get that plan?" asked the colonel.
"I got the whole engaging enemy column bit. But the rest? no." replied Thomason
"Ah well. Tell Little to prep the tanks for the coming battle. Make sure he loads them up with AP rounds instead of HE rounds this time please. And can someone get on to the horn to command. I need to know what we're acting as here." yelled Reynolds.
"Do you trust the colonel sir?" asked C squadrons leader.
"He's British. I'd trust him with my country. I just hope he dosn't crack under pressure." replied the Colonel.

"So, what are your orders sir, for the battle plan?" Hayes asked.

"Tell Asher that we can't do much with those AA emplacements. But we can supply close air support with airstrikes and medevac if needed. But tell him to make the AA guns a higher priority"

"Sir, the attack has begun. The Pathfinders have begun to put in the co-ordinates for the missile attacks" Hayes said to Anderson.

Anderson sighed, "Here we go"

"2 meters spread, Mark and Tobias. Take them out"

The 5 KPA soldiers didnt know what hit them before they dropped dead by the 9mm rounds from the silenced pistols.
Jensen and the other 17 Jægers jumped over their corpses and found them in position on top of the hill.
"Set up position. I want everybody ready to defend this position in 5 minutes"
-------

Nielsø and his men had now reached the river. They waited for a while, trying to predict the patrol's movement. And then they would swim across. Any chinese reinforcements would be supressed from their position. Giving the Major enough time to destroy the bridge and AA.
"Set..... GO!"
The Jægers hurried into the water and then moved silently to the other shore.
They had trained in the Swimming pools on Holmen for this. The Frogmen had laughed at the Jægers as they moved through the water. Well, you couldnt reach their level. Neilsø and the Jægers had had their payback once the Frogmen had practised Fast roping from helicopters.

The Men reached the shore and the moved north. They passed 2 patrols before they reached the road.
Then they started setting up ambush positions.
--------

The KPA soldier stumbled over the railing, and then dropped all the way into the water.
Okse lowered his pistol and the signaled for the men to set up defensive positions.
They brought out the H-6 and Okse led 6 men into the inside of the Dam.

1-3: There are only few people inside, most have gone home.
4-8: The area is busy with civilian workers, a few guards are also around.
9-10: An officer is being showed around the dam, he is accompanied by a large guarding detail.
