Richardson saluted and waited for his chopper back to base. He would have taken the Field Marshall's, but things were very tense among all the commanders. He knew that Asher would say no, he knew that even if the mission was accepted, that it would most likely be a one way ticket, and he knew if he was in Asher's position, he probably would have said the same thing. But he couldn't help having a small niggling feeling in the back of his head, that the proposed mission may have succeeded, and may have changed the direction of this war dramatically. He got back to base and entered his room. He looked in the mirror- his handlebar mustache was becoming more and more gray by the day. He still had the AAR to worry about, but he figured that could wait until morning. Right now he needed some rest. Edited by Finn 1939, Apr 11 2009, 08:23 PM.

As Field Marhsal Asher returned to his helicopter, and the other commanders slowly turned and fled the town centre, Drako stood there motionless. Theres a saying in the Qur'an, "If you save one man, it is as if you saved all of humanity itself, but if you kill one innocent man, it is as if you killed all of humanity itself". That qoute haunted Drako every day and every night, and the one time he had a chance to fulfill the better of it he screws up. Drako turned around when all the other commanders could only be seen in the far distance, and slowly returned to his vehicle. He needed some rest, something to keep him going. Its never to face your fate. |

I was once a Pretorian, I was once a writer, I was once child, I was once a fighter. Im overjoyed to see all of you still keeping the Pretorian dream alive despite all the hardships that have come upon this community. I may not be a Pretorian anymore, but I dont think the Pretorians even exist anymore. What does exist is an outstanding group of individuals who continue to uphold the values that forged the Pretorian Division. Good to see you guys. | |

The M/62's were on a long line alongside the other weapons, equipment and ammo. There was enough to keep up a continuing firefight for up to a day. Jensen sent the briefing back to Royal Army command and settled in for the night. His unit was combat-ready. Once the KPA arrived with the chinese equipment, they would all have a run for their money. Risks would have to be taken, and if not Hyesan, then at some other point. Army command had decided to keep Jægers home at stand-by to internal affairs or other problems around the world. The unit in korea would be increased to a number of 60. With another EH-101 to join them too. The Jægers would change camp soon. Moving in with the Para's. Jensen wanted to be closer to the field commanders than the pen pushers. |

Colonel King sat in his chair in the fortress. The other Colonels had gone stark raving mad. Attacking Hyesan was a suicide and wasteful mission, at least at the present. The Chinese wouldnt make a move unless Pyongang had fallen and considerable amounts of North Korea had collapsed to UN control. Even then the Chinese wouldnt be to quick to jump to war within Korea. No, it would be a wasteful mission in the present. Perhaps in the future it would be a mission but not now. Still, he had to assess it. He waved the mouse and his computer screen flicked on. He brought up a window and sent his LT a message. Get me maps of Hyesan and find out what you can about JTF3 attack plans. At the present it would be useless but ..... it couldnt be counted out. He recieved his reply seconds later and proceeded to have an argument over clearance for the next 13 minutes. Eventually it was let through and he would get what he wanted. Another 30 and they were on his computer. He reviewed the maps at first glance and immediately noticed something. Even if Hyesan wasnt in there district of attack, it did pass along the Yalu river. As did Sinjui, but in there district. If he could get the Field Marshal to authorize an assualt on Sinjui as a distraction to the KPA then if an attack was occuring on Pyongang at the same time ... just maybe it could be done. Now I'm the one who's stark raving mad ..... At the very least he couldnt rule it out but it wasnt his plan to order, merely to make, propose and hope for the best. He would discuss it with Jensen and some of the others but he wouldnt until he thought it would do something good for the war. Gains without means have no use. -------------- Colonel King awoke as the sun peered through the gap in his room. It might be divided, but Korea certainly was beautiful. He opened his eyes and took the mug from his desk and, standing up, walked to the kettle in the corner. Nothing like a cup of tea in the morning. He flicked the switch to heat it and put his mug beside it, upon which time he returned to his desk and brought up the map. His plan was done. Now to keep it underwraps until he could give it to the Field Marshal. Exactly as he had thought it. Marines assualt Sinjui with armoured support, Light infantry and the majority of the tank forces assualt Pyongyang with air support while the Paratroopers and Jaegencorps assualt Hyesan with the JTF3 regiments. Highly Ambitious. Overly Optimistic. Classic Victory Scenario. |

"Who dares Wins" The Field Marshal had forgotten his own favourite motto. Jensen hadnt survived all those mission in afghanistan and iraq by playing it safe. And he was sure that the field marshal hadnt become the leader he was today, by playing it safe too. Jensen imagined the battle plan in his head over and over again. How to get into Hyesan undetected, how to destroy the bridge. He looked over the map and then noticed something. It didnt seem to have any importance, yet there was one feature in it that town that could make this operation work. Jensen started noting his thoughts down. Now he knew how to take down Hyesans defences. Now he just needed a way to go to Hyesan, the weapons needed to do his job and the permission from high command. Although the latter could be bypassed. If needed that was. |

With the plan now ready, Jensen took a huge risk by putting it forward to the Field Marshal. If he were to deny, Jensen could be sent home for insurbordination. But he needed the Field Marshal to get him the stuff and schematics he needed. If this was to succed, it would be the biggest moment in Jensens life. The mouse hovered over send...... Jensen pressed the button. No going back now. Only the future would tell if The Bridge would fall |

Drako awoke in his own private qaurters, at 8am the world was illuminated by the gleeming rays of sunlight in the morning. After a nights sleep one could come to realise that last nights occurances may not have been such a failure as he had first thought. Several of the commanders had sided with Drako in the motion that Heysan must be taken out. However mosthad different plans when it came to the actaul stratagy and tactics of the assualt. Drako got off the couch and looked out the window, a brisk, bright morning. Perhaps he could manage to meet one of the commanders who had said little to nothing last night, Colonel King. If just to open lines of communication with another commander. Though most of the people here realised that Drako was a verteran of virtaully every major war in the last two decades, and that he was distinguished officer, they still didnt see his worth. Drako stared into the mirror at an aging man. He wasnt so young and eager as he was in years past. His hair was greying, wrinkles were becoming more common, his muscles were sagging and his hair was flat. Sigh, many things change over time, incluing people. Maybe there was hope for his comrades as well. Colonel Drako dressed himself and walked out the door, the camp was still asleep so activity was at a law. He continued to walk until he reached kings's HQ, also named the Kings castle for it seemed to be nothing less then a fortified fortress. He walked up to the doom and knocked. *Thump, thump, thump* |

Richardson had word that 3 Para would be sent to the East to assist the Joint Task Force 2 in a large scale advance on Ich'on and the Imjin River. (Basically I am going away until Thursday). The Colonel went to yet another Sending off ceremony for the 4 dead Paras from Operation Leveler. He had a feeling that in the coming operation with JTF 2 there may well be many more. 3 Para were supposed to be taking a backseat in the Operation, but they had always ended up in the thick of it, and he was sure this time would be no different.
