Tactical officer and resident idiot. Little FTW!

Colonel Reynolds of the 7th desert rats walked towards the awaiting CC-150 Polaris Transport Plane. He already knew that It would be Colonel Anderson in charge of the Close air support and was relived. It was thanks to anderson that B Company had made it throught the Helmand province alive after the devastating ambush that took 3 Warriors away from the company. Why the UN had picked him in paticular was a mystery. But he knew that he hadn't lost a single Challenger in all of his carear. He certainly wasn't going to break that now.

Finn 1939

Colonel Richardson was in the command room with his Company Commanders and some of the intel guys. He had just got everyone settled in as best they could- there wasn't enough beds here, but they would be shipped to base not far north of here where they could settle in.

He had been in Afghanistan 6 months previous and served 3 tours there, as well as 1 in Iraq. He was promoted from Lieutenant Colonel just before he got here. He knew it would be nothing like Afghanistan. In Afghanistan he had to worry about the so called 'civilians' blowing themselves up as he walked by, or pulling a gun on him 15 minutes later. Here, it would be more clear cut. "There is your enemy, now kill him".

He walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He had a handlebar mustache, within regulations of course. It was starting to gray- 4 tours of duty with the lives of 650 men under your command will do that to you. Now he had 700. He had been assured his role in this war would be special, and he needed the extra men.

He left the bathroom and went to get some sleep- tomorrow would be an early start and it was a long trip here.

Lukas looked around the small barracks. 30 of the 136 Jægerkorps members had been sent here, with 70 others bound to join them within the week. Even though a hundred doesnt sound like much compared to the 700 Para's there were due to arrive in a few days, but with all the Jægerkorps equipment it would take a lot of space.

The LMG's had been mounted in defensive positions around the barrack, and several fire positions were in place. They had even placed one of the 84's on the corner facing the camp entrance. With the North and South Koreans nearly at war, Jensen wouldnt take any chances. It wouldnt last long before one took the opening shots and if it werent the UN, then there would be more than enough KPA soldiers ready to scoop their rifle through Lukas eye socket.

It was this sense of Paranoia that had kept Lukas alive for the past 12 years. He had been in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Iraq. Also a bit more secretely he had been taking out Pirates in Somalia. He had around 40 confirmed kills, not the highest in the unit, but enough to make him a part of the "experienced" killers. But none of them could compare to Sergeant Nielsø. One of the most effecient snipers in Jægerkorpset, he had taken out more hostiles than anyone else in the history of the unit. For that, he had recieved a fair bit of myth and stories. One of them told that the Ministry of Defence had asked him for advice about further equipment for the Special Forces. But those were only stories. The real Sergeant Nielsø were far more interesting.

Lukas picked up his M/96 and went out to inspect the positions. This would be the first "normal" war in the history of jægerkorpset. Well, the common soldier would hardly call the jægerkorps job "normal".
