3 Para had suffered another casualty, this time from Delta bringing the total number of dead to 19. There was enemy constantly trying to flee the city- they were desperate and often fought to the bitter end. One of Delta's platoons had been sent to clear a position between the Paras and the city that some Kirk were hiding in. On top of that, another 3 of the wounded Korean prisoners had died making a total of 25. Plus they were still trying to evacuate the 60 Kirk POW's.

Robertson had reinforced Lt.Eru's platoon with the squad of Pathfinders and the Anti-Armour team from Y Company. Lt.Eru had to be evacuated becuase of his soldier- but Robertson would make sure he got his medal.

Robertson had secured himself a jeep and had driven round to all the Company's to check up on the men and make sure the defenses were up to scratch. They had been here over 2 days now- many men were short on ammo, and the Battle for Kaesong was still raging. Robertson and his men had just watched the B-52's drop their pay-loads on the city. It was certainly a spectacular sight in the fading light.

Robertson found himself worrying for the civilians in the city. So far not many had tried to escape, and the city had been on fire and rocked with explosions the whole 2 days of the Operation. But the city was nearly taken- and Richardson knew they would probably be pulled off the line within the next 2 days, replaced with the hordes of S.Korean soldiers desperate to get their own back on the north. He was right though- this war was nothing like Afghanistan.

He looked to the West and the city of Ongjin and the port city of Haeju and realized that would probably be their next target. After all, that was where the main Korea reinforcements had come from.

Jensen came back to the others.
Then he told about their mission and why Nielsø was missing.
They all took it hard but were glad to hear he was going to make it.

They were all dangerously low on ammo though, but nothing like the Para's.
All the Jægers had the deepest respect for them. They had been holding out for longer than realy neccessary.
The Rats and Marines needed to secure the town fast so supplies could come rolling in.

Okse was put in charge of the next standby team.
They were given most of the ammo.
The M/62's were almost out, so they stuck to the M/96's.

The battle of Kaesong was edging towards the end.
The last enemy resistance where in the tall buildings.
That wasnt the Jægers problem for now.
It would be once the Field Marshal called for them.

"What the hell are they doing!"shouted Stamford
"It appears High Command has decided to drop a load of munitions on this city. Shame we're right next to one of the targets!" shouted the Colonel.
"I think sir we are the target! They probably don't know we've taken the sector yet!"
"Ah shit, here comes the next wave! TAKE COVER!" shouted the Colonel

Colonel Robertson hadn't seen the Jaegers since the landing- but he knew they were at the Battle for Bridge 7- Major Turney had put in a very good word for them, the Pathfinders as well. He hoped they were alright.

He looked back at the city. He was becoming increasingly impatient with the slowness of the Operation. He was tempted to just disobey orders, and send in the Red Devils to get the job done. But he had far more sense then that. They would just have to continue holding the line until they could get supplies through and link up with the 7th Armoured.

As the dust settled the men of the 7th Battalion crawled from their holes like Rats (see the pun).
"Let's hope they don't do that again" said Stamford wearily
"What the hell?" managed the Colonel as he saw the lead bomber go down in flames.
"We better see if there are any survivors. Maybe the radio still works?"
"What about this place?"
"Let the marines hold it down.
"Shall we take the tanks sir?"
"We're out of fuel. And must of them are busted. No we go on foot. 7th Battalion forward!"

Colonel King had finished loading the last of the 83 onto the Medical Rafts when the city erupted into flames. Smoke rose from all directions and all the men stopped what they were doing and looked on at it .... they had prepared for an attack on a city ..... not a fucking ruin.

" Lietuenant Bogs ! bring that radio now ! " he yelled over the enroaching explosions. The man ran off to the tent they had set up and went to grab the Satellite Phone.

" 2nd Platoon get your asses to the front ! Your getting in there. Head to the Hospital, see if anyones alive. 7th Platoon your moving into support them ..... Get moving all of you " The men sprung forth towards the ruin as the clouds of smoke billowed from it. " Marines we move in in 10 "

The man with the phone came running back to him and he quickly dialed up all channels. "What the hell is going on here ? What the fuck just happened to the city?"
