It had been a long day. The battle for Kaesong was still raging, and Robertson had word that the marines had taken very heavy casualties landing downstream. However, things were starting to turn their way. Last night, Charlie had done an excellent job beating back the Korean reinforcements- although it cost them 13 men, 5 of whom died. However, the other 8 had been successfully medevaced and were in a stable condition. Alpha had taken 5 casualties- 3 on the plane, and 2 on the ground. 1 of them had died. He also had word that 2 from Bravo near the bridge were wounded, and that another had died, fighting off several Kirk who were retreating from the city. Several from Delta had also been wounded, but none had died. That made 8 dead, 17 wounded. However, 3 Paras casualties were comparatively light to everyone else's. He also had 29 Kirk wounded at Bravo's position. He had been trying to get them evacuated, but Sunray couldn't spare the choppers. The did have 37 wounded- but 8 had died earlier in the day. To top it all off, Bravo had spotted a large Kirk force approaching from the West. They didn't have any confirmation on numbers, or whether the Kirk had armour- but Richardson knew Bravo were in for a hard fight. The Colonel had told the Field Marshall several times that the Western Flank was too vulnerable, but they hadn't listened, and now the Paras would pay for it. The Kirk closed in: 1-4= Roughly a Battalion (600-700), complete with 5 tanks and 15 IFV's. 5-7= Around 500 men, 10 IFV's. 8-10= Over 1000 men, 8 tank, and 14 IFV's. You rolled a: 7! |

Major Turney from Bravo came onto the radio "Sir, we have a large Kirk force approaching. Aprx 500 men, as well 10 IFV's. You want us to hold here sir?" "Roger that Major, you are to hold that position at all costs- this entire Operation depends on it. If those Kirk make it to Kaesong, then our boys are in trouble" Richardson looked at his map. As well as the bridge that Bravo were defending, there was a shallow point in the river about 4.5 miles north that the Kirk could use to cross. If they crossed there, they could get flank on Bravo. He radioed Sunray: "Sunray, this is Hawk 6. We have an enemy force approaching B Company's position at the bridge. They have reported 500 infantry, as well as 10 IFV's. Sir, there is a another crossing point about 5 miles north of Bridge 7 which they could use to get a flank on us. My forces are stretched enough as it is trying to hold this parameter. Can you send some reinforcements, or do I need to spare some more of my troops? Over" Edited by Finn 1939, Apr 7 2009, 12:51 PM.

Richardson decided it was time to call in the big guns. "Lance 6, this is Hawk 6. Could we get rounds on grid squares 3,4,7,9 and 3,5,5,6? Over" |

Jensen picked up the transmission. "Hawk-6, i can give your men some time. Just stay put" "Nimrod-4, Thor. I want you to open fire on the approaching Kirks. Buy Hawk as much time as possible, but do not endanger yourselves. 6 out." ----- Nielsø aimed his MSG 90. The other guys of his unit were post along ridges. Either with M/62 machineguns, M/84 rocket launchers or an MSG 90 sniper rifle. Nielsø gave green light for the engagement. "Green light on Lima. go go go!" 1-2: The Kirks take few casulties and are able to locate some of the Jægers 3-5: The Kirks take some casulties but they cant find the jægers. They advance slowly 6-10: The attack is a succes. The North Koreans stop their advance and begin to spread out for cover as sniper and rocket fire rain down on them You rolled a: 5! |

"Roger that". Jensen was a damn good man. Richardson watched through his binoculars, and thought he could see several men go down far in the distance. And now the big guns had arrived. He brace himself. |
