About 20 Kirk go down, as well as 1 IFV.

"We could sue some help here!!" screamed Major Benson through the mike. "Get some mortars on those Kirk, and also some illumination"

The mortars from Hill 272 open up, raining down on the 60 Kirk and 3 IFV's. The flairs illuminate the Koreans. With a decent line of sight Hill 272 also opens up, and everyone rains hell of the Kirk.

1-3= The Kirk hold firm, although another IFV is immobilized
4-7= Many Kirk are killed, but they hold on- but only just
8-9= The Kirk are thrown into dissaray and retreat
10= The Kirk are completely slaughtered. Only a hand-ful escape.

The Kirk are pummeled by the heavy fire power. 2 of the IFV's are destroyed, and 1 immobilized. About 30 Kirk are taken down, leaving only 30 more and one IFV. But they hold up, and manage to return some sporadic fire.

Richardson heres through the radio that one of the 9 wounded has died, making 5 dead and 8 wounded from Bravo.

Major Benson leads a flanking attack on the remained of the group in an attempt to finish them off:

Odds= The Kirk run
Evens= They remain, determined to fight it out to the last

Major Benson personally leads a flanking attack on the Kirk who flee. 1 IFV and about 30 Kirk are counted running away- out of the original 300 Kirk, and 20 IFV's.

Benson goes over to the Kirks old position. About 40 wounded are strewn about. 1 tries to pull a pin on a grenade, but is shot. Charlie calls over the medics who aren't working on their own wounded.

"Bloody fine show" Richardson thought to himself.

But the night wasn't over yet

Colonel King watched in amazement as the Machine gunners pulled off a miracle. Their volley had destroyed the enemy and they had fled the field, leaving the beach exposed.

" Falcon 6, we got the enemy on the run. Mop em up "

Colonel King brought up the rest of his men waiting in reserve. They had taken the beach but at a high cost. The koreans had been driven back. Now it was time to attack the city. And what a glorious attack it would be.

For now though the men needed to defend what they had gained. The Koreans would remember theyre defeat. It was his task to inflict as many as possible.

"Roger that, come back to rearm" Anderson replied over his radio.

"Roger Nimrod-3. Yes, regroup on Nimrod-4. Out"

The Jægerkorps had had their first casulty ever. 23 year old Mathias Lylloff. The new guy.
Okse's team had been ambushed on their way and Lylloff had opened up with his M/62. This caused the Kirks to focus fire on him. He had 3 rounds through his head and was dead before hitting the ground.

"think later, act now"

The 8 men moved through Kaesong quietly.
The tanks had fallen back to regroup, the para's were holding the flanks and denying the Kirks acces to the city and the Marines were moving fast towards it.

Jensen had to make the town ready for their arrival. That mean to take out the KPA ammo and fuel dumps, take out IFV's and the assassinate their commanders.

7 Kirk commanders would pay for Lylloff.
He knew they were 7. They were on the plaza beneath him. And the first was in the scope of his M/96

Tactical officer and resident idiot. Little FTW!

Little saw the enemy commanders from here. There were 7 of them in the plaza. He had left his tank back at the square and was taking a look around with his newly aquierd MG 62. He raised his gun to his shoulder and looked down the sights.

In the City square Colonel Reynolds counted the casualties. 4 tanks. 1 Challenger, 3 Warriors. He was happy that the casualties were light. But his tradition of not losing any challengers was in ruins.
"Stamford. Set up a command post in the City Hall. Send a message saying we awiat for the Field marshal at his discretion."
"Aye Sir"
Just then the sound of a MG62 opened up about 2 blocks away.
"Someone's having fun" Commented the Colonel.

"Yes sir... No sir, the situation is under control... it's just that... yes we have taken casualties but.... no we're not sure the city is clear of enemy fighters... We are trying sir, you know.... Ok sir... Sorry sir, right away."

Asher slammed the phone down, snapping off a bit of the bracket where it was held just as his second in command came in through the door in the control room, with the latest reports from the field in his hand. He looked a little shocked.

"Is everything ok sir?"

"Just that twat Commander Nicholson. I mean he thinks just because hes the Supreme Commander here, he knows what iss the best thing to do for the troops, even though he's all the way back in fucking Seoul. I mean he just had a go at me for not having completely secured the city yet... Does he even know this isn't bloody Iraq?" Asher raved wildly. He took a deep breath and then turned back to his deputy. "Ok what's the latest news then?"

"Well sir," started Captain Pratchard. "The Desert Rats have secured the main square and they are trying to hold a perimeter around it, waiting for further orders. Jensen's Jaegers are trying to secure a small town that has been turned into a command post outside the city and have only taken one casualty. Richardson's Para's have secured the rear of the city but got into a major contact last night and have take quite a few casualties, we've had evac choppers going in and out all night, but they're holding high ground and bridges so far."

"Good," Asher smiled, happy for some good news. "Send the orders to the Para's to hold their position. What is the status on King's Marines?"

"They took the beaches but at heavy costs of life and are preparing to assault the city from the rear with a full scale force. Oh and Colonel Leiper's men are back, after having been called out on a false alarm to the airbase, which some idiot in command thought was under attack. Also the South Korean Artillery is now available to us, for some time. That's all sir," said the Captain, closing the file.

"Ok you carry on giving orders to most of the units and tell the Rats to wait until the infantry reach their position," the Field Marshal ordered. "I will get on the radio to the Artillery and the Infantry to get them ready. Dismissed Captain."

As he walked out the room, Asher took up the comms set and began to send messages to the commanders on the ground.

"Tiger 6, this is Sunray. You are cleared to move your men into the city and link up with the armor in the centre of the city. From there you and Rat 6, will work together to clear the city completely. Understood? Over."

"Lance 6, this is Sunray. You are weapons hot but must only fire on targets in the city, which either Rat 6 or Tiger 6 give you the co-ordinates for. The last thing I need is a blue on blue. Do you copy? Over."
