After several hours in the observation posts and with darkness approaching, one of the teams spot movement in the green zone and mile or so to the south.

1-4= It is confirmed to be a group of 8 men carrying weapons heading away from the town- they are confirmed as Taliban
5-6= It is simply a farmer. No weapons or radios can be seen, so the team is not sure if it is a Taliban look-out or not
7-9= On closer inspection it appears to simply be an animal
10= Confirmation on two groups of men armed with RPG's and small arms. There is 13 in total.

"Roger that Echo One Zero. Seeing as we have no Chinook available, I will try and get one of the IRT guys down to your position."

*He got on the net to Major Kahlke*

"Alpha One Zero, could you send down one of your Pirahnas to pick up a field casualty in a stable condition? Over."

*The colonel found the point on the map, the Major was describing*

"Foxtrot One Zero, I want you to hold your fire. You must only engage if they are setting up positions against our forces at our checkpoints or threatening the locals. Am i understood? Over."

*He realised he needed to relieve the Scots at the second village*

"Golf One Zero, this is Sunray, I'm in need of a couple of you Humvees down at Major Leiper's position to watch their withdrawl. Do you copy?"

"Roger that"

Lt.Harris ordered his men to hold fire, and the group of men disappeared into the thick vegetation. He could tell his men were twitchy, and they had a long night ahead of them.

Back at base, Major Travish made one last round to make sure all the defenses were in place, before settling down in the sleeping quarters. He had news that one of the guys was was injured- an Estonian by the sounds of things, and told his men to stay aware in case they needed support. He put his head down to try and get his first decent nights sleep in a good 4 days.
