We can have the meeting on here so as to save having to PM everyone. Although feel free to PM if its info you don't want to share......... Basically- how should we deal with this complicated situation situation. Thanks to the full scale war, many places have descended into a state of lawlessness in which many civilians have been killed. We also have to be careful choosing sides so as not to face a backlash from elsewhere. I think we are all agreed however, that diplomatic action is useless at this moment in time. But we must be careful of backlash from the rest of the Muslim world/ First of all, I fell we should enter talks with Saudi Arabia and Egypt over Somalia and Sudan's place as part of the Arab League. We should also ask them for military assistance. I can move my fleet and my 25,000 strong task force off the east coast of Africa- but we should engage in talks with the Arab League and the Muslim world before engaging any further or else we could ignite new resistance in Palestine and Afghanistan- which could possibly lead to resistance from Iran. |

* Prime Minister Donahue flies to London to attend the meeting * We are well aware of the situation and that is why we have launched our Operation. We can all agree that the Radicals need to be removed from power and even if some here do not agree with me then I say to you that we shall act without your approval. Negotiations will not be possible while the radicals ar in power and at the moment our only goal is to remove the radicals from power in Somalia but we need to consider the Third Alliance and their actions as well, and how they fit into all this. k. Well Britain cannot, at this moment in time, carry out another Operation as long lasting as that of Afghanistan and Iraq- what we need is to quickly get in their and topple them from power. I suggest Britain focuses on Somalia, while the US and Canada focus on Sudan. We should get in touch with Ethiopia and the alliance and engage in joint ops. Agreed? |

*Chancellor Chaves attends meeting (a little late)* Unfortunately due to the recent creation of the AR, and the fact that the whole of the Amazonian Defence Force is having an overhaul at the moment means that the AR can offer no forces to go and support this joint force. However, we believe that in some ways we must not make the mistake of trying to work out a country's fate for them. Yes we can intervene, but we must let certain problems work themselves out. |

Well as this is potentially a matter of national security to Britain, and could potentially undermine our efforts in Afghanistan- we feel action needs to be taken. However, I still believe we should engage in talks first with the Arab league, specifically Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Also, I reckon Path, as someone who is relatively neutral, should be in charge of middle east events during this event (Eg Iran speaks out or threatens action. Hamas and Hezbolla activities increase etc) |

* Members of Task Group Donahue ( the 3 ships stationed in the islands ) arrive off the coast of Somalia * * Using information provided by LIS agents they begin a precision bombardment * * F-1s are present though not employed at this time * ![]() 1 - 3 Few targets are destroyed due to the Coup's movement of caches and stockpiles ; Over a dozen civilians die 4 - 6 Many targets are destroyed which will inhibit the Somali's ammo supplies ; a couple of civilians die 7 - 9 Nearly all targets are destroyed which will heavily deprive Somalia of ammo ; No civilians die - 1 is injured 10 The Missiles achieve devastating effect and deprive Somalia of its oil and ammo supplies ; No civilians are killed or injured * Somali Exile Government arrives on the French Islands * ___________________________________ I do not believe that the Lyon Republic should be unable to aid in the downfall of the Somali radicals after the destruction they have caused and having killed my family. We will happily assist in defeating Somalias allies - however we will be present in Somalia. In fact a bombardment begin just under a minute ago by my watch. I understand that the AR will be unable to help in any operations but I would ask you if you would not be willing to act on and end the corruption and coming tyranny of the radicals who have staged this coup when they have killed your wife and 2 daughters. You rolled a: 10! |
