I came straight here after reading Brett's tweet. WTF? Kish is dead and buried, thanks to homophobia and focus tests. Nothing to do with the actors; they were wonderful. Fuck this Hinsey woman. She's just trying to get publicity for her book. |

TEAM ABS!

That was cool that Brett responded, but also sad, he STILL has to defend himself more than a year later. |

Yes It Is DKJP. I just love how they say actors wnated Money and these new contracts and that SE recuring was an issue. If It was such an issue ABC u should have recast him from the start with an actor that would sign a contract Contract or not Both Brett & Scott put their hearts and souls into Kish and did a great story but some people just wanan squash all those memories. Sorry not riding that bus. I'll never forget what Kish meant to millons of fans and how Brett & Scott made that happen. |

I'm glad Brett responded. I don't understand how I, who knows nothing about the industry, knew he was on a long term contract and this "expert" didn't. |

What crap!! Do they think the fans are this stupid that we'll just believe anything they put out there as "truth"? They forget that soap opera fans remember everything. We remember word for word conversations our favorite characters had 20 years ago. Did they honestly believe that we wouldn't remember that Brett was on contract and Scott was recurring and turned down being on contract? I loathe people who insult my intelligence. I do not have "MORON" tattooed to my forehead thank you very much!! And while I'm venting and on the subject, MICHAEL, get your facts straight too. Stacey drugged Schuyler and tried to have sex with him. Oliver was just drunk (and confused). No drugs involved. Please try to remember the story correctly mister so called professional. :frustrated: |

Ms. Hinsey seems to be a pathological liar. We all know that Brett Claywell wasn't let go during contract negotiations - he dropped by the studio to submit his work for the Emmys and found out that he had already taped his last scene! And Scott Evans found out from Twitter because nobody at OLTL bothered to tell him that he wouldn't be getting work anymore. The only person whose refusal to sign a contract may have contributed to the wrap-up of the custody battle story is Amanda Setton - but does anyone believe that OLTL would scrap months of story involving Gigi/Rex/Téa/Eli/Clint rather than recast one character? Anyone who was watching OLTL in 2009 knows that Dorian pretended to be a Buddhist and married David for money earlier that year, so her masquerade as a lesbian civil rights heroine was not that farfetched. The writers had to write David in and out again, so they put Dorian in a farcical situation like the time she married Mitch or the time she schemed to inherit Aunt Betsy's money. At least this interlude was character-driven because Dorian has always been consumed by envy of Viki, and unlike real-life politicians who care what bigots think, Dorian would only care about why someone might vote for liberal Viki. The same-sex marriage rally was necessary to reunite Oliver/Kyle in classic soap style, and the writers cleverly wove in established characters like Dorian, Roxy, Andrew and Starr. How can anyone complain that this story arc was too political when the woman that Amelia loved enough to want to marry wasn't seen until it was over, and no one pointed out that marriage is about more than love (Nick) or convenience (Dorian), it's a dignity, a security and a subsidy that is denied to some citizens arbitrarily and unconstitutionally on the basis of sex and sexual orientation? As for the accusation that gay-friendly fans were demanding more airtime and calling OLTL homophobic, I don't know who wrote to the show or what everyone else said, but my recollection is that during 2009, most of us appreciated that Oliver and Kyle were interacting with other characters, their love story was being developed beautifully, and their love scene was equal to the Gigi/Schuyler scene in the same episode. We remained positive during early 2010, although it was disappointing that Nick's hate crime story was wrapped up without any payoff, instead of the summer-long trial that came out of Todd's gang-rape of Marty. We noticed that Oliver and Kyle stopped kissing, that Kyle was unseen during most of the Llantano Mountain episodes, and that the scene of Oliver waking up shirtless in Kyle's bed got cut, but our campaign only began when the news broke that there would be no more Kyle/Oliver on our screens. It's not fair to blame us anachronistically for OLTL not valuing its gay-friendly viewers. |

Let us frankly discuss the mad hot sex we're about to have.
|
She is a pathological liar, a drunk, and an abusive, washed up hack who was booted from her soap mag editing job to the cheers of underlings and former coworkers together. Now she's nothing more than a shill for the show execs and wants to sell a book, so anything goes. I'm not surprised by her behavior, but I am surprised and disappointed that Michael Fairman would let her sleazy ass have an open, unquestioned forum for her to spread her lies, when everyone in the industry knows what a JOKE she is. Anyway BA, your whole post was spot-on. You should go post it on MF's site or Facebook page. |
