Nicholas officially opens Oklahoma tonight at Arena Stage in Washington DC! http://www.arenastage.org/ Great pic of Nick here: http://www.arenastage.org/shows-tickets/the-season/productions/oklahoma/ (Looks like he's beefed up for this role!) I'm taking partner to DC tomorrow for his bday weekend and we're seeing the show. . . he's been chatting with Nicholas about doing a one man musical for his theater company in 2011. (I'd kill to accompany him...will let you know!) |

The Washington Post raved Nicholas and the Arena Stage production of OKLAHOMA! Now the New York Times mentions that there may be a possibility of a Broadway transfer. If the transfer does happen, then I hope Nicholas gets to reprise the role of Curly in New York. http://www.washingtonpost.com/gog/performing-arts/oklahoma,1071268/critic-review.html http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/11/10/oklahoma-revival-in-d-c-generates-broadway-buzz/ |

Nicholas sounds even better than Patrick Wilson's Curly in the 2002 Broadway revival. I hope this show makes it to New York with Nicholas in the cast. He really deserves to be in a big time leading role on Broadway like now! |
