Excuse this long first-time post...I've been lurking for the past month and enjoying the board very much, especially the fan fiction. I haven't followed a soap before I started following OLTL at the end of January, and can't believe how I've gotten caught up in just a couple months (I spent one Sunday watching all of the Kyle/Fish YouTube clips---thank you for posting Anthony!) I wish this story had been around when I was growing up in the deep homophobic South, showing these role models....hopefully some young person who may be going through the same issues I was in my youth has seen clips and realized that they can live honestly and happily. Like everyone else, I'm very sad about the recent events, and don't know exactly how to feel about OLTL getting a GLAAD award. I (selfishly) would like the storyline to go on, and I've sent letters, emails and called ABC.but in the end, I simply have to wish the best for the real live people that have shared their talents with so many people. Brett and Scott are young and have their whole talented lives ahead of them. My partner and I are getting married in August (after 20 yrs together, about time, right?) One of the ceremony readings I had chosen was used as the closing line of the OLTL KISH Thanksgiving episode (I was trying to find the entire poem and saw that OLTL used it as the title for that show...I clicked on the show link out of curiosity and it made me a KISH fan...coincidence?) It seems especially appropriate now for all that's going on: Is it so small a thing, to have enjoyed the sun, to have lived light in the Spring, to have loved, to have thought, to have done, to have advanced true friends and beat down baffling foes?
