It's not horror movie music, it's like WAY old school organ soap music he likes to use.

See, that's the problem, for me anyway. There really are no other "good" stories on this show right now. Why would I stay, to watch Jess continue to act like a HS student, to have them continue to ruin Jess/Brody & Cris/Layla (who I actually liked)? Or maybe I should stay to watch Mitch try to rape another one of his children? Or kidnap every child in Llanview to raise as a "follower?" Yeah, none of it's good enough to make me WANT to stay. :annoyed:
And that's why it was such a good question, IMHO. Because they really haven't given new Kish viewers anything to hang around for. Even before the Big Bomb Fell, the only story that has my attention is the baby storyline, because it involves all of the actors I like (BC, SE, SC, DD, AS). They're gone when the story line is done, so what's left? Todd and Kelly? :vomit: Yeah, ITA. I've been watching this show on and off for the better part of 8 years, but there's nothing that would make me stay past Kish. Gigi/Rex are SO overdone & just plain over & done for me, I can't get past Todd's rapist ways, Mitch is just batshit crazy & it appears the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree with Jessica currently, I can't stand Natalie these days (her husband's been dead what, a few months, and she's already all over John again? Um, no, they can keep it).
It's all just major suckage, and Kish was the bright spot of it all. TPTB are the COWARDS, and should completely be ashamed of themselves to catering to homophes & their "focus groups" who most likely don't even watch the damn show as a whole! UGH!

You are not the only one annoyed. I'm pissed again after that lame ass statement. Their basically saying that they ran out of storyline which is every television shows excuse for getting rid of characters. If you are that uncreative, don't become a writer!!! :annoyed: I actually was ticked off at Michael Fairman's comment about ABC not knowing how KISH was tracking. I shot the show an email which said this: I’m listening right now to your show and I have an issue with Michael Fairman’s comment about how KISH was a media darling but we don’t know how they were tracking. Apparently neither does ABC. In the statement to TVGuide ABC stated that KISH didn’t resonate with the mainstream audience. However, the very next day they stated on SoapNet that they did resonate with fans and were loved and won awards for them from the gay community but their story had been told. So ABC doesn’t know how they are tracking either. I was just mad. Shows saying that they ran out of storyline is like McDonald's saying they can't serve you because they ran out of hamburger. LAME, LAME, LAME!! Lily: I wrote a whole stinging letter to Anne Sweeny, Brian Frons, and Frank Valentini about those very points. I'm trying to cool off before sending it though. In any case, they are being so two-faced and unprofessional as regards the Kish story and why it's ending.

TPTB are the COWARDS, and should completely be ashamed of themselves to catering to homophes & their "focus groups" who most likely don't even watch the damn show as a whole! UGH! And there is one of the cruxes of the problem. Ron Carlivati has written it all . . . the good (Kish), and the bad (everything else). If Kish were going to remain a vital part of the Llanview canvas, I'd make my peace with the other stories, even if I didn't like them very much or they bored me to tears. Without Kish, though, why bother to make the effort?
ETA: Maybe Ron should just create a totally gay soap. Not that we need to be marginalized that way, I suppose. But it's clear that "mainstream" America can't deal with us on OLTL. Anyway, just a thought.

Thanks Tony. I'm writing letters this weekend to send out for Monday. I have one drafted and am tweaking it. I'm trying to keep my anger out of it and stay with a logical argument but DAMN they do not make it easy on us poor KISHers.
Glad you liked my joke April  Glad I could help.

But I will be honest, I think that even if there were a story that I like I will not keep watching the show. Not just by protest but more because I CAN'T, my guts are all tied and I want to throw up. :vomit: And that's why I couldn't watch the show today (and I watch the show everyday), I'm disgusted, it's physical... It's gonna be hard Monday...

I've watched this show since I was 12, and even though I love Cris, Layla, Brody, Jess, Nat, Roxy, Dorian and Viki, I cannot in good conscience support a show that is basically telling the whole world that people like Scott Evans, myself and other LGBTQ persons do not matter and that bigotry is acceptable so long as the bottom line is unharmed.
I must draw the line somewhere, and killing KISH is it for me.
