i always wonder if the actors see this whole situation differently than we do. i mean, scott sounded pretty damn cheery on his twitter. nothing like "this sucks, but i gotta move on...." or "I am really bummed about this..." i wonder if by any chance at all if they're basically like "well, ok. moving on" instead of basically fuming like we all are. i am sure they're upset, but eh...seems like scott will most likely keep auditioning and as for brett...well, i have no idea if he did auditions during his time at OLTL...but i guess he will have to get that ball rolling now i have no idea if what i said made any sense. just me venting/sort of thinking out loud. ok anyway.... I imagine they are conditioned that this is part of their chosen profession. I'm sure it stings though. |

I bet Scott's upset about this but neither he nor Brett will have a public meltdown over this. Brett posted something melancholy on his fan page, and I can't imagine Scott taking this lightly given his past statements at his frustration over the ignorance and hate prevalent in this country - the same ignorance and hate that have cost him his job. On a side note, I see David Gregory, who plays Assistant Teaching Assistant/Statutory Rapist Ford, commented on Brandon's link to Brett's past interviews at Brandon's Buzz: David Gregory Brett's awesome... so sad 16 minutes ago Edited by jsg03jd, Mar 11 2010, 07:49 PM.

I have a feeling that Scott is more upset/angry than he's letting on to us. He knows from our previous freak outs about his tweets that us fans are prone to getting woried/ upset etc. Scott doesn't need to be venting his anger on Twitter i'm sure he and Brett are doing that in private. There's no point them burning bridges or being nasty about their former employers, that doesn't look good on the CV. I think it's more the fans job to moan, vent anger to TPTB. At the end of the day actors have to have pretty thick skinned when you think about how much rejection they have to take on a daily basis. I'm sure that Brett and Scott are hurt but they are professionals who most likely know that nothing and no-one is safe in tv shows/films etc. Part and parcel of being an actor i guess. But i don't doubt that behind the scenes Brett and Scott are fuming at the way they've been treated, finding out via a website they've been fired etc after all the time and efort they have put into the storyline as well as attending countless events and doing countless interiews which have been used, by the same people who have fired them, to bolster popularity/promotion of the show. |

I can't watch Kish m-vids anymore. It kinda just makes me start to cry and want to slit my wrists. |

I know. I'm struggling with making them. I was working on a new one when this news came out. I think I'll try to finish, but all the motivation and life has been sucked out of me. I'll wait and see how things go before I make a goodbye vid. :waah: If anything, I want to make a few more to remember all the great Kish moments that Scott and Brett have given us. |

I'm sure they're feeling a range of emotions but they also need to start looking for the next paycheck--so if nothing else that probably focuses the mind a great deal and doesn't really give them much time/chance to feel too depressed or down about things. And it's quite possible that as shabbily as they've been treated in terms of their exit, the role itself has been a pretty big boon to Scott's career--he went from essentially a day player to having a lot of career exposure--so he may not be feeling bitter in quite the same way many of us are. It's very smart (in the total opposite way of the Great Miss Farah Fath) that Scott and Brett are being very quiet in their public reactions to what's currently going on. They're actors, trying to work in this industry, be it tv or film. No producer will take the chance on working with someone, IF that person decides to publicly rip their former bosses a new one, because they were fired or blamed for failing ratings. Producers can do or say whatever the hell they want, they may get called on the carpet for it, but they won't lose their job because of it. |
