I'll likely follow the careers of Scott and Brett, but I fell madly in love with their characters. It's gonna be odd for me to see them in other roles from now on because they inhabited Oliver and Kyle, respectively, so well that Scott and Brett BECAME Oliver and Kyle.
Some comments I've read in other places state that this feels like a death, and I have to agree. We'll never see the likes of Ollie Bear and the mischievous and lovable Kyle Lewis ever again on daytime or U.S. network prime time until this country grows a pair or just grows up period. This is so true... and so sad. Still not getting used to the idea that we won't see Kish anymore after April ... :(

I am very disappointed in Brian Frons I know that the ultimate decision was his, why he felt that Kish didn't connect with mainstream is maybe because he didn't connect but just because he didn't connect (even though he has the authority) doesn't mean that this decision had to have been made. I do hope that we can do something about this because if Kish are not on I'm not watching.
from what i've gotten from my source and as others have said.....sadly, the negative reaction was too much...as were the decline in ratings (which doesn't make sense, but whatever) That's really too bad, why are people so afraid of gay story lines it doesn't make any sense. Plus Kish were not the only people on could they maybe take a look at who else was on during the decline of those ratings because Kish have always been supporting characters. Even in a story that should be about them (Sierra Rose) it's not.

they should have been just backburned for a while. even now, the show should say "ok, we're just gonna have you backburned for a month or so, then we'll slowly bring you back in..."
instead of just throwing in the towel. but they're not core characters or whatever, so to hell with it all, right? i swear man... Whoever leaked out that KISH didn't do well with the "mainstream audience" is an idiot.
But then again, a press release reasoning it's a "storyline based" exit wouldn't have made the news any easier to take even though technically, that is what OLTL is doing: KILLING THE KISH STORY.

Watching that interview was like a punch to the gut. It, more than anything that has happened since the announcement, really made me realize just what we are losing here... :( That's exactly how it feels, watching that interview. They were adorable and saying cute and interesting things about their work and their characters with so much excitement, as usual, but couldn't help being thinking all the time that there wouldn't be more of that :(

If TIIC had backburned KISH for a month, they could have easily decided to just drop them completely, with a little blurb said by Roxy or McBain as to why they weren't coming back to Oakdale Llanview. It seems like someone had already made up their minds to cut their losses and at THIS point, I'm sort of glad that the bandaid has been ripped off the skin quickly, instead of trying to peel it off slowly as to minimize the pain.

I get that people are unsure of what they don't understand but that's how we learn. Anyway Kish is a beautiful couple that were written well that's too bad that tptb couldn't give the characters and the actors the respect that they deserve.
