I think Brett'll be released from his contract but Scott will remain on recurring, that's at least how I felt from reading the article. |

I have serious doubts about Frank Valentini pulling the plug on KISH on his own accord. I'd sooner buy that FV is taking the hit for Frons so that Frons doesn't get attacked for this fuckup. |

Wow. Just...wow. :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: You know, back in early January, when I first discovered such a wonderful thing as Kish existed, I was going through a really awful time. Really, really awful. Then I stumbled into a fan vid about this wonderful love story, and I fell head over heels. Watching Youtube clips kept me from sitting around, staring, and feeling sorry for myself. It's barely been two months. This sucks monkey's balls. I said in another thread that I could accept a recast of the Oliver or Kyle characters if it ever came to that. That I'd become a fan of the show. :pfft: :pfft: :pfft: :pfft: :pfft: :pfft: OLTL just lost a brand new viewer. Once I get my thoughts together, I will be blogging about this nonsense. |

TEAM ABS!

I don't think Scott's going to stick around. Essentially what that article means is Oliver will go back to being a dayplayer cop, pop in for maybe a minute or two, might make maybe 20 appearances a year if he's lucky. Scott isn't going to do that for long. I'd tell OLTL where to stick that idea. |

Kettlebells - they do a body good.

I have to say that while I'm still in shock over OLTL letting Kish go - it's not surprising. They are cleaning house, so to speak. First, Jared, then Stacy, Kim, Rachel, Sky, now Kyle and Fish. They have let go half of their very talented cast. They may as well destroy the sets and rename the show b/c it's not the OLTL that I've been faithfully watching for the past umpteen years. On a lighter note, as a member of the straight community - I would like to personally thank Rc and BC and SE for bringing this long-overdue s/l front and center. I am a formerly-sheltered hetero female who knew next to nothing about the gay community in general. To quote BC, "Kyle Lewis has made me a more compassionate person." That goes double for me. The thing that drew me in to this s/l in the first place was the writing and the chemistry of the two actors. It REALLY is a love story and not a gay love story. It's opened my eyes to a world I never knew existed and I have to thank the network for allowing the characters to come to life in a way I never thought possible. I thought at my age, I knew enough about the world we live in but boy was I wrong! This s/l had me questioning so many of my indoctrinated beliefs about people in general. All people have a story to tell and you should never judge a book by its' cover. A special thank you to Brett Claywell, who as a member of the straight community has done us proud by showing that it doesn't have to be a gay actor in a gay role. Straight actors have the capacity to dig their teeth into it, if only given the chance. I'm sure that Scott and Brett will land on their feet b/c after all, great actors usually do. But in the meantime, here's hoping for two Emmy wins for them and THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE - Kyle and Fish will live on in eternity there. Edited by blonde, Mar 10 2010, 05:16 PM.

If Brett and Scott didn't know until today then something is fishy.....OLTL must be on it's way out. I don't understand network TV anymore. Nothing makes sense. |
