Maybe it's just me and perhaps it's a bit unfair but it seems like far too often gay characters are killed off (I'm still annoyed by last week's Spartacus) so I don't think I'd want Oliver killed off either. I guess my feeling is if both wanted to go, write them out as a couple but if one wants to stay, recast the other and keep the storylines going. |

Exactly. While I absolutely adore both BC and SE in their respective roles, I don't think I'd stop watching solely because one left/was recast. (part of the reason, of course, is that I've become a fan of other characters, so Kish aren't the only peeps I watch for now) As someone said earlier, chemistry is a huge part of making any romantic pairing believable, be it on television or in movies. If the chemistry isn't there, the audience isn't going to buy it. I'm certain they could find new actors to fill the roles, if it became necessary. Would OLTL lose some viewers? Sure. But they could also gain some viewers with the recasts. I like Kish the way they are, but I think the characters have so much potential left in them that I'd hate to see it truncated because of one actor leaving. |

I think Frank/Ron is committed to Brett/Kyle, if he wasn't there was two opportunities to get rid of him. One, they would have not even created the role of Kyle and let Brett go when they gave the role of Sky to SC. And two, before Kish was created, they were going to let Kyle go cause he wasn't clicking with viewers. So, to me, the fact, Brett survived both instances, when in many cases, the show would have simply moved on and let the actor go, says something. |

I wouldn't like a recast of Oliver but if show did, I would watch, just because whatever Brett or Scott decided to do together or apart I WILL support them and if that happens to include Brett sucking face with a recast Oliver, I'll deal, it will hurt for a while but I'll deal.

Yeah I see Ron & Frank Committed to Kish but Not Frons no matter how they spin it so If SE lefty I could Frons say dump BC too |

YUP! And that part of me who doesn't want a re-cast is also because I think it would be very sad to know that Scott and Brett would go seperate ways. I KNOW that this will happen eventually! I know! But right now it just seems that they have become the bestest of friends and I find that quite awesome! I know also, that an actor (be it Brett or Scott in this case) will or could find similar chemistry with another actor, but it could also go wrong, however long they'd look for a replacement. I'm just saying that not only KISH seems to work on screen because of Scott and Brett's friendship and mutual respect, but also because they seem to be totally in awe of the other one in real life and I think both have learned so much from each other by playing this couple, that it's difficult for me to imagine that a replacement would work that well. If Scott left let's say, I could imagine it would be a sad moment for Brett and vice versa. |

Yeah thats the impression i get too. I do have a sneaky feeling if Scott left, Frons would get rid of Brett as well. |
