I would be really upset if Scottl left but at the end of the day if he leaves, he leaves, theres not much i can do about it. TBH, i always thought Brett would leave first, never thought Scott would, not when he's been going on about loving it at OLTL in the media. This might be a controversial view but if Scott intends to leave his show, instead of doing stupid teasing tweets he should just be honest with his fans. If it weren't for them/us Kish wouldn't be the BIG story that they are. I'm not really feeling much love for Scott right now if i'm honest. I HATE recasts when it comes to couples. IMO it never works, and is never the same. Recasts seem pretty regular occurence in the US soaps, whereas in the UK they are very rare. Over here if one part of a couple wants to leave a soap they either get killed off, leave in some dramatic way or the couple leave together. I hope they don't recast Oliver, cause it wouldn't be the same. Kish work because of the chemistry between Brett and Scott. I think the best thing would be to write out Kyle as well, cause then Brett could do other stuff as well, and the Oliver/Kyle story would be ompleted with the two actors who started it. I guess just beause SCott's tested for a part it doesn't mean he will get it, plus i thnk he would be very foolish to leave a regular job on OLTL on the basis of a pilot. What would Scott do if it wasn't made into a series? I wonder how Brett is feeling about this. I hope Scott has been upfront and honest with him. I DON'T want Nick to come back and get with Kyle when Oliver leaves. I HATED the character Nick and i didn't think Brett had any chemistry with NR at all. Plus i didn't think NR was a very good/convincing actor, so this would be the worst possible solution. I obnly started watching OLTL on Youtube cause of Kish, i probably wouldn't bother anymore if Scott left. Good Luck to Scott if he does leave. |

I wish Scott the absolute best in whatever he decides to do! It's exciting that he is getting that interest from primetime. I wish him a long, varied and successful career. I'd miss Oliver but it's not exactly the Oliver show anyway. Even with Oliver, the show is barely using Brett so I wish the same for him. Either give Kyle a SL of his own or I wish a great, juicy role for Brett elsewhere. I want to see him in a major role in an indie film where he can show the depth of his talent. No explosions, car chase, etc. just lots of human drama and humor. |

In theory, I'd be thrilled if SE enjoyed primetime success, but I don't want to lose Oliver!!! :waah: :brokenheart: |

People have commented on it, but the show hasn't given much for Kyle to do outside of Kish. I don't know why. We see Oliver more, interact with more people, have s/l and babies that connect him to more prominent cast members. Is the show not as much invested in Kyle unless he's in a Kish-related s/l? IDK. Plus, Nick doesn't have many if any ties to the show and Kyle's biggest tie to the show other than Oliver is Roxy, and she's not on all the time. That might change, but I guess it all depends on if SE leaves/stays, if BC leaves/stays, if the show is invested in Kyle as much as it is invested in Kish/Oliver. If the show isn't as invested in Kyle, than Brett is talented (one of the best if not the best actor on this show) and is sexy as hell and should/could do some great work elsewhere. But there are too many ifs to know what will happen or anything will change. Edited by converse1973, Mar 5 2010, 01:50 PM.

]ITA!! The show doesn't seem as invested in Kyle as they do in the character of Oliver or Kish. If Scott leaves, i'm pleading with the Show to release Brett, and let him have the same opportunity as Scott to get into primetime. IMO Brett is a better actor than anyone on OLTL (that includes SE), so i would hate to see Brett's obvious talent to be wasted on a show that doesn't appreciate him. |

I agree. I'd wish him all the best for whatever next he'll do and I hope that Brett gets similar offers! I for one would really hate an Oliver re-cast. I'm totally hooked on KISH because I like BOTH actors and BOTH characters just the way they are. I've watched other series and gay couples and usually only liked one of them and then eventually didn't care enough to stay tuned. KISH is totally different! I CANNOT choose one over the other and this is why I would HATE a recast! I would prefer to see them kill off Oliver or KISH altogether. I can't think, don't want to think about what Scott's leaving woud do to Brett... UGH!! Brett seems totally emotionally connected to Kyle (slightly more than Scott to Oliver, but that's just my impression) and to Scott and I think he'd be quite devastated if KISH had to end now.. well, or very soon. I would be too, to be honest! Maybe all that talk or teaser tweeting from Scott is the reason why Brett hasn't tweeted in days.................. All that said, I really wish them both well and amazing careers! An indie film with human drama and humor, ltklo, yes! You said it! That would be the best stuff for Brett for instance. I'd follow him there, as I would follow Scott on Reagan's Law. We can still tweet them both, wherever they ends up! For now though, I'd like some more KISH first pleeeeeze! |

AS i've said in my earlier posts i would also HATE an Oliver recast. If Scott leaves i would want them to Kill off Kish altogether, and release Brett from his contract. I agree, i think Brett comes across as more emotionally connected to Kyle and Ksh (more so than Scott is with Oliver). I really don't think Brett would want to carry on the Kish storyline without Scott. He's said in interviews that they share such a deep connection, that i think Brett would find it very hard to do carry on the Kish story with someone else. I thnk Brett would be genuinely upset if Scott were to leave, and i'm sure thats the reason why he's not responding/tweeting or anything. Maybe Scott hadn't told him that he was auditioning, and Brett just doesn't want to get involved in any of this mess. Sensible boy methinks! Best just for Brett to leave it well alone if you ask me. Brett doesn't come across as somone who would tease, or be vague, which Scott is kinda doing right now. |
