Sweet little interview. Thanks for sharing, Whiskey :) I agree with you, Jude; I got what he meant, but he could have said it with other words... Anyway, am I the only one who found it funny how they wrote this: "The love story between Claywell (who is straight) and Scott Evans..."?? Yes?? OK, sorry, then I guess I'm fourteen... :( |

Thanks for the post! Glad to see Brett get some press. I think sometimes it is better to be short and direct, otherwise they edit it and you get only certain sentences out of context. I wanted Kyle to be the boy next door that happens to be gay. You are welcome in my neighborhood anytime  |

I think Brett just meant that love scenes are embarrasing and uncomfortable whoever they're with, men or woman. Lets not turn on Brett for just one turn of phrase which actors use all the time. They always say that on-screen love scens are the least sensual things ever cause there are so many technicalitie, eg when to kiss, when to tilt your head, camera angles etc. I loved the whole interview, but escpecially these bits: "It was definitely a revelation. It makes you look inside yourself. It took me a week to develop a firm understanding of what my beliefs are (in relation to the story) and I realized this is something I really believed in and this is a way for my beliefs to be heard. We really made that effort in the very beginning. A lot of times on television when you see certain things portrayed in this community it's kind of overdone, not treated with the same kind of subtlety and sensitivity that a heterosexual relationship would be. I wanted Kyle to be the boy next door that happens to be gay.................................. I wanted Kyle to be the boy next door that happens to be gay." Brett always seems so commited to the role of Kyle and the Kish storyline. I like the way he is in tune with his emotions and isn't afraid to show how he feels. He's quite an open book, honest and cute, no wonder i love the man :hearts: Edited by KIsh4ever, Feb 19 2010, 07:48 AM.
