At least Pynchon wrote an accessible full-length novel (I've reread it a couple of times). With Faulkner some of his short stories are fine but you get something like The Sound and the Fury which still makes my head hurt trying to work through it. Blah! Reliving the traumas of the English program only remind me why I never went to grad school! :LMAO: |

You two are way better people than me! :LMAO: My favorite book is either Stranger in a Strange Land or Edith Wharton's not-quite finished novel The Buccaneers (Both endings)--two books that don't really have much in common except the theme of outsiders navigating a foreign society.

Heart of Darkness by Conrad and Timequake by Vonnegut are my two ultimate novels of all time, though. And I will fight those who disagree. |

:fight: Bring it! I take back what I sound about S&F. American Psycho is the greatest book ever! (however Vonnegut is one of my favorites.) |

Hey Luke: This is really good material you've gifted us all with. I'd like to see more. I especially liked the way you interspersed Kyle and Oliver's thoughts. It's a bit like the visual editing the show does where the characters in one scene say something that resonates in the next and they go back and forth. NICE JOB!!!!!!! And I, too, would like to see the show delve more into what Kyle and Oliver are thinking about as they are about to make love for the first time. |
