Nukester's down with AnthonyL, dkp, and appleridge among others, but kishfan's analysis is also quite persusasive, tho I'm less convinced that they'd kiss first. As a generalization, guys tend to think sex first, romance later. (It must be true. I have an "average straight guy" friend, who tells me EVERYTHING, and he's one horny little rascal!) :LMAO: Anyway, Kyle Lewis is a lover. He fell for Oliver Fish, hard, and confessed it. That scared Ollie. He could cope with "messing around" in private (no commitments); but when his friend needed to take it to the next level, he retreated and put up walls. That, of course, only made Lewis more desperate. (Oh, we all know this sequence of events so well.) ....OR..... In the honest privacy of their own frat-room, Kyle was a mashochist and Oliver a sadist. Kyle: Beat me! Ollie: NOOOoooo! *tee hee* ours of pleasure for the both of them. Although most of us have thought that it was primarily a physical thing for Oliver, we did get some additional information when Kyle was spilling to Cris. It appears that their relationship back in college was quite reciprocal and on both an emotional and physical level. They planned a future together. You don't do that with someone you are just boinking. It was only after they made promises to each other and planned a future that Fish started getting cold feet and going back in the closet. So unless Kyle misunderstood what they decided back in college, it appears that they weren't just messing around or in it for the sex. They had made a commitment to each other and it was only after that happened that Oliver got scared enough to go back in the closet. This makes more sense as to why Kyle would still feel so deeply for Oliver. Oliver once upon a time returned the sentiment and they were happy. I can see why Kyle would want to get that back. He isn't chasing after some unattainable guy; he already had him once and he wants him back. Sadly, no one is going to be able to make Oliver magically accept himself. He's gonna have to do that heavy lifting himself. Hopefully the jolt of seeing Kyle truly enjoying himself on a date with someone else will be one of the catalysts that helps push Oliver towards that closet door. |

So Fish admits that he was serious with Kyle in college (even though it was a phase), w/o saying his name. But also Kyle said that Fish was never gay. I hope we get the complete background sometime, sometime soon!!!!!!!!!! |

I think Kyle said that Fish says that he was never gay- he's been insisting for a few eps now that Oliver is after all. |

When I think about what might of happened between them in college I keep rebeating the same story. Oliver and Kyle were in love and planned a future together. Kyle would support Oliver while he went to the Police Acedemy and then Fish would Support Kyle while he went to Med School. Then they got caught or close enough by Fish's parents to scare Fish and he dumped Kyle. Leaving him high and dry on how to get through Med school and that is why he had to pull the crap with the blood for Roxy. |

Yeah, I've been thinking that about the financial support as well- it would make all of Kyle's references to being penniless while he's talking about Fish linked nicely. I'm hoping that if/when they get to discussing/showing the past we get to see Kyle do something wrong too, just a little something- Not to Fish, but maybe he was conning or blackmailing another individual which made it easier for Fish to convince himself that Kyle wasn't someone he could trust himself with. |
