I didn't see this post anywhere, but I have been dying to voice my theory. This is all speculative of course. Kyle and Fish met during college. Fish was the hot geek/nerd. Kyle was a bit more wild but also smart. There was maybe a drunken encounter or 2 at the beginning, but it developed into something more. Fish wasn't at the self acceptance stage yet so I am guessing that he slept with both Kyle and the ladies (if the ladies at all). Kyle mentioned something about getting hurt to Cris so Kyle is more comfortable with being gay, then and now. So I am thinking that Fish dumped Kyle in all senses of the word wanting to be straight. He is still awkward with the ladies but you obviously see him trying to over compensate with Stacey and Layla. And as I was typing this... i am re-watching Kyle roll his eyes at Fish kissing Layla :LMAO: What do you think? |

It's plausible. Everything's up in the air now, as far as I know, so this scenario is a possibility among many other possibilities... |

I agree that it started off as a physical thing and maybe Oliver was actually comfortable with that because a lot of men are okay with having sex with men as long it's just that and they don't put any feelings to it. But I think that eventually it grew to something romantic and Kyle may have even expressed his feelings. He said last week that when you get involved with someone you get hurt. He said it with such bitterness and pain that you knew that was deeply hurt by his relationship with Oliver. Yet, years later he is still into this man so he was and is totally in love with him. And he wants him back. I think eventually they will get back together, but Oliver's inabilty to live openly is going to be a big issue for them. Like before he'll want to be with Kyle. He'll even be able to admit his feelings for him to him.... as long as nobody knows about it and it stays on the DL. |

Yeah, I think it's very up in the air of what happened between Kyle and Oliver back in college. I'm thinking along the same lines at Anthony though. I suspect it was something that started out physical, but Kyle wanted to make it more serious and Oliver didn't (either because he didn't think of himself as gay/denial or didn't want to be gay/act on his feelings), that's when things probably ended. Kyle, despite probably being hurt (as he sort of hinted on Friday, like Anthony said) he still has feelings for Oliver and might still love him. Edited by dkp, Jul 12 2009, 08:53 PM.

I agree with Anthony all the way. i feel Kyle was more into or at least to the point that he felt he could share feelings with Fish. that probably scared Fish off. How they broke up I am not sure, however, I doubt Fish slept with a female. his sex with Stacy looked brand spanking new to him like he never experienced it before. |

ITA with the above comments: Fish and Kyle became sexually involved; Kyle wanted a relationship, which scared Fish; and, yeah, I think Fish's first time with a woman was with Stacy. By the way, when exactly was the night spent with Stacy? Is it possible that (spoiler/speculation) Stacy's upcoming pregnancy could be Fish's and not Rex's baby? |

It happened during the GO RED ball, which was part of February 2009 sweeps, so it's been a long while since Ollie Fish had that one night stand with Skankcy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Orle8qL4K0s Should Skankcy ever get pregnant, it couldn't be Fish's kid, so it's safe to say that Fish can't be a candidate for a "Who's the Daddy?" storyline should Stacy get pregnant in the near future. That kid will be Rex's because she had unprotected sex with Rex on the matted floor of Ultra Violet. As far as I'm concerned, the farther Fish is away from Stacy, the better. It's funny to watch these clips in hindsight given what we know now and to see how naive Fish was/is around women. Fish was just comic relief then, so I'm glad we're turning to the character's serious side now. |

I bet this is pretty close to what happened. It seems pretty obvious that Kyle is carrying a bit of a torch and hasn't gotten over his (our) young Oliver and who can blame him? I totally get why nerdy Fish would be attracted (and scared) by bad boy Kyle. Since Fish is not yet comfortable with being gay, it makes sense that he totally overcompensates (poorly) with Skankcy (perfect name!). I just hope he doesn't end up hurting Layla cause I really like her. Can wait to see what happens next! |

Has anyone seen the movie 'Defying Gravity'? It's about 2 frat boys, John & Pete that have a fairly physical relationship. They both are not out but Pete is more comfortable being gay then the other one. John pretty much uses the other one for sex and even keeps interested in the ladies even though he doesn't curve that way. Unfortunately one is severely beaten and the other finally comes to terms with who he is. without all cheesy dialog and the bashing, I can draw some parallels between Kish and Jote with Kyle being Pete and Fish being John. So I guess we will find out soon (but not soon enough). |
