Part 3 Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, ABC does. Morning, 9 August 2009 “Thanks for helping me move to my new loft, Fish. It’s beautiful, with a good view of the city. I think I’m gonna like it here,” cooed Stacy as she opened the den window. “I made us some Chicken Parm so we can celebrate!” Fish dropped the last box of Stacy’s items, which, by the way, was a treasure trove of lacy underwear. “Hurray! I always loved your Chicken Parmesan. It tastes the same every time: delicious,” complimented Fish. He then took out some foam plates from another box and laid them on the coffee table. Always amused by his enthusiasm, Stacy giggled to herself as she took out the food. After the meal was finished, Stacy looked into Fish’s eyes and told him, “I’ve got a confession to make. When I moved in to your apartment after Rex kicked me out…I was pregnant with his child. He knocked me up, Fish.” Shock colored the face of the policeman as he was startled by the revelation. “Did you, well, are you gonna keep the baby?” whispered Fish, as if trying to keep the news a secret. Miss Morasco knocked him on the side of the head. “Of course I’m keeping it, you bozo!” screeched Stacy. “Now, we better hope that Rex would step up to his responsibilities as a father and marry me,” “I hope so, too…or he’ll have to answer to me,” added Fish, who pounded on his chest to look tough but instead just hurt himself. “Thanks a lot. You know, Fish, you’ve been such a great friend to me since Day 1. Why? I was so mean to you. Why do you stick by me?” wondered Stacy. “Haha, you see, you helped me find my manhood. I’m forever thankful for allowing me to share two wonderful nights with you,” answered Fish with a blush. “Oh, brother. You’re still an airy fruitcake. That’s why we could never be together. You do understand that. Don’t you?” asserted Stacy. It was clear that Fish was hurt by her blunt comment. “Sorry to say this, but you can be a little insensitive at times, Stacy. I’m saying this cause I care, that’s all,” said Fish meekly, not wanting to put her on the defensive. “I don’t like to sugarcoat things. Telling it as it is, in the end, is much better than supposedly “protecting” people with BS,” pointed out Stacy. Night, 9 August “This is the second time already that you called me Oliver. It’s so frustrating when your booty call calls you by another person’s name. What’s the deal, Kyle?” asked CJ, who was spending the night at Kyle’s. “Seriously, man. Drop it. I said “Oh Lover” not “Oliver”, ok?” said Kyle defensively. “Whatever, Kyle. You’re hung up with some guy. I’m feeling like I’m part of a sleazy affair here. If you want me to leave, just say so,” retorted CJ, who pulled his boxers from the floor and put it back on. “Hold up!” yelled Kyle, who seriously did not want to be alone that night. “Just stay, OK? I’m not in the mood,” Relenting, CJ sneered and hopped back into bed. “You know what, Kyle? I pity you. You’re always so gloomy. Is it medical school? If you got money problems, I’m here. You know I come from two rich families. You don’t need to be doing anything shady,” said CJ. Despondent, Kyle turned to face the wall. “I don’t need you to be my sugar daddy. In fact, I never needed anyone to support me. I pride myself in that aspect,” sighed Kyle. “OK, so your professional life is fine. You’ve got your blackmailing and your odd jobs. Great. Let’s talk about your personal life. That is a mess,” smirked CJ. Nodding his head in agreement, Kyle turned back to face CJ. “You think? I don’t know what to do with myself. So what if I’m gonna be this great doctor? There’s nothing to look forward to when I come back home from work every day. Nobody to come see in the hospital if I slip into a coma. Reality bites,” Kyle mumbled. “Some drama queen you are. You’re just mad that you and this Oliver person didn’t work out. Give me a f**king break,” groaned CJ. “Oliver is not just some person, CJ. He was…is much more than that to me. We shared 3 years together, that ought to count for something,” said Kyle. “Who cares? Was he good in bed?” asked CJ. “Better than you are. You are a vile one, Clinton James. Anyhow, let’s shut up now. I’ve got a long day tomorrow,” yawned Kyle as he turned off the lamp. Morning, 22 September “What are you doing here, Oliver? What are those toys you are buying?” asked Kyle, who bumped into Fish at Target. “These are for Stacy’s baby. Any more questions?” asserted Fish in a frosty tone. “Knowing Stacy, you have one toy for each baby daddy,” cracked Kyle. “I don’t like it when people judge my friend Stacy. You just don’t understand her, Kyle. FYI, Rex is the baby’s father. She told me. We have to get everything ready when she gives birth March the 31st of next year, so if you’ll excuse me…” Fish was looking for every reason to avoid Kyle. “She even calculated her own due date? I dunno, Oliver, but your buddy Stacy is obsessed with Rex,” snickered Kyle, who was at disbelief. “You’d know a thing or two about obsessed. See ya,” said Fish, who later regretted saying it afterwards. End of Part 3 Note: Sorry about the delay, folks. Life is getting pretty busy at the moment. As always, comments are appreciated and encouraged. |
