How to get started

After your registration, pick an in-game name. Make sure that name is visible when you post in-game for example by putting it in your signature.
Also, choose a party you wish to join, and possible a function within that party, like President, Vice-President, or Parliamentarian. Provide as much information as you can about your created character.
Send a personal message to LionKing for acceptation.

How to play

- If you are member of parliament, you can use your parliamentary power to achieve your goals, through legal and prescribed ways.
- If you're not a member of parliament, or member of a non-parliamentary fraction, you should use other methods, be it legal or illegal. For example you may hold rallies, manifestations, propaganda campaigns, etc; or expand your popularity amongs the people themselves instead of in Parliament.
- If you're a Minister, you will be charged with executing the decisions of King and Parliament.
- Every player willing to be an in-game parliamentarian will get a seat in Parliament, untill the Parliament is full. Note that the Jacobin Movement is not in Parliament.
- If the Parliament isn't full, than in case of a parliamentarian vote, the amount of votes (= amount of seats) will be divided amongst the number of real-life players. Example: if there are four real people playing Catholic Party parliamentarians, each one will speak only for himself. The other parliamenterians will speak through the Admins. But in case of a vote, only the four players with Catholic Party members will be allowed to vote. This means each one holds 12 votes.
- For the moment we will allow:
4 people to play Jacobin
10 people to play Liberals
This is because the revolution of the Third Rank has yet to begin, and all of politics is still ruled by the nobility and the church.
This regulation may be changed in the future.
- You can start your own party or political fraction though, but only with at least 2 members and if you write all details about your party, including the party flag/logo and motto, yourself. Proposals for fractions have to be sent to the Admins for permission.
- The Parliament of Arcadia debates about political issues. Whenever necessary, the Parliament will vote about the Proposal at hand.
- An accepted Proposal is called an Act of Parliament, and will be enacted immediately.
- The King of Arcadia is an absolute monarch, with almost limitless power. However, the current King stays a bit on the background of politics and allows the nobility and the Catholic Party to take care of the nation for now. He will be personificated by the Admins.
- The King of Arcadia has the right to veto Acts of Parliament, and even to dissolve the Parliament when he deems necessary.
- The King can also enact his own decisions, these are called Royal Decrees, and have the same power as an Act of Parliament.
- Royal Decrees have to be ratified by the Parliament before they are accepted, but the Parliament has to bear in mind that the King can always dissolve it if it opposes him.
- Ministers form the executive power of Arcadia. To become a Minister of Arcadia, one has to be of noble blood and be accepted by the King of Arcadia.
- Only the offices of Minister of Justice, the Minister of War and the Minister of Domestic Affairs are playable at this time.
