If I had the money I'd buy the car I've attached to this post. http://viper.dragtimes.com/viper/hre/1996-Dodge-Viper-GTS-quarter1_hre-sm.jpg |

Wetter, I don't think my parents would let me have anything this big or with this much power but if I could have anything I wanted I'd be looking hard at this one. I see a red one all the time & it looks really good but I'd want to check out the green & the yellow. Here's the site: Webpage |

I don't know why they stopped making the GTS, it was the best looking Viper ever & I think it's the ONLY good looking viper. The new ones look OK now but the GTS looked great! |

The GTS was the best looking still don't understand why they stopped making it. I actually haven"t seen the new Vipers yet so I can't really compare. |

Well if they never made the GTS, the new one would be the best looking viper but it looks more like a Corvette if they made the Corvette look good. It's still no where near as good looking as the GTS. |

I literally just test drove that today with my dad. Well, my dad test drove it while I sat in the back because I don't actually have a license yet. We drove the one with the bigger engine, and it was fast. My dad had to be really careful because he kept hitting the gas too much since he wasn't used to that much power. I liked it a lot but I don't think I'll be able to get it since it was so powerful. It had a nice sound too when you hit the gas. The only problems I saw with it were that the interior was kind of crappy and there was no head room in the back. I'm gonna try to convince my dad I should get it, but I really doubt he'll say yes. |

Tell him you want the one with the small engine. Do you really care how much headroom it has in back? Most of the cars I want don't even have a back seat. I read a review for that car & they really liked it. Why can't we make cars like that here?

The one with the small engine doesn't seem worth it when there are plenty of cars priced similarly with the same engine. For a similar price, the GTI is much nicer I think. P.S. Y'know, this is a perfect time to answer email. |

I think the Hyundai is way better looking than the Golf. I'm checking my e-mail while I'm here but it takes a long time to change accounts. If you're thinking about the Golf, check out the Fiat 500 Arbarth,, they will be selling it soon & if you don't get it or the Hyundai, 2 of your friends will be driving cool cars & you'll be driving a golf cart. |

The Hyundai looks better than the Golf probably, but the Golf is more practical with real back seats and I can up it to like 260HP with a computer upgrade. I can tell from looking at pictures of the Fiat that it will be really small on the inside and probably uncomfortable for me, plus it looks like the kind of car only women will drive. Plus I don't think there's really been an official word on its release and I don't want to wait until the end of the year. |

You can do a computer upgrade on any car even the Hyundai. The last picture I saw of the Fiat, it looked like it had lots of room inside. An Arbarth is like a Cooper Mini or a Shelby Mustang, girls don't buy them! |

Justin, I think everyone knows I collect diecast race cars so here's 2 photos of one of them, it's the 1998 Oreca Viper GTS & I think it's the best looking GTS Viper they ever made. It also won The 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTS class. Oreca ran the Viper racing team for Chrysler. Sorry the quality isn't very good but I had to re-do them 3 times to get them small enough to post here. |

It's name is Start, kind of like Smart, it's got an instrument pod like Mini's had 50 years ago, the shifter is mounted "high in the console." Sounds like the Renault Clio, it has a 3 cylinder turbo like most of the Kei cars in Japan and it looks really cool! START Oh yeah, and you can change the roof panels too. |

Wetter, I have one more idea, since you can't get over this sick Golf obsession, I was reading a road test that said the Golf TDI is a good car. The performance is almost as good as the GTI & it gets great fuel economy. Since your parents probably won't want you to have a GTI, you might be able to convince them you want a TDI for environmental reasons. And then there's this: V W That's what we call an economy car up here. Are you up for a road trip to Canada? |

I don't know if I'm getting a car anymore, I'll explain in the long email if I ever get to send it. I'm still up for a road trip to Canada though. You can take me horseback riding. |

I'm a truck guy myself. Even though I just got my license, I don't have enough $ for a car yet, but if I had the green, I'd get a Ram 2500 with the Cummins 6.7L turbo diesel. Is 610 ft-lbs of torque really necessary? Yes. |

Here's one Uncle Seuss wrote for another site for us to share. I'm not sure where this fits in but on a site for creative people, anything conceived of by Adrian Newey deserves a place and since this concept car was created in a virtual world by Polyphony Digital for GT5, I suppose this is the best board for this story. The Red Bull X1 Prototype A Look Inside the Ultimate Formula 1 Car By Jethro Bovington, Contributor | Published Nov 24, 2010 What if there were no rules in Formula 1? And we don't mean on the track, but in the construction of the cars. No displacement restrictions, no weight guidelines, just open season on innovation? Sounds fun, but the reality is that the resulting machines would end up with wildly differing performance, look even more bizarre than the current cars and would probably operate at a level beyond even the most talented drivers. Even so, the idea of a "no rules" F1 car is fascinating. And now we have at least one version of what the ultimate F1 car might look like. This is the Red Bull X1 Prototype, the ultimate prize on the just released and highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5. A joint project with Polyphony and Red Bull Racing, the X1 Prototype was created from a sketch by Adrian Newey.Story & Photos |

No offense, guys, but I'm not into cars at all! I got a car when I was 17, a Ford Taurus, total old person's car but it was great for me..... hit the gas pedal and it went, but it's still in Cali now (sigh). Now way you want a car in New Yawk anyway, someone will steal it or you have to pay like $500/month to park it. No thank you, I don't have time to drive that much anyway but it is soooo nice to get off campus for awhile. I just take the subway, goes all over here but even if I could get a nicer car, I wouldn't want it. Just not something I'm into at all. Sara |
