Something was moving through the sewers, this much was certain. Everywhere around you, this was obvious. Always moving, data monitors noted excess weight in areas where the weight shouldn't be. Drains overflowing which should not have given the technology that kept them in perfect working order, but were written off as minor malfunctions in programming. Even though this was known, no one suspected what might be there. Investigators were sent over the course of a few days to find whatever was down there, but other than water current differences, nothing was found. Water current differences, that meant something had caused the flow of water to change direction, but the sewers remained the same shape, so that only meant that something had passed recently enough to move the sewage material aside. Only one mention of what caused was known, and written, as it was given by a drunkard. If the investigator had known that meant, they could have saved themselves an embarrassment when a certain faucet began leaking abnormally... But that wasn't known, so Chaos remained unknown until his emergence in the kitchen. (OOC: Would you mind having Chaos emerge from your characters' faucet? That's how I intend on introducing Chaos, through the Kitchen faucet! He's childish, so the kitchen faucet is perfect! Even if it's just a random person who uses the faucet and not you, it'll still be hilarious! Better if they use a pot or other blunt kitchen object in response to Chaos' entrance.) |

Ryumaru was in the kitchen of his house when he noticed the leak in his sink, unaware that there was more than meets the eye. The first thing he tried to do to stop the leak was bang on the faucet, but he hit it too hard and caused a small flood in his kitchen between bending the faucet upwards and stopping the leak. "Darn leaks, they'll be the death of me... and I just had it repaired last week too. Maybe I should learn how to fix these myself... I'd probably save myself a fortune." |

Suddenly, more water began pouring from the faucet, though the automatic shut off should have stopped the leak from getting any worse, and more and more water began coming out of the faucet, and began to pool on the kitchen floor, rather oddly. It started to spread out along the floor, but abruptly stopped after getting a foot from the edge of the cupboard underneath. Water kept pouring out of the faucet, and you can easily see that the water is consciously driven. After about three minutes of moving out of the faucet, Chaos' head finally gets out of the faucet, and his eyes are annoyingly happy, considering that Chaos just came through the faucet! Chaos: (Crazy happy smile, though it's just his eyes) That fun! Where next? |

Ryumaru both shocked and angered by the appearance of a strange water-like Youkai. "Kisama... Shi ne!" He then quickly charged his claws with small amounts of Reiki and Youki and slashed at the Youkai what was in his faucet (44 damage) Seiki: 200/200 Reiki: 197/200 (-5 for Ryuutsume, +2 for regain) Youki: 197/200 (-5 for Ryuutsume, +2 for regain) (Note: "Kisama" is japanese, more specifically an offensive form of "you". You could say it translates roughly as "You bastard" but has no literal translation. "Shi ne" is also japanese, and means "Die!") |

(OOC: VERY much a child! How do I post the damage taken? Do I post it during my post as a damage indication, or as a sidenote? Chaos has 400 health basically, bringing it to 356 health, right? Either way, Chaos only clued in on 'shiny'. Not dismissing the damage, but Chaos LOVES shiny objects, he could cuddle a speck of glitter for hours, and shiny is an indication of something sparkly!) Chaos, though he did take damage, heard the word 'shiny' to his ears (Shi ne, basically) and grabbed a shiny object, in this case, a whisk that shined when the light reflected of it. |

(With damage taken, all you have to do post your Seiki and stuff like I'm going and show the decrease in your current Seiki.) "Pay attention, you aquatic asshole." He then slashed at the Youkai again with Reiki & Youki-charged claws (44 damage). "What's the big idea wrecking my kitchen like this? I hope you're going to pay for the repairs for all this... otherwise, I'll make you pay." Seiki: 200/200 Reiki: 194/200 (-5 for Ryuutsume, +2 for regain) Youki: 194/200 (-5 for Ryuutsume, +2 for regain) |

Chaos: Pay? You mean seashells? (Chaos reaches into his own substance, and pulls out five very intricate seashells, and these have strange designs carved into the shells themselves, quite interesting really...) Is this right? (OOC: As far as the underwater denizens go, these five shells are quite a lot of money in his terms, though he also remembers a shipwreck of the coast where he found the sewer entrance. That ship also has very valuable cargo, and salvage laws mean that anyone who finds it first gets first pick of what's there.) Seiki: 312/400 Edited by Ryumaru, Apr 14 2008, 06:41 AM.

"Seashells? You're kidding, right? These aren't worth anything." Ryumaru took a deep breath and calmed himself. Based on the simplistic behavior of this Youkai, he was likely only a child, and he wasn't about to make a child pay for damages. "Look, kid, It's not nice to play in other people's... faucets, especially without their permission. Forget what I said about paying for it... just help me clean up all this water." He then left the kitchen to go get a pair of mops and some sponges. Seiki: 200/200 Reiki: 200/200 (+20 for regain) Youki: 200/200 (+20 for regain) (The "battle" is over now, so starting your next post, you'll regain 40 Seiki per turn. Just copy what I added to your post for you and paste it at the bottom of all of them until you get back up to full health.) |

(OOC: So I basically lost 18 Seiki? Not sure how the damage relates, did I lose 18 Seiki, or 180? Not sure how much to multiply each stat from the character to battles. Some games I can have only 20 power but do close to 35 damage normally, which is why I'm not sure how to do the math formula from double digits to single digits. I hope I did this right. This is my first time doing this myself, so I'm not sure If I have this down right... Sorry if I don't have the stats down just right.) Seiki: 352/400 Youki: 200/200 When Ryu comes back with the mopes, he finds that the water has already been cleaned up, and that Chaos actually is holding a few fishes that he found the way through the sea inside himself, tiny little minnows, which is why the faucet broke. The fish were too big to fit, so Chaos broke the faucet to keep the minnows comfortable. Chaos seems to have taken the water on the floor inside himself, but he IS a being of water, second only to the Spirit of Water Herself. (OOC: As far as his ranking, if you know of Tales of Symphonia, the Summon Spirit of water is Undine, and as far as ranking, Chaos is below her, as he's mortal while she would be considered a god. I'm not saying that Undine would BE here, just that Chaos is the second highest member of the aquatic world, second only to the Water Herself. Herself is how the Goddess is referred to by Chaos and others from the oceans. The Goddess is MUCH more powerful than Chaos, with the exception of the original Chaos from the Sonic X series where he became that dragon form. Just a little background on the aquatic world. I try to do this from time to time.) Edited by Ryumaru, Apr 15 2008, 04:55 AM.

(Please read this topic: Stat System Details | It explains things like that for the most basic uses of the stat. Any other multipliers of the stat are the ones stated on the Skills. As for damage, it's simple 1-to-1, whatever damage is stated is what you lose. As for power-to-damage calculations, we aren't calculators, so all that stuff outside of skills is plain and simple, with the value of the stat being the amount of damage you can deal.) After Ryumaru returned to see the water all gone, he looked at the aquatic Youkai, figuring he cleaned it all up. "Well, at least you cleaned it all up yourself." He then put aside the cleaning equipment, walked next to his guest, and looked down at him. "So, what's your name? I'm Ryumaru Akagane, though you call Ryu if that's too long for ya." (Also, Chaos isn't actually water. If he was, then you could easily make yourself any size you wanted by absorbing water into your mass. The fact that never once made himself that much bigger than he originally was until Chaos 6 Form, during which transformation, by the way, was several thousand feet in the air, is proof of that.) |
