Feu
Normal Power Fire Spell Entangle

A simple fire spell consisting of a burst of magical fire which often sets the target alight.

Éclat - Standard Power Lightning Spell, Unstable

A rapid flash of lightning is produced by this spell. Not too powerful, but good for the element of surprise.

Brise - Standard Power Wind Spell, Armourslayer

A piercing wind spell that can drive through even armour plate.

D-Ranks:

Glacier - Standard Power Ice Spell, Permanence

A clever spell that creates a wall of ice, useful for many battle situations.

Orage - High Power Lightning/Water Spell, Amalgamation

This spell creates a violent burst of weather, a potent mixture of lightning and rain.

Fente - Standard Power Earth Spell, Conjuration, Entangle

A brutal rock slide, dealing physical damage while impairing the quality of ground over which foes can move.

Jette - Standard Power Water Spell, Impact

A powerful burst of water, with enough force to knock foes over. However, it doesn't cover a wide area.

C-Ranks:

Canicule - High Power Fire Spell, Area of Effect, After-Effect, Heavy

A rather slow fire spell, which is effective when it gets going. It raises the surrounding temperature to an unpleasantly heat despite the surroundings, making foes unwilling to fight for long.

Verglas - High Power Ice Spell, Area of Effect, Entangle

Another widespread spell, but of an opposite nature to Canicule. It consists of a burst of cold air, stunning the foe, then converting the ground surrounding the target into a slick ice plate, unsuitable for battle.

Tonerre - High Power Lightning Spell, Artillery

A long range spell, the sheer range of it lessens the accuracy. Because of this, only mages with pertinent skill are given this so they can use the single, powerful lightning bolt it casts to strike a single yet important foe.

Rocher - High Power Earth Spell, Impact

Not one of the most skilfully designed of spells, Rocher is created for the simple means of offense. It doesn't require much skill to cast, but the simplistic might of a literally rock-hard blow is greater than other spells of the same level.

B-Ranks:

Foudre - Full Power Lightning Spell, Enhance (Skill)

This tome is quite unique in that it has an enchantment built in to aid the flaws of it. The spell manifests itself as a trio of bolts of lightning that gather together to strike the target. However, they glisten with a hint of magic, a tint of blue colouring them. This is the mark of an enchantment that bends the path of the spell towards opponents, improving the accuracy.

Marécage - High Power Water/Earth Spell, Area of Effect, Entangle, Permanence, Heavy

As this spell is cast, the area in which the spell is targeted starts to move of its own accord. Firstly, the ground starts to oscillate in small quakes, breaking the once smooth ground into rough, undulating terrain. In the shallower parts of this, water starts to seep through, uniting with the earth magic. The resulting effect is that the ground becomes comparable with a boggy marsh, unsuitable for battle.

Magnefeu - Full Power Fire Spell, Impact

Magnevente - High Power Wind Spell, Brave, Unstable

A-Ranks:

Déluge - Full Power Water Spell, Artillery, Area of Effect

Fourneau - Epic Power Fire/Earth Spell, After-Effect, Amalgamation

Ouragan - Full Power Wind Spell, Enhance (Speed), Area of Effect

Tempête - Epic Power Lightning Spell, Brave, Short-Ranged

A wearying spell, but frightfully powerful too. Only the most valiant of mages use this, since it will usually be the last spell they cast. The spell isn't like dark magic, which is malevolently harmful to the caster for the sole reason of increasing it's own power. Instead, it is unnaturally powerful for its speed, allowing the user to overcome any forces directly around them. However, after several uses, it will most probably be useless due to the sheer volume of power drained from its pages, leaving the caster in a similar state as well.
