1. Get 36 quilting squares, roughly an inch and a half by an inch and a half in size. 2. Sew the squares together in four panels of nine squares in whatever pattern you want. 3. Sew two panels together, then sew the other two panels together. 4. Cut two pieces of fabric approximately nine inches long and an inch wide. 5. Sew each piece of fabric so they each make a tube. 5. Finally sew the two tubes onto the purse to create handles. You can either leave the purse open, or attach velcro onto it to keep it shut. Word of advice: Don't use stretchy fabric. I learned that because the one I made for Kim stretched way down when she'd put anything in it. |
