The Riddling Reaver; I've decided I want to try to run a game

I've decided I want to try to run a game. Since I've never done this before, I'll be using a pre-made campaign: The Riddling Reaver, a campaign for Fighting Fantasy: The Introductory Role-Playing Game. If you've played any of the gamebooks you'll probably have a fair idea of the rules.

There are two ways I could go about this: use the Introductory rules, whereby all I need is a favoured weapon from each player, and a decision about who'd play the wizard, if anyone. Or, I have the rulebooks for Advanced Fighting Fantasy, which introduces a Special Skill system, where a player can pick skills to specialise in as well as having a general skill score. (I got the books from a school fete years back for a couple of dollars).

Scratch all that rules stuff.
Characters start with a melee weapon, a pack, rope and 10 portions of provisions. They have randomly generated stats: skill, stamina and luck. One character can be a wizard.

The Riddling Reaver is a strange adventure, going up against an avatar of chaos, which makes it more interesting than the 'normal' adventures supplied with the Advanced Fighting Fantasy rules, and making it well suited to present company, I feel.

Anyway, any Interest?

Oh, yeah. Story. A party of adventurers arrives in town just in time to see the local lord fighting for his life against a strange man on top of a tower. That's about it for the beginning.

No-one wants to try this? It really is interesting, with genies and people getting turned into monkeys and riddles and stuff.
