An idea for a game; a few months ago on the old egs board...

There was a brief burst of activity on the old EGS board a few months ago, and one of the results thereof was an idea for a game I dubbed 'I See Dice Dungeon', after the game of randomness that was the only active thread (apart from Last Post Wins, of course).

Loosely, the idea was for the players to build characters using the Tri-Stat system (which I feel is well suited to a forum game), and take turns GM-ing small scenarios for these characters (using the Tri-Stat rules, free-form or however else the GM likes).

Looking through the rules I wrote, you'll find a lot of rules regarding 'changes', which are a throwback to the I See Dice games, and not core to the idea I had in mind.

Anyways, here's the link to what I wrote. Reckon it'd work here? With or without the 'changes'?

Not really, no. I'm more of a D&D fan than whatever watered down ruleset you're referring to anyway. And most here aren't much for enumerated RPing.

To be honest, I only wanted a ruleset to act as a crutch for players who weren't really confident to GM. Such as me, for example (though I have a few adventures from a book I could run). Using a ruleset one could set up a tough combat encounter instead of relying on creativity.

But....we LIKE creativity...even if some of us are low on that lately.

That's why the setting is basically a wild magic zone. But some of us aren't confident or comfortable in our ability to come up with a compelling scenario.

Personally I find numbers to improve creativity.

Rules or no rules, how do people feel about this kinda 'round robin' GM-ing?
