Uzumaki a horror manga by Junji Ito, Uzumaki focuses on Kirie Goshima, a relatively normal high-school student who lives in the small town of Kurozucho one day she meets her boyfriend, Shuichi, who after going to school out-of-town, notices that everything in the town is "contaminated" with spirals creepy, awful, inhuman things start to happen to the town and its inhabitants as they all slowly become obsessed with spirals, both natural and artificial the art is fantastic and the story is really weird and surreal-feeling, I recommend it A++ would read again Edited by DrSlouch, Mar 28 2010, 04:32 PM.

god Uzumaki was awesome it has an excellent sense of style and at times its downright creepy ![]() for extra fun, read the manga while listening to THIS or THIS. there's also a japanese (subbed) movie, which you can watch on youtube here; although the ending is different. BUT IT'S WRONG!
|
I don't usually read or watch horror anything, but this made me curious. It's creepy, but I couldn't stop reading it until I finished. So, yeah... It's good, but rather unsettling most of the time. |

That's almost exactly me. I usually don't read or watch things that are really horror, but this one somehow managed to drag me into it. I read it all in one (intermittent) session. |
