mega man 7's soundtrack has always had a certain charm for me, it's not great by any stretch but it is still sort of enjoyable and even if some of the samples are iffy there are spots where the compositions are just great (the intro stage particularly)

i'm really starting to like wily stage 1 from mm7 a lot more, now. it's really starting to take center stage as one of the better songs in the game. but why did you link a 1979 metal song, that's not a video game song and it's really not that similar to the mega man 7 song

Level One is a pretty neat song. it could use a bit more, i think, but it's instrumentation is pretty nice and I like the thickness of the main melody/synths used.

Level Two is really cool. i think i'm actually going to favorite this on youtube.

man, i've been really digging FM synths lately, specifically from the Sega Genesis/Megadrive soundchip.

here are some arrangements of songs from other games using the genesis soundchip
Super Metroid (assorted songs)

Mega Man X3 - Intro Stage

Mega Man X3 - Toxic Seahorse

Sonic 4 - Splash Hill Zone

legitimate in-game FM synth songs - not exclusively Genesis.

Streets of Rage 2 - Straight On (lvl 1-1)

Streets of Rage 3 - Fuze

Akumajo dracula X68000 - Thrashard in the Cave

Akumajou Dracula X68000 - Etude for the Killer
