Forum Slang; understanding it

People use this when nobody is replying their threads, and their thread is getting pushed to the back page. Chat Room: A page that you can have live chat with your other forum members. Emoticon: Also know as "smilies." Flame: A hostile and insulting interaction between forum members. (that line was copied directly from Wikepedia.) Flood Control: An option that can be changed in the Admin CP: This option makes it so that you have to wait X number of seconds between each post that you make. Forum Game: A text-based multiplayer game. Moderator: A member that has been granted the ability to delete others posts, edit others posts, topic titles and descriptions, etc... Role Play: A form of text based games that lets multiple people make a characters and tell a story with them, while all along following the whole plot of the big story. Spam: There are many kind of spam, but the most common is posting completely pointless, random and off thread posts. Stick Post: A thread that has been "pinned" so it does not get bumped to the back page, and/or so members will see it when they sign in.
