"Come on, Mel, pleeeeeease?"
The brown wyvern shook her head, shuffling around in the middle of the large green space. She didn't like it here much; it was open and exposed, and people had a tendency to stare at a wyvern who followed a human around. Terrors were supposed to cause trouble, not be wheedled with!
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeease?"
Shaking her head more vigorously this time, Melissa took a step back and tried to settle herself. Her bonded had decided that, out of all the things she could have done today, she wanted to try and have her new shiny to take her flying. Flying! Humans didn't fly... Not without wings, anyway. And though Miroir was small and she was not, she didn't want to risk dropping the woman when they were up in the air.
"I know you can do it! You're so big and strong and... flappy!"
Her bonded's mind showed her as a positively enormous creature, dwarfing everything and everyone as Miroir clung to her neck, high overhead. Instead, the wyvern sent back an image of a sudden gust of wind, blowing the woman loose.
"I could stay between your wings, then!"
Another picture, the motion of flapping wings dislodging her and once again causing a fall.
"You could hold me with your feet!"
Miroir then slid free in midair, or else she was flattened when the wyvern tried to land.
Crossing her arms, the woman sat down huffily on the grass. Surely there had to be a way to convince her shiny that she could fly along with her; perhaps someone else with a creature of their own would be able to help make a case?
Melissa, however, was hoping someone might come along and tell her bonded how bad of an idea this was.

Unfortunately for Melissa, the next person to find them wasn't wise enough to know how much of a bad idea that flying on a wyvern's back was. As a matter of fact, Spinnerwhelsk was, without a doubt, pretty stupid in general; it's not his fault that he's a child half-wher who spent most of his life toiling for tormenting tormentors!

Young Spinnerwhelsk came running to the training greens on all fours, Colory the Pinata Shafa riding on his back as if the wherboy were some ridable beast. Chasing them both was Squeakers, the terror wyvern. Rather quickly, three things happened in sequence: first, Spinner noticed the girl and wyvern "discussing," and skidded to a stop next to them. Secondly, the shafa exploded into a stream of confetti all over Spinnerwhelsk's back as third, Squeakers crashed into the wherboy and they both went tumbling for several feet. Both Spinnerwhelsk and the wyvern came out with scrapes and scratches, but that was beside the point for Spinner, who began limping back toward the girl and sniffing the air around her. "F-frind?" He asked tentatively, explaining "She say... need friend." The wherboy, wearing nothing but his trademark tuber-sack pants, gestured toward the wyvern he had just tumbled with.

Katzbalger was wandering through the town, happily enjoying the nice weather with Lalita by her side. The little white Tzingane was happily walking next to her bonded, when Alecto, who had been stretching her wings and flying over the town sent a picture to Katz. This picture showed a small group of people and shinies. Two of them held the Terror's special interest, as they were Wyverns themselves, and one of them Alecto recognized as one of her sisters from before she had bonded. With this picture, the Terror was asking a question of Katz, asking if they could go there to take a look, as she was curious what this all was about.

Having seen this picture from her Wyvern, Katz got curious herself about what exactly was going on at this strange park. Alecto immediately sent another picture, leaving Lalita just enough time to get into Katz' backpack, before Alecto came swooping down like a blue missile, giving Katz the opportunity to hold onto the Terror's feet. In a blink, they both were gone from the ground.

After only a short flight, Alecto was slowing down, flying low above the ground, allowing her bonded to let go and jump to the ground, before she landed just a few meters behind Katz, watching everything with mint-green eyes. Her keen gaze took in everything that was going on, lingering for a moment on the little half-wher. Now, that seemed more interesting than her ex-sister, or some unknown Terror. She promptly sent a mind-image to everyone, showing a picture of Spinnerwhelsk. A slight curiousity came with the picture, as if she were asking "Well, what are you? I don't really care that much, but still."

Katz was just about to say something, when the little Chavi was struggling to get out of the backpack. Katz took it off, and promptly, a small white head poked through the opening, bright blue eyes looking around. Are we there? Can she come out? Oh, are the Gadje her bonded's friends? Katz quickly picked up her little Tzingane and set her on the ground, smiling at her. The darling little Chavi always thought everyone was her friend. Then she looked at her surroundings, a bit at a loss as to what she should say to the group. Well, why not stick to the truth? She pointed at Alecto. "Alecto here, she was curious. Wanted to know. What are you doing?" She cocked her head to the side a little and looked at the group.

Before she’d had a chance to get into a huff about not getting what she wanted, a very large distraction came to take her attention. A distraction in the form of a dragon-boy and very, very yellow wyvern running through and crashing into each other, which resulted in... confetti?
She’d never encountered an exploding Shafa before, and thus had to assume the paper and sparkles came from someone’s pocket.
Then the boy spoke. What was that? Something about a friend?
Yeah, Mel!” Miroir turned to her own shiny, a big smile on her face. “You need friends. Wiv-urn friends!
The Terror tilted her head to one side; if she could have frowned, she would have. Friends? Big, scary Terrors didn’t have friends...
But the brilliant yellow wyvern did seem unusual. It might be a good idea to investigate. So she got down on all fours and cautiously snaked her nose out towards the smaller Terror, to see what this creature was about.
It was then that a gust of wind blew up, which had both Miroir and Melissa turning to see what had caused it. Why, none other than the Speed-Demon Terror! Both women recognized her; Miroir from the scene at the inn, and her wyvern from having been her sister-in-flight for quite some time.
Miroir also hadn’t missed that Katsbalger had been attached to the creature’s feet while flying.
See, see?! You can do it! They can do it, and you can do it too! And you’re bigger than that one!
The woman had gotten so excited that she missed the blue Terror’s image-question. For her part, Melissa was rather flustered, and not sure quite how to deal with the sudden influx of human-people and wyverns and paper bits and tiny talking white fluffballs and queries. She moved several paces back and hissed a little, trying to find more room so that she wouldn’t feel so surrounded.
The Speed-Demon asked a question she didn’t know how to answer, but then the woman with her rephrased it. She answered back, a picture of the happily babbling woman wanting to ride on a brown wyvern, before falling off to her certain doom. And, she didn't add, the newcomers had just added fuel to the fire.

(( Edit: I moved the topic to the Spleafnet site, right here!))
