- Pianta
-
Pianta, one of the two most abundant species native to Isle Delfino, mainly reside in the Delfino Plaza and Pianta Village, but may be spotted elsewhere. Piantas are distinguished by their mono-colored skin (which can be of an array of colors) and tree on the top of his or her head. They typically wear grass skirts or dresses. Piantas are generally very laid-back and friendly, and most of the time you could easily strike up a conversation with them about anything. Click for image of a Pianta.
- Noki
-
Noki, the other of the two most abundant species native to Isle Delfino, are most common throughout Noki Bay or Pinna Park, and generally don't wander out of their domain. They often bear shells and are very talented in playing the conch shell. Noki are generally more trusting at first than Piantas, but not as laid-back and bit more high strung. They are very petite and have excellent underwater capability. Click for image of a Noki.
- Koopa Troopa
-
Koopas are one of the most common enemies on Isle Delfino, but they are also playable. Koopas come in many two different forms (Troopas and Paratroopass) and either of them are playable. Please do not bend Koopa reality (etc. make a Bowser clone.) They are often yellow with green, red, or even blue shells and can remove them to throw them at their enemies. Click for image of a Koopa.
- Toad
-
Toad are the underlings of Princess Peach and Toadsworth. They spot a mushroom cap that may be a variety of coors. In order to distinguish themselves, Toads may decorate themselves with bows and ribbons. Most of them are defenseless and panic easily, though some are more courageous and brave. Although not native to Isle Delfino, they have been coming in by the shipload and have been seen everywhere. - Yoshi
-
Yoshi are reminiscent of dinosaurs and have a multitude of colors like green, blue, orange, or pink. They have the unique abilities to suck up enemies and excrete them out in an egg and to spit juice at will (if they have eaten a fruit.) Yoshi must keep eating fruit to survive and as such are often very profound eaters. They are quite fast and speedy but need to take many breaks to eat or rest. Yoshis cannot touch water or they will get knocked out. Click for image of a Yoshi.
- Tanooki
-
Tanooki are often forgotten elements of the Mario universe. They are raccoon-like humanoids that often run stores like Delfino Plaza Blue Coin Shop or the Noki Bay Boat Rentals. They are not avid fighters and tend to be very greedy and overprice items. They are good-heartened and seem to have a secret code with all heroes and legends by letting them get items free. You need to be careful with a Tanooki around, because you may not know what he's going to trick you into purchasing. Click for image of a Tanooki.
- Birdo
-
Birdos are creatures that have made their appearance in a wide variety of locales, and were discovered on Isle Delfino only in recent years. Not much is known about Birdos, besides their ability to biologically produce eggs. Birdos are very fond of bows, whether male or female; however, not many male Birdos are known to exist. There is not much interest surrounding Birdos, but feel free to come up with your own histories and mythologies. Click for image of a Birdo.
- Blooper
-
Blooper is a squid-like creature about the size of a Koopa Troopa that mainly resides in the water, but has the ability to move on land. All Bloopers have from three to twelve tentacles of varying size that they use for motion and offense. Bloopers are seemingly aligned and allegiant with Gooper Blooper. Many of them can be found around the Ricco Harbor area. They love the water. Certain Bloopers have evolved to possess mountable qualities and can be riden. Click for image of a Blooper.

- Foreign
-
Foreign Races are races that are not easily required/require special usage or are not native toe Isle Delfino. There are two ways to acquire the ability to role play a Foreign Race: You can win it through a contest (which is most often how you will role play one) or you can simply ask permission (unlikely). If your reputation and role playing skill is good enough and the staff deems you available to role play one, the staff will allow you the role play one. Do not expect to be able to role play a Foreign Race when you just join the site. Some examples of Foreign Races are but not limited to: Shy Guys, Ninji, Bandit, Goomba, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, Klepto, and Lakitu. List is subject to change at any time.
- Restricted
-
Restricted Races are races that are deemed to powerful or monstrous to be role played by the general public. The only coincidence a Restricted Race will ever be role played is if the staff asks a normal member if they are interested, or if a staff member chooses to role play a Restricted Race. Some examples of Restricted Races are but not limited to: Gate keeper, Shadow, Mecha, Phantamanta, Eely Mouth, Wiggler, Piranha Plant, and Gooper Blooper. List is subject to change at any time.
- Canonical
-
Canons may be played, but only under various conditions. Canons are characters that actually come from the Mario universe (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Daisy) are all canons. In order for it to be a Canon there must only be one of them! (Yoshi is not a Canon, for instance.) You must have 300 posts to be able to role play a Canon and must pass a test, located on the Canon Character Template. If any requirements are not met, you will not be able to role play a Canon.
