In the movie there was about 115 settlers and like 300 to 350 indians. I personally think John Ratcliffe reasons why below. 1. Armor-Steal vests-leather pants. 2. Muskets 3. Cannons 4. Swords & Axes steel 5. Helmets Those are some of the reasons why I think he would win.

Member Posts: 5 Group: Members Member #50 Joined: Nov 10, 2009	I say settler sense. 1. the weapons are totally better. 2. they have armor- 3. a indian arrow would bounce of the armor plating they wore. The legs and face are there only weakness. Legs were protected by tough leather.

Posts: 38 Group: Global Support Team Member #29 Joined: Jun 29, 2009	Settlers because armor makes the military. Lets think of a scenario. 1. Ratciffe has more technology and better armor and weapons. Powhattan has numbers. Ratcliffe's 1st volley would ruin the indians moral as like 100 plus of there comrades fall. 2. is that powhattan fires first and only kills like 5 or 6 settlers. The settlers had armor from head to toe.

Posts: 22 Group: Global Support Team Member #61 Joined: Nov 14, 2009	Well, the settlers we know had steel helmets and breast plates. They also had hard leather chaps which allowed them to have mobility. If they had steel plated they would move really slowly.
