Welcome to the Wilderness...
IC
Spring : April (April Begins: March 20th)
Spring is really kicking in now. The world seems much greener and in general the weather is much warmer, even ideal. Rain visits the land in short bursts, and frequently. When it's not raining, the sky is fairly clear and the sun is bright and warm. It looks like it will be a promising month, full of hope and life for all the animals in the Wilderness.
Mating: No
Pups: Yes

In the begining there was darkness, or rather the founder of the Blacktooth Pack was a very large midnight colored wolf. He ruled with what most would think an Iron fist, but rather it was unlike that. He and his mate found themselves growing old before they had ruled the pack for two years.
Blacktooth and his mate had only found themselves with two pups, three others had died either before they could know the world, or not long after. They were Palepelt and Brighteye. Plainly Palepelt was the more dominate of the two, but no one could guess how far he would go.
Not long after he matured Palepelt found his place in his pack very unsatisfactory. He thought it could be time to challenge his all too soft father.
He came up to him like he would have any other day, but this time Palepelt had the fur on his back raised. He stalked up to the large ebony wolf. But Blacktooth was not unaware of what Palepelt was doing.
The lighter wolf went at his dark father, and a battle ensued. Blacktooth was easily beaten, and even though Blacktooth was Palepelt's father, he was cast out of the pack. No one ever saw him again.
After that the pack was relatively quiet, not much happened, not even Palepelt taking a mate from the females of the pack. He knew that he needed to find a mate soon, or his line would disappear.
Though not long after this predicament presented itself, a solution was not far behind.
A beautiful lone wolf named Raven came to the territory for acceptance.
Palepelt was taken by her immediately. He began to court her, and soon she was the new alpha female. She was a very good alpha, the wolves in the pack liked her and she seemed to take to the responsibility wonderfully.
They were both excited to have pups, and they spared no time in having them. The first season they were together Raven became pregnant. It seemed to go wonderfully, but like the alphas before them, the pups came stillborn. They were both terribly saddened, the whole pack felt their pain.
The year went on, with out the usual happiness of pups, so the pack seemed in more of a depressed role until the next breeding season. Raven became pregnant once again, and most of the pack was afraid she would miscarry once again.
However this time, Raven was stronger and had to believe that her pups would be fine. She did it. Two pups were born that spring and the whole pack could not begin to contain their joy.
The pack raised the pups to the best of their ability and they grew up well. It was not long before Sawtooth, one of only two pups Palepelt and Raven would have, became more and more dominate.
Finally Palepelt just stepped down from his position. Sawtooth took up his position, the alphaship once again with out two partners.
Sawtooth ruled well, not as compassionately as those before her, but the wolves were happy. That was when tragedy struck. For two years Sawtooth had ruled the forest, but a freak accident, a lightning bolt hitting a much too dry forest, had Sawtooth's future crumbing down upon her with the falling ash. For now she is alone.
