Laws 1 ~ Have Fun If there is something about Role-Playing that everyone should keep in mind is that most importantly, above all else, Role-playing should be fun. If it wasn’t fun, it wouldn’t be worth it. So when you are posting here, try to have a good time, and make the best out of it. I want people to be able to feel as though they are a part of this group. Posting Rules I bid thee welcome fair stranger, to the laws of the magical land of Inora. Sit back, and enjoy the long boringness that follows. By the way, people call me Khallayne (If I am to stay true to myself, people call me Khay). I’m your friendly, sometimes strict, manager. Come to me with anything you see fit, or if ever you just want to chat. Now shall we begin? ... ... ... ... 1. No Godmoding or Powerplaying. This creates managerial mobs. You dun want that. 2. Respect all members, in OoC of course. Whatever was born in the past, keep it in the past. Have a problem with anything, we managers are here to deal with that. 3. When it comes to writing, write somewhat properly. Meaning, no chat speak, leet, and such. Just check your posts (every now and again) Mistakes are accepted. 6. Many of the events will be taking place out of time. If you want to know what happens when, check the timelines. But don’t be afraid to have one character participate in more than one event. 7. Do not forget to participate in the different sections of Inora! The Weyr and the Base hold all the same importance to me. I will not have them be ignored! 8. Savage life… Er Weyr life or Base life... Er… Town… Er… whatever life has drama and excitement too! Travel from one town to another, create havoc, we welcome it all! Go from the Weyr to the lands, you are allowed! Have an affair with the Lady of such and such! Disaster shall be magnificent and we shall all be secretly giggling in the end! (By the way, no traveling from Weyr to Base. No allowed. Instant murder... >.<) 9. Never forget to create plots and havoc! Character Rules 1. Your characters are your creations. Have as many as you can handle, and as many as you like. Be creative. Create your own races, I don’t care. Just keep them with flaws. And be sure to have a lot of variety. If all characters were a sole race, it’d get boring. If you make a new race, a race description would be appreciated. 2. Do not make perfect characters. Give them flaws, give them colour, give them life. Show me one perfect character in real life, and I’ll be happy to prove you otherwise. ^_^' 3. Be Evil! Be Cunning! Be Deceitful, but above all else, don’t fall within the norms of how people think characters from certain sections should act. Don’t be afraid to make them anyway you want. 4. Don’t only be about drama… I know drama keeps the zest in characters, but too much of it is sickening. There can be pain, but there can also be happiness. Follow that. You don’t only have bad days… I know everyone has varying amounts of lives of woes, but there are sun-filled days too. 5. When joining with dragonrider, the dragon choices that are currently available to you are on the adoption page. Check it out. If what you want isn’t on the adoption page, you can either wait, or create a candidate to test your luck. If you don’t want to risk it, pick a different dragon colour. The same thing applies with pets. Please respect this. Event Rules 1. Want a major event to happen? Gathers, flights, clutches, races, childbirth, contests, finding a creature litter, or such? Run them through the managers. We’re open to havoc… I mean fun… ^^’ 2. All clutches must be run through the managers. You throw us the number of eggs, and what dragon colours you would like. You can have a say in what kind of descriptions you would like; however, the admins will have the final say in numbers and colour types. The admins will also be and their descriptions, and we will approve them. From there, you must tell us who is impressing which dragon. Why? Because it allows us to see if that match works or not. We know most of the preferences. Also, not every dragon in a clutch is allowed to impress. In some clutches, often, the less people you impress, the more likely we are to accept it. This is because we need darlings for the adoption page, silly! WARNING: Specifics will be given in the posts below, please read. Remember that everything is proportion to the amount of activity that is happening in the group. If there isn't much activity, people aren't going to want to spend their time creating something fun and big. So, if there isn't enough people, the approximate time for these things can get much longer. |
