Link
Personality:

To put it plainly, Michael is the type of person that is the most likely to argue and fight with people. This stems from the fact that he is one of the most negative people out there, mainly about ideas, especially if they conflict with his own. The only time when this is pushed to the side is when he is arguing with a woman, which happens little, in which case he is wrong. It doesn't matter what Michael thought at first, after a beautiful woman throws her opinion in it is right. He is even likely to argue with the same people that sided with him, strangely enough, which causes him to not have a lot of people who like to support his side of any argument. Should two women be the people arguing, Michael does his best to try to get them to stop.

This camaraderie doesn't extend to his fellow men, who he sees as competition for the attention and praise of the people that Michael wants attention and praise from. Against them, he is never wrong in his own eyes. He is even likely to raise his voice, to try to proverbially beat his chest in the hopes that they will be forced to back down from their side of the argument. When he isn't arguing, however few times that is, he tries to make sure that those around him think of him highly. It would almost seem as though his sense of self-worth is tied into everyone else's sense of his worth. This is less so when it comes to men, yet still there, and it is something rather pathetic in the long term.

All of this means that Michael never maintains one argument, or even one opinion, about anything at all. He is likely to side with one argument on one day and the opposite the next.

Powers: At this point, the control of his cells isn't perfected. With this, he had been able to prfect his eyesight. This doesn't remove the glasses, he has grown to like the way that they look. Another aspect that he has been able to work on is the ability to create muscles, which has given him the ability to overpower the common person (even the common physically fit person). More useful, however, is the ability to heal that he has fostered through the need. While he cannot create an entire limb, leg or arm, he can reattach them with ease. Smaller regenerations, hands feet, ears, and things of those nature can be created. Some organs, as well, though they can all be healed to an extent given enough time. A lot of cuts, a majority of wounds that people wound get, can be healed. In worst cases, he merely stops the blood from flowing and slowly heals the wound to prevent his own death. He can also control his most of the aspects of his appearance and vitals. Hair color, eye color, skin tone, metabolism, absorption of minerals/vitamins, weight within fifty pounds, and even adding height or taking it away. This has limits, a foot either way.

Power potential: Almost everything about a person deals with their cells, which in the case of somebody with perfect control of their own cells means that there is a lot that a person can do with that power. One important thing is that the "controls" of the body are his. Metabolism, growth of fingernails and toenails, and even the absorption of minerals/nutrients into the body are all things that can be controlled. Hair color, eye color, skin color, height, weight, and hair, all of these things are determined in the end down at the cellular level. Appearance in general is something that would never be forced to be a constant. This means that Michael can continue to look as he does indefinitely, which is something that runs into another important thing. Age is determined by the fact that cells have a finite lifespan and a finite number of times that they can split. That is not the case for Michael, who can create cells within his own body indefinitely, causing the years to mean absolutely nothing to him. That isn't the only thing that his powers grant him, though it is one of the most useful. Another thing that he can do, given the fact that he can create cells within himself, is create muscle mass. It has limits, though, giving him only what a human could do if they were at their peak. This is good for a fight, even if he doesn't really know much about fighting. Another, somewhat interesting thing, thing on that note is the fact that he can heal wounds that are done to him. This is done in different ways, depending on the nature of the wound. Even limbs can be remade in this way, and organs as well. The time it takes also varies by that, and even then there are ways that can inevitably kill him.
Other skills: High School education
Equipment: a collection of electronics (laptops, desktops, smartphones, etc)

History:

It is safe to say that it's obvious how the life of Michael Goff started, all lives start the same. The only thing that changes are the names of the parents, in this case being a Pamela Holder and an Alan Goff. Neither of them had been looking for a second child, a daughter was all that they had really wanted, but that didn't stop them from loving him all the same. A brother and a sister, only two and a half years apart, that promised to be difficult for the young couple. The fact that neither of them knew anything about parenting, aside from how to take care of somebody up to two and a half years old, didn't seem to matter as the years continued to pass. Michael grew the way that would be expected, even learning how to speak using full sentences by the age of one and a half. Things were going great.

At the age of four, however, something strange happened to poor little Michael. He had been running around in the house, something that wasn't allowed at all, when he suddenly tripped and fell on his face. This wasn't something that was strange, nor was the fact that he had busted his lip open. Crying was the normal reaction, too, but the thing that happened next was something that neither of his parents had anticipated. The child's lip started to slowly mend itself, almost as if by his sheer will, and within a few minutes it didn't even look like it had happened at all. It was decided that they had been hallucinating, the event couldn't have happened, neither of them could think of a reason why it would. And so they continued to raise him as any parent would, wanting the best for their child, ignoring the thing which might make them an outcast.

So life moved on, and he continued his life as any normal person would. Headstart, Kindergarten, and on through the public schooling was what it seemed Michael was destined for. Around the age of eight, however, the reports home from school were becoming more bizarre than the parents would have wanted. The unique ability to not sustain the small wounds, the sight of what seemed to be them repairing themselves, and then there were a few accounts that Michael's eyes had changed color in the middle of the day. All of that pushed the parents to move away from the town that they had grown to love. New York, that would be a place where everyone would ignore the strange things about their child, that sounded like a good place for them to relocate. An entire year was spent getting a house, getting a job in the city, and finally moving. That wasn't going to be enough, though, as the strange occurrences only started to increase. Larger injuries seemed to heal themselves, hair color and skin tone were reported to be changed at times.

Another move was talked about, but this time Michael overheard the discussion. This time he wasn't going to move again, this time he was going to show them that he knew how to survive without having to move away from the city that he had started to like a lot more than the tiny town he came from. That was why he took all of the clothes that he had, waited until his sister went to bed, and walked out the front door for the last time. He knew he could survive, the city itself woulf help him out. That didn't turn out as well as he hoped, though, and within six months he was starting to steal from whoever he could. It was either that, go back and hope his parents would take him back in, or find some homeless shelter. The first was the one that he chose, however, and soon enough he started to get good at finding the people who had a lot more than they needed.

One of these people had a mansion, and the good thing for Michael was the fact that the man was restricted to a wheelchair. It had been a year and a half since he had started, and he was only twelve years old, the time on the streets had given him time to practice what he could do to help his own survival. Now there were greater injuries that he could heal, he could change his appearance, there seemed to be no limit to what he could do. That was why he had gone after the mansion, thinking it would be easy for him to get in and out. Another thing in his life turned out to be unexpected, though, as the trip to the mansion ended with a piece of wood sticking out of his side and his attempted retreat. The piece of wood was the easier part, he just took it out and could wait for the injury to heal. Getting out seemed to be the impossible thing, as soon the wheelchair bound man stopped him and was holding him in the air.

The coolest part about it was that it was without the use of his hands...

After that, things started to turn out alright, Michael being given the two options of making something better of himself or going to jail. Food, shelter, schooling, it was all too obvious which one Michael would choose. And so his education started again, this time it was with people who had unique talents. None of them were like him, but they were more alike than the other people that went to the public schools. There were a lot of beautiful women there, too, but for a while he knew that he had to focus on his studies. As soon as he graduated, that would be when he would be able to look for the right woman. Or possibly right women. Regardless, it took him a total of eight years to get the education that he had missed, he had anticipated being told to leave and for him to go get a normal job and to act like a normal person after his education was done. Unexpectedly, he was asked to stay and help teach the new arrivals. He was also asked to join a group of people, such as himself, who had been dubbed the "X-men". All of this seemed strange, but it meant that he had food, a roof over his head, and everything else that he really needed.

It should be obvious to everyone how he chose to answer the offer...

- Are you sure you're not being a bit too modest with the powerset here? Very limited shapeshifting + healing can be hard to roleplay.
