Who needs DMC HD ![]() Models straight from DMC4. Old screens Update: Reworked that embarrassment of a texture. Update 2: Fixed weights, now they are definitely animated, though it's not really an animation in gameplay, they just teleport back and forth. I also got them working in cutscenes, though don't expect an exporter yet, i had to manually paste all the buffers with a hex editor (though did write a helper script to correct pointers automatically), gotta figure out bones and texture linking still, plus some other things. screenies Extract the files into native/rom if you got Style Switcher installed or follow this guide to pack them into GData.pac Download Edited by Cheburat0rr, Apr 18 2018, 01:10 AM.

Nice. I assume they're not animated (the sliders moving while shooting). |

They are animated. But it's hard to really tell anyway. |

Oops, just checked a recording frame by frame, nope, not moving. Either the plugin author put wrong weights in the example or i did something wrong. I had weird issues with Rebellion not spinning when performing Prop (but spinning just fine with Shredder follow up), but it was fixed with different weights or something, don't remember. |

This is awesome. Do you plan on porting other things like the shotgun, Force Edge, or Yamato? |

Oh I see. Well like you said, it's not that noticeable if they're not animated. |

Trev, tried the shotie, but it won't export even, as expected since the plugin only supports awakened Rebellion, guns, Cerberus, A&R and Spiral. |

I didn't know DMC3 model editing was a thing. Is it a Max Script again? I mean if it's a Blender script and it works good I might give it a try, even though I don't have DMC3.

It's the n3Xus's plugin for max, it's got issues even with the supported models, like the whole in the wip Rebellion you can see on my second screenshot. There's also a script, which can import skeleton, though with messed up skinning, but can't export. I'm a giant noob without much experience in binary formats reversing and i'd have to learn a lot on the go, but i wanna give DMC HD models (at least 3) a try as part of learning. Can't guarantee any meaningful results beyond what we already got in any reasonable time, but it'll be for Blender, since it's my main 3d package and it's available to everyone without any hassle. Also, i haven't really done much learning on how animations work, still have to tackle quaternions. |
