Model swapping; What the title says

So, I have a request/question to ask you guys, the more seasoned modders around. I've been lurking here for a few weeks now, downloading mods and loving them all, but now I have something to ask. I'm trying to swap models in cutscenes, and I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some guidance. What I really want to do is, I want to have Nero wield Rebellion in his cutscenes and, if possible, I want him to wield Ivory as well in place of Blue Rose, even though he doesn't use Blue Rose all that much in cutscenes, I already have a mod that gives me these items in-game, it's called DMC1 Dante colors for Nero, I don't remember the name of the author, so forgive me for not giving proper credit, but, their mod gives Nero the Rebellion and Ivory while in-game, now I just want to make it so Nero can use them in cutscenes, but I've tried the little I know in terms of model swapping (which is to say almost nothing at all) and nothing worked, so I turn to you guys.

I'll appreciate whatever help you guys can give me, even if it's just directing me to a tutorial or something, thank you in advance!

So here is the deal. Player demo model swapping is easy (and I am kind of thankful to the person that made THAT decision to make player model arc outside of demo arc files, but hate that they did not do that with weapons), but... weapon swapping is hell. I'll try to explain it as short as I can

So... basically what you have to and can do is two things.


Option #1 (the option most people, atleast me, would kill them selves doing because it is both TIME and HDD space consuming) You have to find/know what nativePC/rom/demo arc file contains the .mod .mrl and .tex files you need to replace and run them trough Fluffys ArcTools (not gonna link it now, but maybe later, because you will need it for this either way) dmc4se.bat file to export them. (And you know what there is a shitload of arc files that contain both red queen and red rose.) Then you need to find/have the rebellion model and do the swapping, which I think you don't really know how to do completely correctly. You then need to replace the .mod .mrl and NM/BM/MM .tex files. Then you need to edit the .mrl file, because each model is tied to a mrl file, by using hex editor. After doing that correctly, you need to pull the file on to dmc4se.bat to convert it back in to an .arc file. And you need to do that to ALLOT OF FILES.

Option #2 (that I use and I would recommend to EVERYONE, If anyone cared) The hex invalidation method, the method that was mostly used on vanilla dmc4 by most moders, but not by other people, so the mods we/I used to make only worked for people that used this method, and then I and other moders would have to explain how can other people use them too.
First you need to have Hex edditor (NEO is a personal recomendation but what the fuck do I know. Also back ups. Make back ups of those files) then you need to oppen and .arc demo file/s that contains RQ and BR with said hex edditor and search for model/demo/wp000/wp000 there is 3 one is .mod one is .mrl and another is I don't fuken know. and you need to change atleast one letter in that (make sure that you don't press backspace or Delete and save because that will fuck up the file and you'll need to replace it) most people I know including me use the letter x to replace the begining of that. Here is THE example xodel/demo/wp000/wp000 Then you also need to do that to the textures tied to RQ and BR and save and do that to shitload of other .arc demo files that makes the game to look for the models and other thing in the game folders and not in the .arc file
Step 2 (which should be step 1) you need to extract rebellion and ebony with Fluffys ArcTool and put rebelion model and mrl in model/demo/wp000/ and rename both mod and mrl from wp005 to wp000, but put texture files in model/demo/wp005 (that is because you wouldn't have to edit mrl file, also this saves time with ALOT of other model swithcing) And that should be it

Also someone could make an custom ivalidator for SE demos, because someone did make one for vanilla (was it Lucas? I don't remember)

I know this is a shity explanation, you'll probably won't understand this.
